Tristen stared in confusion for just a brief second. The last guy out of Team Star wasn’t found and his parents and academy are keeping it silent? Reno and Sol didn’t mention anything about that. Did they even know? Mela, Atticus, and Eri though still on medical lock down, however. If anyone he’d imagine that still would be out of it, it probably would have been Atticus, if not for the mushrooms, then the massive shock treatment that he got when he ended up fighting the Manetric hybrid, never mind the resulting chi machine explosion. It left Tristen to wonder just how long were they stuck under the mushroom influence; probably long enough to give them the courage to go fight the likes of Team Snagem as they were. The Giacomo guy, however, is still a slight point in contention for him…still remembering how Penny was pertaining to him. It was a something that nagged at him; why in the world did she give any level of a care about Team Star, let alone one of their leaders. Must have been something. Matteo was part of them at one time too, apparently. Nothing that he’d try to pry into unless he had to. All the same, he almost wondered why he hadn’t found himself in any class with Giacomo, now that he thought about it.

When Matteo finally finished the second bag, Tristen took it when Matteo handed it over and took a look over. It was just as good as the first one. Matteo actually had a knack for this, which astounded him. He didn’t think someone like this hybrid who tried to come off tough and cool would take up something such as sewing and crafts like this. It was almost as if he enjoyed this; no one would have put this much effort, never mind was capable of doing that in so little time. It was crazy. “Sure, Im good with the nicer one going to Mr. Sanguaro.” Tristen spoke up. He then looked over towards the clock himself when Matteo brought up the clock too and it astounded how much time did in fact fly. That story of Shadow Pokémon apparently took up a lot of the time; he didn’t even think it took up that much of time. It only got Tristen to realize that even though he only scratched the surface in Team Snagem’s endeavors against the likes of Ein and Shadow Pokémon, just doing so took a bit. “…time flies is right.”

"The second one it is. Like my mom says, you always throw out the first pancake." He chuckled to himself, taking the bag and pushing it to the corner of the counter so that when Mr. Sanguaro came by it was within reach. It was funny, Matteo seemed so much more calmer and happy when he was sewing. Was it the sewing that brought this side out in him or was it simply giving him something to focus on, something that he actually enjoyed. He definitely was seeming to the kind of person that needed something to focus on in order to stay out of trouble.

With their work done Matteo sat down with a sigh and kicked back, giving Mr. Sanguaro a wave as they locked eyes, asking him to come over only him to get a index finger in the air in response, the universal signal for 'one minute'. With the teacher taking some time to make it over here, the man working with other students at the moment, Matteo decided to make more conversation. "So...Team Snagem recruiting?" Matteo said with a wide smile, devilish almost. He wouldn't allow Tristen to answer just yet, quickly cutting off the boy before he could response. "Of course I'm just kidding. I'm much too busy with schoolwork to save the world." He chuckled, his laughing half-hearted and quickly fading away. He was no kidding with that question. "Ahem...yeah. How long do you plan on hanging around this place anyways?"

After Tristen responded to Matteo Mr. Sanguaro would finally come over and immediately pick the bag off the table, giving it the once over as he pulled and pushed on it to test the stitches and then checked out the zipper. Satisfied with the construction he nodded approvingly in silence and sat the bag back on the table before sliding back towards them. "Good work boys, you both helped with this?" He asked, immediately looking towards Matteo, as if he was leery that Matteo helped.

"Pfft, of course I helped Tristen out. I'm not a complete jerk." Matteo scoffed, his response that exactly endearing himself to the teacher. Why did it seem like Matteo was diminishing his work and giving Tristen so much credit? Was he ashamed of his sewing prowess?

The man said nothing about Matteo's comment and simply declared. "A plus for both of you. Keep up the good work, boys." He said, tapping on the counter before walking off. Matteo said nothing as he played with the zipper on one of the bags.

Tristen raised a brow when Matteo started to ask if Team Snagem was recruiting, only for him to retract that question under the excuse of jest. Part of him didn’t believe that there was any ‘kidding’ to it. He noticed at the very least where Matteo was enthralled in about anything that he said about his time with the team. Like telling him about the shadow Pokémon story or even how he and Dragonite met. Matteo had made it no secret that he was jealous of Tristen, and probably harbors that jealousy still, albeit managed to keep it…restrained, for lack of a better term. Kept it under wraps and instead of out in the open in public. If Matteo didn’t understand why Tristen would have been craving for the likes of boring, Tristen was almost the exact opposite. In spite of the adventure, the places he’s seen, the strength and power he worked hard to build, all he had was effectively the ‘family’ that was Team Snagem, which each last one of those lives could have been gone in an instant. In fact, half of them nearly was, no thanks to Ein. Tristen severely doubted Matteo could grasp just how it would affect someone who practically lived in that constantly. Matteo had the peace and generally the capabilities of having at bare minimum a social life. Where a Pokémon battle wasn’t with lives on the line. While Tristen had grew to be numb to it a decent bit, Matteo had no such conditioning. He was better off waiting until he got older, just as Tristen figured he should have now that he was here in this academy. It left Tristen to just then question if he regretted getting his adoptive father to train him and put him within the Snagem ranks, if only for the sake of wanting to be a help and be able to see the world those years ago that was explicitly hidden from him by those who had him before. To repay the kindness that was given to him those years ago even though he was explicitly told he didn’t have to. Probably a little bit.

