Ember frowned and slapped khalid hard "your such an a**! You missed the breakdown because you were dead! And ryou was worried about you! You shouldent treat him like that!"

Khalid didn't try to prevent the slap, mainly because he didn't see it coming. "Well, at least that got a reaction out of you." He grumbled, rubbing his cheek. It felt bruised. "The reason I was dead is because of your dear boyfriend. I hope to repay the favor." He paid no attention to Ryou, who had backed off but was watching him with hurt reproach.

Khalid watched Ember leave with a smirk. He then turned towards Ryou, offering a hand to the boy. "I didn't mean what I said, of course." He said soothingly, and had to reach down and take a hold of Ryou's hand when he didn't move. "You still love Kira and probably always will, my dear."
Ryou shook his head, and began to tremble. "No..." He said, his voice sounding faint to himself. "I don't think I do. I mean, I used to. I still feel attached to her. Just not... romantically. I'll do whatever I can to help her, but..." Ryou struggled, and Khalid hugged him close. Ryou clung tightly to his husband, feeling sickened by himself.

This made the normaly nice kawi frown "Alright your heathly. you two can go now." she said and walked into the kicthen and angery look on her face.

Khalid kissed Ryou briefly. "She's right. Come on." He said, teasingly. Ryou felt awful-- Khalid had to support him as they left. He got Ryou into the car and then got in himself before driving off.
Yugi looked up from the counter he was scrubbing as Kawi entered. "What's the matter?" He asked, shocked by her angry expression. She didn't get angry that easily.

"Oh, calm down." Yugi said, going over to Kawi. He hugged her. Since when were Ryou and Kira soul mates? He thought they went together really well, sure, but... "He's grown since he first met Kira. People change their minds about who they love." He said weakly, trying to defend Ryou's decision, which he really didn't support. "But, yeah, I don't know what he sees in Khalid. There has to be something. It's his decision."

"You're sounding like Atem. He htinks that Khalid brainwashed Ryou or something." Yugi said, with a sigh of his own.He didn't get what was so hard to understand that Ryou might have just moved on.
"s**t." Khalid slammed on the brakes, oblivious of traffic. His husband flung his arms up to avoid bashing his face into the dash board. "We forgot Kai." He began to turn the car around. He had been coldly silent to Ryou, and Ryou had been silent right back. He finally glanced over at his white-haired companion. "You were really convincing, you know."
"It isn't hard." Bakura answered loftily, not looking to Khalid. "Ryou's a terrible liar, and it would have been obvious the moment he started to say it. I'm just glad that girl reacted so angrily. One of the best reactions I could have asked for."
"What I'm having trouble understanding is... why?" Khalid turned his eyes back to the road as they headed back towards Yugi's apartment. "What does it matter what people think of Ryou's relationships? If you're just trying to hurt Ryou or Kira I'll have to tell them the truth."

"Probly did..." kawi muttered softly. "Im going to check on kai" Kawi said getting up and headed into the bedroom. Shehad put him down for a nap when they brought khalid in. Seeing he was up and playing with a pillow kawi smiled softly. Kai always managed to make her smile"hey there. You like that pillow?" Kai cooed and giggled.

Yugi lingered behind, and when there was a knock on the door he was the first to get there. He gave Khalid a friendly smile. "Oh, um, hey." He said, hoping Kawi wouldn't throw another fit if she saw him. Ryou was still sitting in the car, looking oddly bored. "Did you forget something, or...?"
"Kai." Khalid answered coolly. "I don't think it's a good idea to really leave him here anymore. I'll just take him home now, if you don't mind."

"poop." Kai said. "oh oh ok!" kawi said. She scooped him up and headed him into the bathroom. She pulled his little pants and undies down. Once he did his bisnuess she let him flush "bye bye poop!" he said waving. Kawi laughed "yes bye bye! your such a big boy now!" Kawi said pulling up his pants and hugging him "Why dont we get you some chocolate milk as a reward ok buddy?"
