What do you guys think is happening? Ah. I saw a rough translation soo... Fai is thinking back to when he first found out Ashura was nuts. We learned in the previous chapter that Ashura went crazy and started killing everyone and so it was up to Fai to stop him. Ashura says he has to be killed to be stopped, but Fai is still so attached to him that he decides to put him to sleep instead with his brother, to be guarded by Chii. Ashura tells him before he falls asleep that he wont sleep forever, and so when he wakes up, Fai will have to kill him. This is why Fai runs away and wishes never to go back -- if Ashura wakes up and he finds Fai, Fai'll be forced to kill him. Back to the present time, once again Fai is faced with killing Ashura but he really doesn't want to. Ashura goes about trying to convince him by pulling Sakura's body out of the pool and going to hurt her. Kurogane and Syaoran try and stop him and wind up getting frozen in their places. Then Ashura attacks them, and it looks like he sent a sharp dagger of ice straight into Kurogane's chest. ;o; Kuro-woof! We better get some rockin' fanservice next chapter!

Hm, as far as I'm seeing, I don't think anything serious has happened to Kurogane, besides that wound. Although that would've been sadly interesting at this point in the series.

Well, think of it this way: if Kurogane dies, Fai dies with him, since he needs Kuro's blood to sustain his life. And if Fai AND Kurogane dies, think how many readers they'd loose and where would the series go from there? ^_^; I think either A: Fai's going to use healing magic (even though he couldn't at an earlier time. He was just never pushed to do it), B: Syaoran will or C: (which is almost entirely impossible) maybe Ashura conjured up an illusion to make it seem that Kurogane was killed to push Fai to kill him even more. I mean, that was pretty big, what hit Kuro, so I personally don't think he'd survive on his own. But hey, I could be totally wrong...

I have no idea what's going to happen but I do believe that Kurogane has to live because if he doesn't Fay will STARVE to death.... I'm still debating if Clamp would be that cruel. Then again.... we've already seen how cruel they can be....

You guys need to realize something, though. While we, the readers, may think of it as cruel, CLAMP might not. In CLAMP's mind, it'd be better for both Kurogane and Fai to die because then they can be together in death. If Fai died, and Kurogane lived, Kurogane would be miserable. If Kurogane died, and Fai lived, Fai would be miserable. In the long run, the whole vampire thing might very well be CLAMP's clever way to kill both of them off so that they'll be together in death. Taishuketen (I know I probably spelled that wrong. WHY THEY ALL HAVE COMPLICATED NAMES) from RG Veda said that it was worse to live on without your most important person, so it's kinder to kill both of you, and CLAMP thinks of that as a less cliche happy ending. So they ever well may pull that on us.
I don't think they will, though, just because killing Fai would make the entire Celes arc seem pointless. I really think the entire arc was leading up to this moment, where Fai must choose his past over his present, face his demons, and learn to move on. Hopefully he'll manage. I have faith that he will. heart

Hey I don't know where to post this but I have a theory about whats going on with R!Syaoran. Remeber the window incident in xxxHolic? Yuko told Watanuki that his life was saved thanks to the prices paid by Himawari, Domeki and R!Syaoran. Himawari took his scars on to her own body, Domeki gave up blood equal to the amount Watanuki lost. It never told us what R!Syaoran gave up but it might have something to do with the problems he's having in Celes right now.

Fai CANT die, untill he kills Ashura. he said it before (not Exact wording).
anyway, what is it with CLAMP and someone loosing an eye. Fai AND Watanuki both got the short-end-of-the-stick there (although im not complaining, Fai looks super duper heart (Obsessed Fangirl Syndrome) with that eyepatch 3nodding )