When Mr. Sanguaro finally came over to make his assessment of the bags that were made. Tristen noticed that Matteo’s history was creeping back, one of those things that probably any other day if Tristen weren’t around would have left him high and dry. “Its true, Mr. Sanguaro. If anything, he helped me a lot since I wasn’t around the past couple of weeks.” Tristen concurred with Matteo. It was only right, after all. Either way, however, it seemed an A was in order. Another job well done. When Mr. Sanguaro walked off, Tristen looked over towards Matteo as he messed around with the zipper. “You are good at this…thanks for teaching me how to work the machine.” He said to the Growlithe hybrid.

Matteo would remain in his slouched and arms folded 'cool' position in his chair as he watched Mr. Sanguaro walk off, not immediately responding to Tristen as he kept an eye on the teacher for whatever reason. Once he was satisfied with the man's distance he sat up and straight again, letting out a sigh before finally responding to Tristen. "Hm? Oh uh...don't worry about it, it was nothing." Matteo said, dismissing Tristen's thanks. "Could you uh...not tell anyone about all this though? Not that I'm embarrassed or anything, I just don't want to get hounded with people wanting my help in home ec or wanting me to make them something...you know?" He asked of Tristen, his tone not very sincere. It would no doubt be clear to Tristen that despite what he said Matteo was indeed embarrassed over his talents.

They would have a few more minutes to speed before Mr. Sanguaro announced that they only had a a handful of minutes left of class and they needed to clean up their stations and put everything away. With that said Matteo would get up and with Tristen's help would get everything cleaned up to leave their area as they found it. Once they were done they had another two or three minutes to get their selves together before the bell ran, indicating the end of class. With that Matteo got up and slung his bag over his shoulder before turning to Tristen.

"See you at lunch..." He said, looking like he wanted to say more as he hung around in silence, no doubt to make sure Tristen wouldn't tell the others at lunch but stopped himself from doing so. Finding the motivation in himself Matteo would turn and walk off, sticking his tongue out at Gloria as he left the room. The girl replied in kind as she stood up to leave herself. In that moment Tristen might put something together, that despite how much Matteo didn't want others to know about his sewing talents he evidentially wasn't worried about his greatest antagonist, Gloria knowing. Strange.

Tristen couldn’t help but to tilt his head out of confusion when Matteo brought up that he didn’t want his talents brought up to everyone else. It seemed contradictory; he made it a point to just be better than most anyone well before Tristen even showed up at this academy. Why was mere sowing a point in contention? “Uh…yea, sure.” Tristen said, sincere in his reply, though it was going to make Tristen rack his mind over this. Was this one of those things that he missed out on to be able to understand? Who knows?

Tristen would help out getting the station cleaned up and ready for the next class after them and it wasn’t long after that until the bell rang. Tristen started to put away his own things at that point, giving a nod to Matteo that he would be seeing him at lunch. But as he was about to get up himself, the super brief exchange between Matteo and Gloria on the way out didn’t escape his notice. He would stash the bag as well that Matteo made, making sure that nothing happens to that either in any capacity then got up and made his way off for lunch.

Making his way out the door and starting down the halls, Tristen marked off in the back of his mind the half-way point in his day, though he had to admit he was leery about the moment he gets into the lunchroom. Having not seeing Fela since yesterday afternoon, he wondered if everything remained alright between Vivillion and her. It nagged at him since then if he should have left Vivillion in her care last night on her request, but he wanted to have faith that she would do the right thing. Hopefully his faith wasn’t misplaced.

Making his way out the door and starting down the halls, Tristen marked off in the back of his mind the half-way point in his day, though he had to admit he was leery about the moment he gets into the lunchroom. It nagged at him since then if he should have left Vivillion in her care last night on her request, but he wanted to have faith that she would do the right thing. Hopefully his faith wasn’t misplaced.

Like every other school day Tristen would make it to the lunchroom, get in line, and eventually make his way up to Ms. Picante where he would give the lady his sandwich order for the day. After receiving the sandwich he would be given the usual 'have a good day' and would be seen off to pick his drink and chips before being released back into the general populace to find a place to sit. For Tristen he always sat at the same time with the same group of people so it didn't take him long to zone in on where he was going.

