And there is no kanji for lightning, however, there is a kanji for electric light.
Which is 電光
In romaji lightning is inuzuma, inabikari, raiko, or denko. And the romaji for thunder is kaminari, raimei, tenrai, ikazuchi, hekireki, gorogoro, kyo.
Remember: English to Japanese and Japanese to English is never accurate. The are both a language of thier own.

kouri-chan_xx Eh? @.@ No idea what a principal character is, sorry... Well, I would expect you to know more about characters since they're used more often in Chinese logographic writings.
Bare with me, by my definition...kanji are the Chinese characters that are used in the modern Japanese logographic writing system along with hiragana, katakana , and the Arabic numerals.

But there is only a small difference. And not in the kanji for thunder anyway xD
But somehow it got translated to Lightning Country... strange =S
Should be Thunder Country.. oh well.

If you go to English to Japanese and type, "Lightning Country" and press translate, then you should get some kanji.
However, if you copy those kanji and change the English to Japanese to Japanese to English and type in the kanji, then you should get electric light country.
