With her uninjured but shaking hand she pointed first to her head, which felt as though an entire lightning storm had taken place inside. "Here." She held her fingertips against her chest, smearing a little bit of blood on the dirty, violet fabric. "In here, too."
She looked back at Luke, avoiding looking at her hand. "But that's the only thing that's bleeding. I think I got all of the glass out already."
The storm inside her head did not stop just with the change of scenery. Part of her was still inside her own head, processing the information that she had acquired during the past three days. Having neither eaten nor slept in that time though, the process was much slower than usual.

*Damn. This chick was not all there. She'd really been through something.*
*Frowning, Luke looked down at her hand. Forget the Rec Room; The Brink needed a First Aid Kit. Could we make that happen? He'd have to talk to Maggie about it...*
*He pours Vodka onto a wet rag. He holds it a hair off Luana's hand.*
Brace yourself, babe. This is gonna sting.

Luana grabbed a fistfull of her shirt to keep from digging her nails into her other palm and closed her eyes tightly, but tried to remain relaxed.

*Luke administers aid in relative silence. He cleans the cut. It probably won't need to be sown.... If it does, Lu'll have to get it taken care of her in her time. He rips the dry rag in half and wraps her hand up.*
There you go. That wasn't so bad, right?
*adds* I feel like a doctor when I say that.

Luana tried to smile, but failed in the attempt.
"You sound like a doctor, too." She stared at the makeshift bandage. "But I'm kind of tired of doctors right now."

*Luke doesn't get what she means, but he doesn't ask.*
*He hands her a wet rag to wash herself up with.*
*Luke wipes his hands on his pant legs and stands up.* Well, don't worry. You're in good hands. I've never lost a patient.
I'm getting a drink. You want one?

Luana licked her lips. Her mouth was dry. She had had a bottle of water during the eleventh recording, but when was the last time she had eaten or drank anything else? Four days? More? It was something at the hospital...
She had to think about it. "Some kind of fruit drink. I don't care what."

Luana came a little closer to smiling, and even let out a breath that may have been a weak laugh. Somehow just being in this place, away from her own world, made it a little easier to deal with.
"You know I don't drink, Luke."

*Luke makes himself a Jack and coke. He gets her some apple juice and brings it over.*
Yeah, well, you don't usually come in lookin like *points* this either. *murmurs* But you did today.
*He sits down next to her.*

Luana took a sip of the juice Luke brought for her. "These are unusual circumstances."
As time went on she managed to relax a little, and it even became easier for her to complete her sentences.
"I don't usually go this long without eating or sleeping, even with a project, but I did."
How long was it again? she tried to remember. The stack of meal trays was getting pretty high when she left.

"Well, let's see... Got home from the hospital, wasn't feeling well. Couldn't sleep the second day, so I started working. Two recordings, breakfast, recording, lunch..." She went on like this for a minute, counting from memories the number of meals that Roger had brought her, but remained untouched by the door.
"A little over three days," she said finally. "It's kind of hard to tell when there's no sun."
She finished off the juice quickly after that, as if talking about it suddenly reminded her body of just how badly it needed to eat.

Three days? You haven't eaten in three days??

She nodded. "Yeah. That's more than double what I usually do when I'm into a project. I'm kind of hungry now." She stood up. "Do you think there's pizza in that fridge?"
