Finn hustled out to the pitch, as he was excited for his first ever Quidditch match at school, representing his House. The game was kinda in his blood, if one figured Mom was the longtime Seeker for the Irish National Team, along with Aunt Hannah, who was a Beater for the same team, until they both stepped away from the pitch. Before that, of course, they represented their respective Houses, and now it was his turn. He was thrilled to make the Lions squad, and he’d be between the pipes today, hoping to keep the Quaffles out.
Already out there was a contingent of Lions, including his fellow Young Lion, Adi, who needed a frame to keep him mounted upon his broomstick. Looking up in the stands, he knew Linsey would be up there to root the team on. She’d promised to try to get Ella to come with her to the match, especially since it was her own House, Hufflepuff, they would be playing against, though there were no guarantees it would happen. Taking the field, Finn met up with his teammates, and began his stretching exercises. He had a good feeling about today’s match, and no matter what he planned to have fun and enjoy the moment.

 But the stars don't shine, they burn
The constellations glow
The seasons change in turn
 Charlotte could feel a slight shake in her hands as she came to the pitch. Somehow she'd become the seeker. Yes, she said she wanted to play seeker, but she hadn't thought it would happen. It was a touch nerve-racking. Especially coming on Nora's heels. She bit at her bottom lip and took a deep breath. The best she could do was...well, her best. She grabbed a tight hold of her broom and did what she could to ready herself for the match.

What's impossible, well they forgot
This world keeps spinning

I can feel a change in everything
 Noah was excited for the first match of the season, especially with Charlotte becoming first string and seeker. He was a proud older brother. Plus he was always glad to get back up in the air. He gave his sister a pat on her shoulder with a bright smile.

 Persephone was a whole mix of feelings. She was crazy excited. Also crazy terrified. The idea of being a beater had been cool but now the idea of her, a petite eleven-year-old girl, with a beater bat trying to fight back a quaffle felt almost silly. She was going to make it work.

It was cold, but the sun was out and fighting to keep the pitch warm...ish. Xiang stepped onto the pitch, a warm hat on her head as an addition to her normal gear. Once everyone was on the grass, she gestured them skyward. "Good morning, little doves! Today we've got Gryffindor and Hufflepuff preparing to head up. As always, I want a nice, clean match. No cheating, magic, or illegal moves. I'm watching! But let's get in formation."
She grinned happily, making sure everyone was set. She released the bludgers first like always, followed by the snitch. After that, she took the quaffle in hand and went back to the center. "Captains ready? Good! Chasers ready? Here we go!" Xiang chirped as she tossed the ball up dead center before backing up quickly to watch the game unfold.
