Atem fired the gun again, and hit his target-- no catching was involved. He had surprisingly good aim, and caught Khalid almost directly between the eyes. Khalid's head snapped backwards with the force of the bullet and he fell to the ground. Ryou, who had been in his hold, was splattered with blood, and let out a cry as he tried to keep a grasp on Khalid and not let him fall. Atem had a grim look on his face, and turned to leave, finding no more interest in this affair.

Luci rolled his eyes at ryou "Oh dont whine. He's immortal." He scooped up kira like a sack oh potatos "But lovely timing." see ya" he said dissappering.

Inside the apartment, Yugi flinched when he heard the two gun shots. He waited impatiently until his yami opened up the door and entered, and he quickly flew to Atem. "What happened? Who did you shoot? Is everyone okay?"
Atem brushed past Yugi. "I fired at Luci, but didn't hit him. I got Khalid, at any rate. Kira is dead, but Ryou's fine. Yugi, go out there and make sure he's still okay." He spoke emotionlessly, and Yug just stayed where he was, utterly stunned.
Ryou heard Luci speak, but could hardly comprehend. His grip on Khalid lessened and his husband fell to the ground. He watched as Luci left, and was suddenly too weak to stand. He slid down to the ground, next to Khalid. The two people he loved most in this world had just died before his eyes, and he had done nothing to try and help them. Even if he knew they wouldn't stay dead, it was still tramatizing. He sobbed helplessly, using Khalid's still chest as a pillow of sorts.

"kira's dead?...agian...Oh god..." Ember said softly. Knowing ryou was out there she left the appartment going down to him.
Kawi had quickly followed yugi "thats awful.." kawi said in tears.

Ryou didn't move at first when Ember approached, but he slowly lifted his head. He was too miserable to speak; he didn't even know how he would be able to find words right then.
Yugi hugged Kawi, and looked out to make sure Ember would be okay. He could see his friend and Khalid on the ground, and wanted to go to them, but decided that it would be better to stay in.

Kneeling down she hugged ryou tight "Im sorry ryou...Im so sorry..." She said softly not exspecting him to say much.
Kawi cried softly resting her head on yugi's chest

Ryou shook his head, struggling with his tears. "I-it's fine..." He said, in a faraway voice. "They'll both be back Soon. Khalid's immortal, and Kira..." This was where he broke down crying again, and his words were hard to make out. "H-he said he does it a lot... I never noticed... He brings her right back, but she still had to suffer..." His words came out rapidly, and he couldn't make any sense of it himself. "I'm a terrible person... I should have known..."

Ember sighed She had a hard time making out hiswords "your not horible ryou. Your not a mind reader. You couldent have known any of this."

Ryou said something even more incoherent, and then looked towards Khalid. "I don't know how long it takes him to get better. I don't want to leave him on the ground. If you can help me get him into the car... I'll go home..."

"you shouldent be driving like this....I'll take you home...hold on." ember said and ran up to the appartment. "Im going to be taking ryou home."

Atem scowled. He didn't like that idea at all. He honestly felt that he was the only one thinking rationally. "I don't think he should be left alone so soon. What if Luci comes back? He should stay here."
"Right." Yugi snapped, surprisingly vicious. "Because being around the guy who just shot his husband will be much better."
"Those two shouldn't be married and you know it." Atem snarled right back at his hikari. He was very angry about Khalid and Ryou's entire relationship. He looked back to Ember. "It'll just be better if he stays here for a while. To let him calm down, at least."

"Well if ryou comes in so is khalid..." Ember said.
"Thats ok. We don't mind" kawi said refering to her and yugi. It was there apartment after all "I'll come with you. You shouldent be living hevey things."

"I'll help." Yugi offered, looking to Kawi. "We can get, uh, Khalid. Ember, you can help Ryou, I guess."

Yugi followed, and Ryou was practically in the same position Ember had left him in. YUgi went quickly to his friend and explained what was going on. "It probably isn't a good idea for you to be left alone. Not until everyone feels better, okay?" He offered a hand, and Ryou hesitantly took it. Yugi helped him carefully to his feet, and handed him off to Ember. "We'll help Khalid in, all right?" He spoke like one would to a young child; slowly and patiently.
