*glomps High-Hat* Welcome baaaaaaaack!
crying I feel so bad for not having been around like, at ALL recently. My Japanese class starts tomorrow (twice a week from 7-10 PM) and school starts in less than a week for me, so my free time has just gone...
POOF.
Into some firey hellpit...ooh, speaking of hellpits, I made a sort of Freudian-ish slip today:
Mom: So, you'll just come in and sit in on my class if anything goes wrong.
Me: Yeah, ok, but I still hope nothing goes wrong. I really want to get into hell!
><; I can't remember what I meant to say in place of 'hell'...ah well. I also found a number of good books at the library today. One being,
"Torn Wings and Faux Pas: A flashbook of style, a beastly guide through the writer's labyrinth" by Karen Elizabeth Gordon. It's a weird sort of dictionary.
Here's one of the entries:
"immanent/imminent: *
Imminent means about to happen, coming soon. You'll probably have less use for the word
immanent, unless you're living in a pantheistic or Rococo dream. It means inherent, indwelling, inhabiting, remaining within, and is often applied to spiritual matters."
She uses fantastical beasts in her example sentences to prove points, which is something that keeps me reading. ^o^ Do check it out if you have the chance.
