The man looked back and forth between everyone and sighed, nodding his thanks as he gave the slightly-wailing child to the girl, before putting the doll that had been in hte snow into her arms haistly, hoping on hte inside that she'd stop crying already. This whole situation was far too tense, and nothing to get younger children into, so he could sort of feel her fustration in this.
Why, WHY do I put up with this mayhem? I swear, that woman wasn't kidding when he said he was just like his daddy....he though to himself.
"You might want to check waht medication she's taking; sometimes they have emotional side effects that result in unusual behavior, especially in children." he told the girl who had suddenly spoke up, before also turning to the man as she put him on the spot.
Miki just curled up in Ciel's arms, suddenly noting how cold it was outside. Her bandages were slightly torn up on her feet, but other than that, she was mainly just cold, the heat of the moment sort of off now. She too glared at the man who was causing such a mess.
Benny sighed; she wasn't going to be much help, though he noted the tugging of hte sleeves.

Mr. Peterson looked at the girl that wanted to speak up and shrugged. "You're just a kid. Why don't you let the grown-ups handle this and go play or whatever you kids do these days?" he asked, trying very hard to not get frustrated. "Officer I appreciate your help, but right now I need to find my daughter and figure out why some one whisked her back inside."
Sara looked at the boy with pleading eyes. "Please, my leg hurts. He said he would pick up my medication for the pain on the way back home. If I don't go they'll move me to another family and I don't want to have to move again..." she said, biting her bottom lip and lookign away as she realized that she just said more than she should have.

Ciel half nodded solemnly, but otherwise didn't say anything yet. She had to wait until the right time. despite her own shivering, She held Miki tightly, trying to keep her at least slightly warm. Ciel narrowed her eyes in to dark slits as Mr. Peterson made his comment.