Upon making it to the table he would be greeted by his friends which included the twins, Penny, Nemona, and Florian. Matteo would show up a little later after Tristen but one person was missing; Fela. That wasn't a good sign in the least.

After settling down Nemona would speak to Tristen first. "Hey Tristen! What are you doing this weekend!?" Nemona almost shouted at the boy. Tristen no doubt had a good idea where this was going.

Penny rolled her eyes at Nemona and let out a sigh. "Really? Already? He just sat down..." Penny said with a groan. The twins would giggle as they too knew where this was going meanwhile Florian kind of sunk in his chair, as to hide from Nemona once Tristen turned her down she would no doubt laser in on him next. Matteo just glanced to Tristen and took a bite of his sandwich.

Once Tristen responded Penny would give him a strange look before finally saying something. "Something wrong?" She asked the boy, registering his own noting of Fela's lack of appearance.

Tristen found his way into the lunch room and waited in line as he did for his sandwich for lunch; typical deal, nothing to write home about. Though it was nice seeing Ms. Picante again. Not wanting to keep her, he’d go on ahead with his order and make his way off to get his drink and chips and find his way back to the table where he usually met with everyone. Though as he walked over, he started to realize something. Usually he was one of the last ones here. But then…no Fela. Tristen would sit down with his sandwich, only to be greeted with Nemona’s question. Her once again fishing for a Pokémon battle. Well, at least some things doesn’t change. This girl is relentless. Tristen glanced over towards Matteo as well. Does he bring up going off somewhere with Matteo? Would Nemona find that as an invitation to try to come with them? He really didn’t know how to play this… “Well, I…am still trying to get that together.” Tristen said. “I got something in mind already that might be an all day thing, still trying to work out what day, but I got the other day of the weekend to figure out.” He said, not putting really any emphasis that he and Matteo already had plans. If he knew Matteo, he wouldn’t want it public to much of anyone, even his own friends that he made an invitation to go train Pokémon.

Though as Tristen explained that, he was distracted, more so trying to pay attention to the door because Tristen found something odd in this whole situation. Something Penny was quick to catch up on. “Uhhh, yeaaahhh…has…anyone heard from Fela since yesterday? I saw her yesterday afternoon before I went off to meet with Mr. Salvatore right after homeroom yesterday and she wasn’t…the greatest. She was upset with more than likely having to part ways with Vivillion. I tried to tell her everything was going to be okay, but I been having the nagging feeling that she might not have believed that fully. Ooooh, I hope she isn’t doing anything to mess things up for Vivillion later…”
PostPosted: Sat Apr 05, 2025 3:39 pm

"Fela?" Penny repeated, looking to Nemona who shook her head and then to Florian who also shook her head.

"Nope." Matteo plainly stated before taking a bite of his sandwich, he didn't seem to pressed.

"Is Fela sick?" E. asked, the young mind immediately going to something more severe.

"Oh no! She needs medicine!" B. chimed in, immediately latching onto E.'s wild jump. Matteo would grunt and go about telling them not to jump into conclusions, acting as a stand in for Fela in this moment as it is usually her that reigns them in during these kind of situations.

With the boys being handled Penny turned her focus back on Tristen. "You don't think- oh, there she is." The girl started to say before watching the door open on the far end of the room and Fela walked in, making her way to the lunch line. While Fela was out of earshot Penny spoke to Tristen again. "You don't think she really did something...silly...do you?"

Tristen sweatdropped at B and E’s escalation of assessing the situation, which how on earth did they even jump to that conclusion. This was about a Vivillion, not because she was sick. Tristen wondered if he was ever like that and he honestly couldn’t recall. He didn’t think so. Penny would then get his attention when Fela finally found her way in, which…honestly was weird for her. She was usually prompt in most anything. Probably one of the first ones to even make it to the lunch room, let alone to any class. When Penny asked, he silently sighed. “I certainly hope not…” he said to Penny as he watched Fela make her way to the lunch line. He certainly was going to make it a note to ask about Vivillion as soon as she sat down. Maybe he could work it in a little naturally…it’s a little underhanded, but honestly? Better than asking point blank the second she sat down. At least there’d be a conversation already going about it.

“So, speaking of, what about you two? How is yours and Camp’s project?” he asked. “Any more progress on getting your Spewpa to a Vivillion?”
PostPosted: Sat Apr 05, 2025 5:43 pm

"Ours has been going good. Thanks to Camp we evolved it all the way into a Vivillon. In fact, I was kind of surprised how quick he did that...it took us way longer to get it to evolve into a Spewpa when we worked together but he kept it for a single day and evolved it to Vivillon. How did you do that any ways?" Penny explained to Tristen before turning her focus to Camp, questioning his noteworthy Pokemon training skills.

"I'm a Bug Catcher, it's what I do." Camp said with a smile and saying no more than that before take a big bite of his sandwich. Penny would not push the issue further.

