Well cross ma'ears- did'ja just say I was good at somethin'? Ya complimentin' me, West? Levi tilted her head, peering through West's mask. Her cheeks might have turned a different color which the ghoul just couldn't seem to control. Trying to make her words snarky was all Levi could do to have it sound like she was at least being her usual self but- it was not without faults. The tatzel ghoul looked down towards the floor at their feet as well while speaking, rising back up when West mentioned idiocy in relation. Dancin' don't make'ya an idiot. The only thing Levi couldn't defend about dancing was whether or not it made a ghoul appear weak. This was a point she'd fought back home and why she'd learned to dance/continued practicing in secret with her family. She often danced along with her Pa. Perhaps simply not in her current tiny form. Think we'd be dancin'on this long if we were weak, boil? Takes muscles, speed n' endurance. It was partly reassuring herself; asking a strong fighter like West to dance was hard to do let alone having him compliment her on her ability to do so. Just means yer'able ta go on longer on yer'feet. Now if I can just get'ya ta' quit lookin' at 'em, kekeke. The tatzel might've needed more punch- or perhaps some of that meat they had last year. The scarflies that had been fluttering around in her gut now demanded audibly (thank Jack for the cover of the music) that they required sustenance. Wanna maybe head-on over ta'tha meat- err, food? Maybe a lil' splash'a somethin'? Levi took just a couple of steps away, indicating she meant an exit off the dance floor in the direction of the refreshments table. Haven't had a peck'a anythin' tanight 'kept that punch. West was a growing boil too; he surely needed to eat something. A sudden random question appeared in her head: Just how big did wrath demon's get? She pondered in silence, staring at West.

Lizzy might prefer friendship, but Amarus actually preferred enemies. Since she kept being told it was unacceptable to fight your friends, sadly. It was a difficult concept for her to grasp. In fact, she had been particularly at home on War, whereas on Conquest everything had been one disaster after another unless animals were involved. Apparently she did okay with those. "Sworn enemies sounds exciting," she attempted to correct Lizzy. Yeah, for a while Amarus had really been on board with what the ghoul was saying, but it seemed like suddenly that had taken a radical turn.
Though it was true, she did love to dance. Amarus, unruffled by the suggestion, was about to say something else to Lizzy about how dancing of most kinds still eluded her, however, and she was not certain they would make for a good team given Tseng might be worried about the whole toxins thing and also he was still covered in glitter and was that contagious? Because he seemed to think it was--
"Who said anything about rivals?" She asked the clansman, narrowing her eyes as the corner of her mouth curled up. Oh, it was gametime now.

CHALLENGE. ACCEPTED. She did that only not backwards.
Amarus bowed deeply to her new friends, paused staring at Lizzy far longer than, again, was socially acceptable. And hugged the pink-haired ghoul awkwardly before stepping away towards Tseng and his fighting dance. Oh my Jack, that was exactly what she had done the first time she had tried to dance. And was promptly told it was not a good idea. "Excuse me, new friends, I must defend my honour."
Following that, she gave Tseng her full attention, and returned to the battle with elegance:

At this point, the train of her dress, which was made of some kind of scales, looked more like a weapon than fashion, and it was extremely obvious she was still barefoot after she had hurled her shoes into the dance earlier. And now it was showtime.
Amarus was suddenly acutely aware, as she went to execute her amazing moves, that this wasn't a fight, she had just accepted a challenge to DANCE when she had only learned earlier that night. In her head, she was just thinking No big deal, I can do this, I can...

Stand there awkwardly and then fall over. RETREAT RETREAT RETREAT.

"Y-You're just biased," Lizzy muttered at Mac, removing her hands from her face, and lowering them as she pouted; honestly, she was rather disappointed too. She had been looking forward to dancing to that song again, especially since it brought back some of the most unforgettable memories she had ever made in this school, "Something that came before...?"
She frowned, tilting her head as she was pursed her lips in thought, once again lost in her own little flashback world.
"... Oh..." If anyone thought that she couldn't turn any redder, she just proved them wrong. She managed to squeeze in one last hug for Tess before taking Mac's hand; she would have hugged Amarus too, but she seemed busy with her little... Dance... Thing with Tseng, although Lizzy was glad that she seemed to be having fun, "Ah, uh, yes... Please excuse us...! And I hope you have an enjoyable time!" It was said loud enough for the students 'dance battling' to hear, before she slipped away with her boilfriend.

" I'm sorry to upset you; I didn't want to", the alchemist apologized to her date, after everyone left them alone. " If you still feel like it, may be we can dance again?". Eisheth drank her punch slowly. She would love to cheer up Mei, who seemed to frown after their conversation, but seriously, she just couldn't get why the ghoul was so upset about some low life form.

