Terra walked back into the tribe's main refuge cave carrying extra food for when the blizzard hit. Looking around the huge cave, along with the many connecting caves, she remembered the last time they were there. During the last blizzard, many new foxes were found out in the snow. 'Let's hope it's not the same this time,' she thought, 'I'd hate to have others stuck in the middle of a blizzard again. It's so much easier when new members appear when the tribelands are calm.'
Kyou entered the cave after his sister, bringing in herbs, in case some were injured. He also dragged in some wood that he stored in one of the side caves to keep dry. Fur alone can not always keep you warm. After he dropped everything off, Kyou went over to where Terra was waiting for him. They were both going to gather more supplies. THe tribe was big, after all, and they didn't know how lonng the blizzard may last.
Itsuki ran from border to border. She had been sent to make sure every fox on the tribelands knew where to go in case a blizzard picked up. The goal was basically to make sure no foxes were caught in the storm. 'Not like last time,' she thought. 'Many foxes were hurt because they were caught in that last blizzard. At least this time they know a blizzard may come and exactly where to go if it does.'
"We should head back with what we have now," Houka said to Koori through the dead rabbit in his mouth. At his mate's nod, he led the way back to the cave. There weren't too many berries that could suvive the climate of the Kousetsu tribelands, so Houka and Koori had set out to hunt for some food. They decided mostly to hunt rabbits and birds, and one small deer Houka now supported on his back. When the two reached the cave, they kept the pile of food near the front and covered it with snow to preserve the meat. Once they had finished, Houka sighed. "Let's hope that's enough for now."
[[That would work, right? 'Preserving the meat' by covering it in snow? It's like the primitive equivilent to sticking something in the freezer!]]

Chaussure was running, panting to get away from the cabin that she had been confined in for months, and from the man and woman that thought of her as domsticatable. Her heart ached, not because of the distance she had been running, but for Loki, whom she hadn't seen in such a long time. With her thinking of him came nostalgia, of when they played tag and she ran smack dab into a tree trunk. But now was not the time to be clumsy and mess up. She'd seen what the man did to animals, there were pelts and heads all over her wooden jail, and the woman had coddled her like a baby, insisting she be groomed and dressed everyday.
Chaus stumbled, but she would not stop, not until she got to Loki or her legs gave out. Whatever would come first.

ANd I think it would work, at least for awhile, demon.))
Rae did much the same thing as Itsuki, although she spent a large chunk of her time rounding up her six children and their mates. She needed them to be in that cave where she knew they were safe if she was going to be able to concentrate on getting anything done. At least she knew where her mate was.
However, all thoughts of her family vanished as she ran right onto another fox. Groaning, she rubed her head and looked up to see who it was.
And immediately almost fainted out of shock; she was staring straight at her adoptive mother. "M-mother?" she stumbled out. This had ot be a dream. Maybe she rna into a tree and was seeing htings? Everyone had tohught Chaussure was dead. Even her father, who had been forcing himself to keep up a front as he worked to prepare the tribe.
Impa was still grumbling to herself. Their mother had insisted all six of them tuck tails and run back ot the shetler of the caves. "Hoenstly, we've been adult for months now.I know how to take care of myself."
"Oh, get over yourself, Impa," Echo sighed, looking around the area to see if she could find Sachio. "Parents worry." She knew what had Impa dso displeased; their mother was sending them straight to their father, who would be sure not to let them out of his sight. It would be awhile before her ever-explorative sister left the sheltero f hte caves again...
Seti snorted as he walked down form the mouth of the cave to greet his siblings. "Don't even bother arguing with them," he told Impa. "I'm betting Grandfather will take their side in it anyways."
((And all the others are out doing their jobs until I need to post for them. XD))

"Better safe than sorry, though," Shin replied to his sister's complaints, also joining his siblings. "Aunt Terra said hard to tell how bad the blizzard is going to be. It'd be wisest to stay out of it as much as possible."
Umiko headed for the caves as soon as she heard the news from Itsuki. She had been on the complete opposite side of the tribe's territory and decided it best to move closer. She sniffed the air, hoping to find Remus and her daughters, Athena and Mitsuko, on her way there.

Chaussure was struggling to get up, panting from her long journey and from being hit full-force, but she fell to her legs. The momentum had been the only thing that had kept her going, and now it had been disrupted. Her exhaustion had made her dillusional when she looked at Rea and questioned....."L-Loki?"

