Hello, my name is Ethan and I have been playing Pokemon (albeit casually)
since before Gen 2. Games that I currently own are Emerald, Diamond, and X (and a few N64 games as well). I used to own Yellow, but I somehow lost my copy years ago due to unknown reasons.
One of my main reasons for joining is so I can be a bit more active in the PKMN community since I used to never take it super seriously until a few months ago. sweatdrop
But nevertheless, being here will hopefully remedy all that for me.

We've sure got a lot of newcomers. I think we should maybe host a tournament soon if anyone's interested. I'd really like to carve into a few unlucky souls myself. Thoughts? Run a reliable physical wall like Hippowdon, Skarmory, Bronzong, Gliscor or Weezing. Durants all drop fast to Special Attacks. Ghosts now hit them neutrally. And of course the obvious Fire Type move if you can manage it. Just run a Pokemon that can outspeed and KO it or wall it and force it out.

On the bright side I do have a Pokemon on my roster that can make quick work of it if I ever encounter one again.

Look at the top 10-20 Pokemon and see if your team has an answer to them. If not, re-consider your line-up. You have to enter your sets or select from pre-existing sets then click the Mega Charizard pic to see what hits your team hard or what walls your team easily. For me, I see the Banded Staraptor at the top, but I have Pokemon that can outspeed and OHKO it so it's not a huge problem. Plus, he isn't the common anyway. Defensively I see Mega Aggron who has no reliable recovery and most every Pokemon on my team can wear it down so it's not a huge deal either. Sometimes your opponent just already KO'd your answer to their threat. That is inevitable and often the source of winning the battle. A big part of Pokemon is knowing what to keep alive on your team. Of course, it's not often people see Durant as a huge threat, so I can see why you wouldn't see it as public enemy #1. Try to keep track of what your opponent has left and plan accordingly. I beat a tough opponent today by ensuring my key counters stayed alive long enough. Like, my Specs Hydreigon's Dark Pulse since he was really conservative with his Aegislash. Reading the flow of battle will come with experience.

Shadow here. I own a lot of Pokémon games... not sure which I don't have anymore. Possibly on the N64 games (not for lack of trying haha).
I'm a Dark/Dragon/Water trainer though I love Charizard and usually have a mix of all types.
I do have Pokémon created on the AR but I don't use them for battling or trading. I use them for breeding and/or just to fill my Pokedex so on the off chance that I actually trade with someone or battle, I don't use them, I don't cheat. But the cautious do not live at all.

I joined this guild because I thought it would be fun to be apart of a guild that discusses something i enjoyed watching and playing growing up.
I haven't played pokemon for a while (since DP released) until i recently decided to purchase a 3ds for the sake of trying out the XY versions (I own Y).
So far, I'm liking it; and with the features in the game now making it easier to trade and battle with just about anyone,
i'm even having thoughts of battling with others sometime if I ever get the hang of competitive battling and everything that comes along with it (EV training, what movesets are the best, etc) sweatdrop
Anyway, hope to meet some folks here and learn a thing or two to experience the game in a way i haven't before!

Been playing since I was a kid so i just kinda decided that more fun to play with people, so this guild actually got me to start using gaia again
I hope to make alot of friends and umm oh yeah my favorite pokemon is Typhlosion.

Yo, my name is PandaPlunge. I really have always been a fan of the pokemon games. I thought it would be great to join since I would like the opportunity to try and gain all the best pokemon I can and learn how to breed better. On a positive note, I breed a shiny eevee last night for Pokemon Y. It's now my pride and joy :3

As you all should know, my name is Zett from the Kanto region. . .However, due to some difficulties, I now currently live in the Unova Region. Where everyday life became a complete mystery. . .A complete overhaul of priorities, training, and new Pokemon that have now earned me my Unova Certificate. . .Although it was a Silver award, I'm pretty sure that one day the National Pokedex will be complete. . .That is, until the services in both Sinnoh and Unova are being shut down. . .Such sad news. . .Seeing any other Pokemon from any other regions is a rare sight these days crying
Anyways. I hope everyone within this guild are positive and upbeat. . .I sure would hate to run across a Demi Downer!! eek

Hey everyone. It's nice to meet other people who enjoy Pokemon. I've been a fan of Pokemon since they first came out. I remember having my first Pokemon card battle and then playing the games on N64 and my gameboy. I am currently playing X, trying to get shiny Pokemon to replace the ones I am using. I had a lot of fun playing Sapphire, I look forward to the remake they are working.
