Severin Novaire

"Literature is complex and one really has to think to understand it."
________________________

Well, late was late and there was nothing to do about it. After all, Severin and Veith were halfway across the entire school grounds from the front and they had to run all the way here from so far away. Severin had to stop multiple times because he often was out of breath, but he was finally here and the monster was already causing quite the commotion.

"Veith..." Severin gasped. "...A moment... give me... a moment... I... I.... I.....I need to catch my breath." Severin leaned over as he tried to catch his breath. He was so tired from the run. It probably was not at all heroic looking or anything, but he didn't care. He wasn't a super hero. He couldn't go running and then appear ready to shout 'Time to meet your maker!' or whatever bullshit heroes shouted after going through an absolutely tiring run.

Severin found Christine and went over to her since she was the only one who wasn't part of the chaos. He moved to her and his voice was lowered so he could speak to her quietly. "Veith, I'll get the circle drawn and you work on your spell. I think there are enough people there to distract them and when we finish, I'll try to find a way to lead the creature here so it can burn." Severin instructed.

He was too out of breath to tell this plan to the others, so he just hoped that they were entertaining enough for his godchild.

Veith was just as out of shape as Professor Novaire. In fact, Veith didn't even know he could make it. He was tempted to lean on his teacher, but he was afraid that they would both topple over. Veith just gave a nod. He welcomed this because he also had to catch his breath from all the running.

After a while of gasping for breath, Professor Novaire started to give Veith instructions. Veith nodded his head. He opened his tome and began to recite the words written in it.

Yes, but this spell would take a while to complete. So he will pretty much be standing and reading and saying gibberish to people so hopefully people would distract the monster.

Angela's day got worse when Abel jumped in front of Ian and blocked her magic. Part of her wanted to run to him and make sure he was okay because the idiot had jumped right between them and she couldn't stand seeing him so badly hurt because of her. But...but he had just jumped in to defend the man who had just hurt her. If she hadn't written Ian off as evil before, the fact that he tried to eat her arm pretty much clinched it. He was definitely one of the evil ones and Abel had just taken a hit for him.

He was that dedicated to them.

It shouldn't be any concern of hers anymore. He had someone else and he'd already told her to stay away from them but it felt like another betrayal to see how far he was willing to go to defend his teammates. Chest burning and back already screaming in protest, Angela tried to rein her magic back in--it resisted the pull, wanting to play some more. There was a new toy still standing right there just waiting to be torn to pieces! But Angela gave it a hard yank and it reluctantly withdrew, coiling back up inside her and closing its eyes. Well, it didn't really have eyes exactly. as much as it felt like a separate beast in the end, it was just a part of her. But regardless, it went back to sleep and she staggered backwards, holding her injured arm. Blood was seeping through her fingers as she took took shelter from the fight behind a nearby tree.

She would just rest here briefly. And if the teacher came back...she would stab him in the face with a pointy stick.

Samael Agnusdei

All men are not created equal. It is my purpose to make them so.

Samael was almost to the infirmary to help out when he heard a shriek from outside the school. Wonderful. Absolutely pleasant. He spun on his heel and ran down the halls for the closest window, peeking out to see some ugly beast terrorizing a poor student. He just couldn't stand for that. The monster treated the poor boy like a toy, rather than an equal. What an arrogant creature.

After taking a moment to watch (and catch his breath from running around the halls so much), he made a detour to the training grounds, searching the shack for a bow and some arrows. He needed to help, and without a weapon, he was useless. After getting what he needed, he went back to the school, feeling like he was getting a week's worth of exercise in a day because of this dumb demonic entity. He finally reached the back of the school, briefly noticing someone possibly injured being dragged away, and a blood trail that led to behind a tree.

At least two people injured, possibly more. Maybe it killed someone. That just meant it definitely had to be stopped. He pulled out an arrow and set it, aiming it at the monster as he called out to get its attention, "HEY! Over here you... you... monster!" He didn't really care about saying something cool, or anything silly like that, but he at least wanted to insult the thing to get its attention. And he kind of failed at that, but it still spun around to see what the noise was anyway.

Seeing him as a danger that wanted to hurt it, Voldemort charged right at him, which startled him quite a bit. He only wanted the creature to look over, not attack him. But, oh well, better him than a student. He took aim and stood his ground, resisting the urge to run for cover. He waited until it was close enough and let go of the arrow, immediately turning tail and running as soon as he saw it hit it right in one of its eyes.