Mitsuko followed behind her father, bored. Blizzards were a natural part of her life in this climate, and her father was acting like he'd lost his favorite playmate or something.
"Mitsuko, stop giving me that look," Remus sighed, feeling his daughter's gaze on his back. "I'm not asking to stay locked inside the cave until any possible storms die out. I just want the two of you closer to the main area so that your mother and I don't have to worry."
"Oh, pah," Impa snorted. "You too, Shin? And I thought there might actually be some courage in my family. We were born into a tribe of snow! Am I only the one who doesn't see it as a problem to be living in it?" She sighed and kept walking to the cave, prepared to give her parents a piece of her mind when they reached them.
Rae felt her insides twist as she saw the clearly delusional state her mother was in. "No," she said quietly. "It's Rae, mother. Father is..."
Where was her father? He needed to see his mate! Calling out to Loki with her mind, Rae settled down next to her adoptive mother. "He'll be here soon," she assured her quietly.
As soon as he got Rae's message, Loki tore off through the trees. At the time, he hadn't been doing much; he was only out checking their southern border for any straggling members, but he hadn't found any in the two days he had been there. At the time of Rae's message, he had been heading back, thoughts of his mate plaguing his mind.
And she was alive! Apparently exhausted, but alive! Relief flooded him and he ran faster than he had in a very long time. His family was whole again.
He ran for about twenty minutes before he caught the faint scent of Rae, and something just as familiar after so long a time: Chaus. He charged on, speeding up for that last bit of the path between himself and his mate and daughter.
Finally, he skidded to a halt next to them, panting for breath. "Chaus," he whispered, looking down at his exhausted mate. He gave Rae a return grin as she stood up and smiled at him, bending down to lick the top of her head briefly as she ran off to go check on her own children.
He was at a loss for words at the moment. Unsure what he was supposed to do, he laid down next to Chaus, wrappping his much larger body around her's. "I missed you," he whispered, unsure if his words would even make sense in her exhausted mind.

Athena walked next to Mitsuko silently. "Speaking of mother," she said, trailing off slightly. She turned her head in the direction their mother's scent was coming from.
Umiko finally caught the scent of the rest of her family. They were slightly ahead of her, also headed toward the caves. She ran to catch up to them. Nearing them, she slowed. "I'm glad I found everyone," she said.
"I can't believe this, Koori!" Houka exclaimed. They had both stayed in the cave after gathering a bit more extra food. That was when Koori told him the news.
"Well believe it," Koori replied. "Because it's true. I'm pregnant!" She sighed, lying on the ground against the wall of the cave. "It is hard to believe though, isn't it?" She said with a small sigh.
Akiko burst through the trees to where her siblings were walking towards the cave. "I finally caught up with you guys!" She exclaimed, panting slightly. "I'm tired now... let's get to that cave already."

Chaus finally managed to stand, and with a weary smile on her face she then nestled herself into his shoulder. "Loki...I-I missed you too. The tribe.....I'm so sorry. I..." She tried to continue, but she was to weary and simply fell asleep intertwined with her mate that she had not seen for months and a smile on her face.

The ferocious blizzard had forced Samui to bury himself beneath the snow. His ears were pressed flat against his head, his topaz eyes poking over the snow. The harsh winds blew over him, whistling through the trees. He knew he couldn't stay there forever. He shook the snow off his head, her ears sticking up once again. He slowly dug himself out and and shook himself to rid himself of most of the snow intertwined with her fur.
He looked out at the forest. This land was vast, but there were many members. He'd find someone, right?
He lifted one paw and stepped out on the white carpet, away from his little snow cave. More confidently, he took another step, as his first step didn't sink too far into the snow.
His pace had quickened now as he gracefully padded across the snow. The safest place to be right now was one of the caves, but he had decided to avert from that goal and find some other members first.

Houka looked down fondly at the newly born BCRs. "What are we going to name them?" he asked, looking from one to another, then at his mate.
Koori shrugged slightly. She was still slightly dissoriented from the birthing. "I can't think well right now. Why don't you name some of them first?"
"Okay," Houka said, looking from one to another again. "Do you know what genders they are?"
Koori sighed and concentrated on each BCR in turn. "The only male is the one that takes after me the most," she reported before closing her eyes again. "You can go ahead and name the three of your choice."
Houka nodded in reply, thinking deeply. "I'll name the light blue one... Enzo. The red and grey one... Ezra. And the purple one is Eden!"
Koori opened her eyes with a smile. "They are happy with their new names," she said. "Now it's my turn. Hmm... I like the names Elysia and Eponine. Elysia is the red and blue one and Eponine is the red and white striped one. It seems they all like their names."
Houka smiled down at his recently expanded family. He lay down, facing Koori, with their BCRs in between them. The blizzard didn't matter much to them at the moment.

Sachio laid toward the front of the cave, watching the snow falling softly. The blizzard wasn't too bad just yet, but who knew how bad it would get. He just hoped that everyone that wasn't accounted for just yet was somewhere safe, and not alone.
Lysi was tucked away somewhere in the back, trying to find as much warmth as she could. She loved being with this tribe, but she coat was still building up in thickness.

"It amazes me to see that, right after they come out of their BCRs, they can run around so much," Houka said, panting slightly. He had been chasing them around the caves for some time now, making sure they didn't get hurt.
Koori laughed at her mate's tactics. "When I said watch them, I didn't mean that you had to run around with them," she said. She looked just in time to see two of her kits trying to sneak off into one of the side caves. "Enzo, Ezra! You know the rules, if we can't see you, go somewhere else!" She turned back to Houka with a slight smile on her face. "See, you don't have to follow them."
Ezra sighed. "It's not fair. Why can't we explore the rest of the caves?" She asked her brother and sisters rhetorically. Since exploring was currently out of the question, the five kits decided that, most likely, sitting in a circle and talking was the most fun their parents would let them have. They couldn't go outside due to the storm, they couldn't run around as they might disturb someone, and they couldn't go into the less crowded caves because they're parents couldn't see them there. "Why can't they just explore with us?"
"Dad has been chasing us around everywhere, Ezra," Eponine pointed out. "He is probably worn out."