"Hey." Fela said as she finally made it to the table with her tray, setting the tray down before she sat down with a sigh. She wouldn't say much else as she immediately began to eat her sandwich. Penny, Camp, Florian, and Matteo would all give each other looks as well as looks towards Tristen while the twins immediately went about proclaiming their happiness that Fela was well. Fela however didn't react much to them.

“I suppose that comes with the territory when you make it your life to do that. That’s actually a bit amazing. It took at least a few days for ours to go from Scatterbug to Spew-“ Tristen would get cut off just then when Fela made her way around with only merely a ‘Hey’, only to sit down and say nary a word beyond that. Tristen would join the others, giving each other a side eye, most everyone very well aware that something was up. She hardly would give a reaction when B and E started blurting out their relief, which one would have thought that would have brought questions in and of itself. “Uh…Fela? Is…everything okay?” Tristen asked the girl, concerned.

For several seconds it seemed as if Fela either didn't hear Tristen's question or was actively ignoring the boy, the girl just focusing on eat her sandwich and and nothing else, as if she just wanted to get lunch done and over with. Tristen's question however would eventually sink into her mind, the girl slowly raising her head up to look towards Tristen and nodded before going back to her meal. "Yeah, everything's...fine." She said before taking another bite of her sandwich.

Everyone would once again give Fela a look of concerning, trying to silently figure out what was wrong with her, save for the twins who kept going on about her possibly being sick after all as they went about feeling her forehead and such. Fela assured them she was okay.

While the boys carried on over her Fela made a face as if she remembered something she didn't want to and put her sandwich down before pulling her bag over onto her lap. "Oh...that's right, almost forgot..." She said softly, fishing around in her bag for something. Eventually she would materialize a Premier Ball from the bag and hold it up towards Tristen. Looks like she didn't do anything silly after all. "Here. I need you to take this."

Tristen would once again take a quick glance towards everyone else at the table, getting their general reaction and he was pretty much sure at this point that they knew what he knew. She was full of it. She wasn’t doing all too well in hiding it, something is really pressing and he was pretty sure what was on her mind. She would then pull out the Premier Ball and hand it over towards Tristen, staring in confusion for a moment. “Uh, yea, sure.” He said taking back the Premier ball. He took a look at the ball for a second then looked over towards her for a second. He wouldn’t have an opportunity to check on Vivillion until after classes today. “Fela you seem out of it.” Tristen said. “Did something happen last night?”
PostPosted: Sun Apr 06, 2025 2:08 pm

"No..." Fela said as she looked up and shook her head at Tristen, though never looking at him in the eyes. "...and that's the problem..." She muttered the last part to herself before taking a bite, as if to buy herself some more time before she spoke again. By this point the entire table went silent, now completely focused on Fela and the girl was more than intelligent enough to know this, just made all this that much worse.

"I wanted to do it. I wanted to release Vivillon, maybe break its old ball somehow for good measure, and then capture it with my own Pokeball so that it might have my own Trainer ID." Fela admitted as she looked down at her half eating sandwich, deciding that lying just wasn't worth it. "I told my mom about it, what I wanted to do, she talked me out of it. I just...don't want to see Vivillon go." She said, the beginning of tears welling up in her eyes but she quickly wiped them away and fought back any further ones. "But I know that's not my choice, it's just...hard."

Tristen looked over towards the others real quick then back at Fela. A faint sigh came from him. "I know, Fela. It doesn't feel fair at all." Tristen said. "I had a adopted brother, you know. A Vulpix hybrid. He was one of the ones that got me on my feet in the world other than Blizz and Freth. But unlike here with Vivillion, where you know the day is coming, he just...up and left. Not even a word. Not even a word to Blizz or anyone in Snagem. He just...left. Blizz eventually found him, then later found out Sub had a hand in it; kinda really complicated situation, but didn't say anything because of how Blizz tends to be. But it was a decision of something he felt he needed to do, nothing against me or Blizz or anyone, really. When Blizz was up and fighting the bad guys alongside Freth and stuff, he was who I ended up having to go to. And then suddenly...he left. It used to not be all that uncommon. He'd like to go exploring in a lot of places. Even took me out on a trip here and there, even though sometimes the places he went to was fairly scary to me at the time. Might be gone a day or two at a time. But then suddenly two days turned into a week, then several weeks. And with one problem after the next that Snagem had to take care of at the time, we didn't really get any opportunity to go looking and asking questions until around the time we first made ourselves known in Kalos a first years ago."

"It will be hard, Fela, I get it. But there's a point where you have to let go. Like I tried telling you yesterday afternoon, it will be fine. But you have to let it be. Miss Vivillion, sure, but I'm pretty certain that Vivillion isn't going to want you like this all the time just because its gone to live its life." Tristen said to her.
