Luci laughed and ducked ryou missing him. Kira who had been mosionless for a while grasped her chest. she was oviously in pain.
"What?!" ember said.

"Luci gave her a pill. Didn't find out much about it. Decided to try and kill him first." Atem gave her a sharp look. "I was serious about what I said. Don't leave the apartment." He headed to the front door.
Ryou regained his balance and looked torn. He wanted to try and comfort Kira, but wanted Luci to leave even more. He felt helpless, however, knowing that he couldn't even make the guy lose his balance. He was so frustrated he could have screamed. He didn't know who he was addressing when he spoke. "What am I supposed to do here?!"

Ryou could stand it no longer. He surrendered to his pressing emotions, and didn't bother trying to act agressive. His eyes filled with tears and he let out a strangled sob, almost falling to the ground. He had seen Kira die once before, with him holding the knife. He was unaware of why had hadn't fallen, but didn't care. He clung to the person, crying uncontrollably.
Khalid's violet eyes flashed dangerously. He hadn't felt any need to follow quickly when Luci had left, but he had arrived now. He held Ryou up, one arm wrapped around his husband's waist. "Don't you think you're taking this a bit too far?"

"Hey it's not my fault he's here." Luci said and looked at hiswatch. Almost a half an hour had gone by "Dammit mabye I dident make it strong enough..."

Khalid shook his head in disgust. He enjoyed watching others in pain, but his main enjoyment was with mental matters. And not when they pushed the limits like this. Well, what could he expect? "You had no reason to come here like this. It was completely uncalled for."

"Says you" Luci said. When he heard a thud he looked down to see kira had colapsed to the ground and was unmoving "hmm..half an hour...still too weak.."

Khalid frowned, his grip on Ryou tightening somewhat as the boy squirmed to get away and go to Kira. "How long does 'bringing her back' take?"

"You've got an apartment?" Khalid asked with a scowl. He didn't like the sound of that. He didn't know if he should oppose it or approve. If Luci was gone, Ryou might feel more comfortable, and things would get almost back to normal. Of course, Kira was in a greater danger. He shook his head. "I can't leave you alone with her. She plays big parts for the future. You're interfering too much."

Khalid grit his teeth together. Being an agent of fate, he hated that phrase. A person couldn't just 'change' the 'future'. Not after so much planning and careful calculation had gone into making it what it would be. He was glad that he didn't have to respond, however. Another person had just arrived on the scene.
It was Atem, after going and getting Ember's gun. He had checked to make sure it was loaded and all, and had quickly run up to the scene, making sure to keep his distance from both Khalid and Luci. Without saying a word, he lifted the firearm and fired at Luci.

"Then what will kill you?!" Atem growled, considering trying to shoot Khalid as well. The guy deserved it, at any rate.
