Luci whined and kept tugging, "Mr. Mishkaaa!" as the sand kicked up and he sputtered, she pointed an accusatory finger at him, "Ha!" she grinned, crossing her arms with a little 'hmph'.
"Eeee!" she squealed when he quickly scooped her up and threw her over his shoulder, "AHAHAH! Nooo!" she wiggled and thrashed, but it was no use, "I'm not a parrot! You have to give me ice cream if you're going to keep me here!" she yelled defiantly.
Liv was hugging her sides with laughter, making a little 'oooh that's bad' face as he got sand in his mouth, "If you want some ice cream we'll have to walk down to the stand."

"Hm," he murmured thoughtfully, placing a hand on his hip, standing tall as if Luci's flails didn't affect him in the least bit, and they didn't as long as her little feet avoided his actual body. "You sure sound like a parrot, squaking like that. Mr. Mishkaaa, Mr. Mishkaaaa," he teased, mimicing her voice, though with a distinctive Russian lilt to it. "I suppose to keep my parrot I can get some ice cream, as long as mother parrot does not mind."
He grinned, taking Liv's mention of the stand as a 'yes' to the ice cream, walking along with Luci still thrown over his shoulder. With each of his steps she bounced a little and he chuckled, his gaze moving down to the smaller form of the girl's mother. "Of course, my treat. Must get ice cream, to remove taste of sand from my mouth... Also, I owe dessert, from February." Of course, he remembered how he had offered to take Liv out to dessert one night, to thank her for the wonderful blind date that had started their friendship.

Luci pouted severely, not liking being teased at all, until he mentioned getting the ice cream, "Ice cream! I'll be your parrot Mr. Mishka~" she smiled and stopped flailing, content that she was getting her wish for the cold, sweet treat fulfilled.
"Oh don't worry about that, it was so long ago now," she waved her hand and smiled up at him as she walked alongside him, "But thank you," she added sincerely.
She had forgotten about his promise, and was surprised that he hadn't, and intended to fulfill it still. She kept looking at him now and again as they walked half way down the beach to the ice cream stand, the smiled never leaving her face. The day was turning out to be such a nice contrast to the one previous, and she had almost forgotten about it entirely. She folded her hands behind her back and turned her head to look at the ocean, people dotted here and there splashing about in the waves. A small breezed kicked up then and blew back her luscious curls, exposing her neck and shoulders. A bit of small bruising at the side of her neck could be seen if anyone looked, from where Tyki's Noah had grabbed her roughly the evening before.