Kiwi hurried through the crowd, scanning for any sign of Willow in her lavender dress. It wasn't easy to run through such a crowded place he was finding out, especially when he was forced to keep his wings so close to his side. He at last escaped free of the throng in time to see Willow, walking outside with a purple-haired Halloween boil he didn't recognize. The horseman hurried forward.
"Willow!!" he called as he came up beside her. "I'm sorry things became so crowded, I wasn't expecting everyone to ... I-I wanted make sure you were alright ... after that gnome incident, I thought maybe ..." He wasn't really sure what he was saying. It felt somehow awkward trying to speak with her, with a Halloween boil around. She was a Halloween student herself after all, and they were probably close ... not to mention he felt somehow responsible for not staying close enough to her for the night. It was his duty after all. He straightened up a bit, managing to keep his outward appearance intact, despite his inward mixed feelings. "I'm terribly sorry I ignored you, I shouldn't have. And ... who is your friend??"LP I think he might be a little jealous of Roch X'D

Tseng paused with his moves as Amarus made an impressive entrance to this dance battle. Oh this should be good. While he waited, he continued to move to keep on his toes. As he did he grinned, but soon just stared as Amarus apparently was having a moment. What was wrong? He had to wonder. "Alright. My turn! Whirling tornado!"The movements he was making this time around were different compared to what he had been doing prior to Amarus's entry. His speed picked up a bit as he tapped into a different style.

Herryk grumbled again. "All of this repetition makes Herryk think that Freya has not been a good ghoul." He wrapped his arms around her thighs, blue eyes twinkling from behind the strange plastic glasses he wore. "Where did Freya disappear to earlier? Herryk has missed his beloved." Her narrowed his eyes briefly - a reminder that he had not forgotten their previous conversation, and that said conversation would likely come up again. He was nothing if not determined.

"Err..." Sheridan blinked, a brow quirked, a rather quizzical glance shot between Tseng and Amarus. What on earth were either of them talking about? Wait, what the jack just happened? Okay then, he wasn't sure if he wanted to know what that had all been about. Not that he would have had the chance to ask even if he'd wanted to as they were already off doing whatever it was they were doing, whether it was actually dancing or not he could not have said. Then as he turned back toward Lizzy, she too was going off to dance with a boil he only vaguely knew. "Have fun." Well, now it was him and Tess, which...well he had to say he was absolutely fine with that. He turned to her with a smile, offering her both hands as he took a step toward the dance floor. "Shall we dance?"

The reaper was as pleased as punch as the dragon agreed, and she held out her hand to him and waited for him to take it before she’d lead them out to the floor. “ Ha, fair enough! I am not so…proficient one could say at this slow stuff…but we can just sway, right?” She grinned a bit. “ Thank you for humoring me, friend.”

Jericho nodded as he tossed out his cup so that they could head on to the dance floor. He was tensing up now and then as they brushed past various students. "Swaying should work..." he said as his golden eyes warily looked here and there. "Hm? Oh. Right... No problem. Ah... things have been.. well with you lately we take it?" he said as he kind of awkwardly moved to the music.

Once out on the floor, Hel lightly rested her hands on the dragon’s shoulders and did just that, swayed to the music…whatever it was. She didn’t really care. Dancing was dancing. Oh…loaded question Jericho, very loaded…but for the sake of not stressing him out any further, Hel just nodded her head. “ Ya…uh…” The ghoul’s brows furrowed as she struggled to think of a topic that didn’t involve false reapers or battling. “… Ah! Have you looked into mentoring, friend?” There we go. Good topic. “ I have! Hyde is my mentor now, and I have learned how to do something rather uh…interesting already because of him.”

"We have, actually. Nox is our mentor. So far we hadn't really learned much.. yet. But... he'll likely contact us once he has something in mind," Jericho replied. He had been given the task of making up a code, which he had done, but now it was just a matter of waiting for when the next step would be. "Did.. you really take Hyde as a mentor? How did you manage that?"

“ Oh, excellent…!” Nox…she was pretty sure she had heard that name somewhere in passing but it wasn’t really ringing a bell. “ What uh…does he do, exactly?” Best way to learn is to ask, right? Hel was curious after all, what her fellow students were up to in comparison to her own experiences. At his question, her grin widened and she nodded. “I did…I honestly did not care much for him at first, since he ditched me multiple times…and used laughing gas on me…but maybe I can learn how to do that stuff too, ya?” She laughed a bit. “ I managed that through my charismatic personality.” Hel paused. “I was just stubborn, persistent, and violent, basically.”

This seemed to be the best time as any to excuse themselves. All Tess had wanted was to talk to her friend and it seemed their boilfriends had other things in mind. "I would like that," Tess answered, her hand reaching to take Sheridan's before turning to face the two Lizzy introduced them to, "Ah, enjoy yourselves, and watch out for dance-partner-stealers," she jokingly teased before she and her date made their way over to the dance floor.
When they found a spot for themselves and they got into their respective positions, Tess found herself wondering out loud, "How... did you and Lizzy meet?"

Miss out on the fun? Titus doubted it. " I'll take my chances." And with that said he avoided taking anything from the refreshment table all save for one thing. He pulled off his glove to pluck a small piece of fruit from the table. He wasn't particularly sure what it was save for the fact that it was food. Regarding the item for a moment as if trying to find some sort of significance behind it he finally let it rest on top of his thumb and casually flicked it at a nearby student. It couldn't be helped that the particular student had a blind spot and probably never saw it coming. Such was life. " Quite refreshing." Wiping his fingers on the table cloth as if he had just touched a poisonous substance, Titus eased his glove back over his clawed fingers. That was apparently the extent of the use he had for food. Projectiles.
