Just don't be too rough on the cute li'l ball, kids, or you'll have to take it to a private court.

seeing as how Kaporie's got at least as much education as I do, I see no reason why he can't make himself more clear.

I know plenty of people with far more education than I've had who write far worse. Some of them are English majors.

TuffGhost
except that you don't end a sentence with a preposition, thank you, Crafty

Actually, that's not really so much a rule as a suggestion. My favorite retort to someone telling me that I can't end my sentences in a preposition is, "That is something up with which I will not put!"

Grammar is more of a convention than a logical system of rules.

TuffGhost
He thinks you're his friend.

You'll notice I defend him a lot. I joke around about him (which I think he notices more than even I'm aware sometimes), but I genuinely like him as a person.

Kapo is the quintessential Adam in the Garden of Eden. Naked and vapid, but noble and true. I sometimes wonder whether it would be worth it to lose all of my intellect so that I could be only half as noble as he.

So, if he thinks I'm his friend, then I'm proud to affirm his belief.

First of all Conventina it's very nice to meet you, I'm sorry I didn't get to know you before.

Also, JoVo and Tuff, you guys need to chill, seriously. This whole grammar thing seems to cause a lot of tension. I mean I understand the courtesy of spelling and what not, and we know you both have an extensive vocabulary. I also realize that Kapo has a very interesting and sometimes hard to read style of typing. Argue with me if you like, but stretching these grammar rules to this extent seems a bit ridiculous and just creates conflict that no one needs. heart

It's not just about social convention. Using decent English is officially in the rules.

Thank you SeraphiceAngel. Tis nice to meet you. (and i was pretty sure i met you.. sweatdrop )

First of all, i would've thought by the time i came back that all of this grammar nonsense would be over with. How can you not be bored with having the same conversation over and over again guys? whee

This goes so far back in this guild..SeraphiceAngel you wont be able to break it. Believe me..so many have tried its pointless and just fighting with them is RIDICULOUS. heart

So? That doesn't make it okay.

If you said that to me, I would have to ask you to repeat it. Generally speaking, the purpose of language (at least in a conversational setting) is to express yourself clearly and make your point understood.

Dude, that sounds like rationalized bullshit to me. Can you honestly say that you think he knows what you're saying about him? If so, why do you make such a concerted effort to use elaborate (even moreso than usual) words and sentence structure? I only barely understand the things you say about him and that's only because I look up everything but the article adjectives.

I took your criticisms as graciously as I take anything.
