I miss old fashioned Samurai Jack, before the guy reinvented how he did it.

I was exteremely surprised just how violent older cartoons were, I can recall where in a Batman episode someone actually got shot...with a gun neutral

I'm not sure I miss My Gym Partner is a monkey....I liked the show, but then there were certain...comparisons that we will not speak of.

What reinvention are you speaking of, Confuseus? I don't recognize one at all. I was still pissed that the last eps were just there for the sake of being there.

NOW If I can put on my nerd hat for a minute.

The episode that Fonso is talking about is I Am The Night. It's the one where Commissioner Gordon gets shot. Fantastic episode, one of my faves. There are a few other ones I can name as well.

The Return of The Joker movie had that 'Tim Drake' Robin capping Joker in the heart, and it shows him doing it. Awesome movie.

In the episode The Strange Secret of Bruce Wayne there is that part where you can here Joker killing somebody.

There was also the WB Batman episode where it takes place AFTER a murder. Joker kills this guy and it shows the crime scene...through photos, but still.

One more, In the episode Off Balance: In the first minute of the episode Batman is attacked by Ras Al Ghul's (and its pronounced 'RAYSH' not 'Raaaaahz' MR. NOLAN!!!) Ninjas. After he whoops their a** (of course) the ninjas kill themselves. Poison gas installed in their masks.

You know, after the little hiatus that Dexter's Lab and Jack took, he finally got back to making episodes, but the whole direction and feeling was lost, Jack looked similar, but it was no longer the same, and Dexter was drawn different and totally messed up.

I remember that. Dex looked like crap. And Jack wasn't really about him going back to his own time. Just him being there.

Yeah, they happened at the same time. Just lost the touch.

I think this is because Gendy turned all his attention onto The Clones Wars.

Which is STILL awesome.

In one final sacrificial burst, Gendy put all his awesomeness into clone wars, making it one of the most under rated and not well known new star wars adaptations ever. Then he dragged what was left of him to his easel to crap out the rest of Dexter and Jack.

I miss the old spongebobs dearly, the ones with homoerotic undertones and that one episode where he's watching sea porn on t.v

I miss cartoons being edgy, period. If cartoons now were playing it anymore safe they would require helmets when watching.

Not as to say that it HAS to be edgy to be enjoyable, Chowder, Fosters, and Monkey are the best examples I can give in that regard.

The closest thing to edgy for a while was Ed, Edd, and Eddy. That's only because of the lots of puberty jokes.

Well, edgey isn't the word I'd use. More dangerous, because there are a lot of cartoons trying to be edgy and extreme, just lacking danger. Ed, Edd and Eddy was a great cartoon.

E, E & E being a great cartoon is agreed. I loved that show.

I think the ones that do try to be edgy are the action ones, Batman brave and the bold, and Wolverine and the X-Men, etc. I don't think this applies to comedy cartoons.

Edgy isn't something I'd call the brave and the bold.