He winced when it screeched and slid to a stop to pull the arrow out, ducking behind the nearest tree and-- ... He paused when he noticed a familiar student behind the tree he was trying to hide behind. "Why are you not at the dorms!?" He couldn't help but shout at her because, really, she wasn't where she was supposed to be and she clearly got herself hurt! He moved to hide behind the next tree over, pulling out another arrow to prepare for another shot. As soon as the creature was subdued, he would help her. But, first and foremost, he needed to keep any other students or staff members from getting hurt.

Angela was a little startled when her impromptu sanctuary was invaded by...ah..Samael. With a bow and arrows. How rustic of him. And of course, like a typical teacher, he started screaming at her. She closed her eyes, still clutching her bleeding arm. Ugh. She was starting to get dizzy.

"Well, let's see. Because it's the middle of the day and students don't normally lurk in the dorms in the middle of the day? Oh, and because when I was on my way to class this morning, that thing over there took the liberty of coshing me on the head and dragging me down to a hidden room under the school and throwing me in the cage along with a lot of other students. And we just managed to free ourselves less than half an hour ago and the moment I got above ground, that monster clawed the hell out of my side and knocked me unconscious and I woke up to a bloody teacher trying to gnaw my damn arm off," Angela said.

"What about you? How's your day going? Care for a spot of tea later on? Perhaps we can chat over scones about how well your plant is doing? Or maybe the finer points of archery during monster battles."

Persephone Mikelovitch

Persephone had been fairly certain that she was going to die. The lock had bounced rather harmlessly off of the creature's (definitely not a Jabberwock) face, and she had braced herself for the impact of its swing... when a man (presumably one of the teachers) saved her by taking the hit himself. Well, mostly saved her. When the creature sent the man flying, his foot grazed her shoulder, knocking her to the ground sideways and back towards the tunnel. She felt the skin on her left arm tear as she tumbled, but she ignored it, as it was most likely not life threatening, and attempted to scramble to her feet as soon as possible. The creature was distracted, yanking an arrow out of its... eye. Shouldn't that have killed it? She cringed. Most creatures (supernatural or not) die when taking an arrow to the eye. That was a fact. She'd seen it on deadliest warrior. She resisted the urge to run and instead grabbed for the nearest weapon she could find, which unfortunately, was the lock sock... again.

Distracted or not, her fellow students would be exiting the tunnels soon. Some of them were injured. Meeting that thing in the dark would be no fun at all, so if it started to retreat this way again... well... she'd... she'd have to figure out something clever to do to distract it.

Since the students were already back to their dorms, thanks to Hana and Silveril.. Colleen find herself running outside the building, looking for students and aid them.. The very least she can do...

Seems like there some sort of a distress over here.. Uncertain where she will go next.. While looking for students, her eyes caught on something.. Eh??? Something flying and... disgusting!! and base from her distance, she would have at least take a good glance on what kind of creature it is.. But hell! It looked like a flying cockroach!! or a fly? whatever!.. She saw a brunette fighting it off with something..

She made her way and caught a tall tan man with a whipsy blonde hair almost running off the field.. Her brows twitched, what a coward! And there was this student risking her life to fight of the monster.. As a teacher she must do something for her students..

"Hey you.... You... uh.. flying cockroach or whatsoever! Stop hurting our students!"Flailing, shut her eyes not to look over the disgusting figure with a long tongue! ewwww! talking about saliva if that thing will just drool and lick someone!.. And to her dismayed, it took notice of her.. Crap!!

The monster lunges towards her, Colleen brought her hand to her pendant... Pen---dant?? Hyaaaahhhh!! She had just remembered that she took it off while retouching back at the girl's bathroom! And for once the young demi-goddess starts to panic and let her hand roam inside her satchel! letting her hand feel for it and since she wasn't that ready to face it.. Colleen crams pulling out everything on hand!
"Powder... Lipstick.. make up------ Kyaaaahhh!"And the lowly creature chased her..

Weird.. She's running into circles! Flailing while in the process of pulling out her stuffs from her sachet, trying her luck to pull out her accesory!..
"Fetid soils! Where is it?!!"

Christine.Tremaine

User Image

Christine was watching the battle with interest when the tearful woman who was obsessed with giving Severin cookies suddenly appeared and started shouting at Voldemort. Well, time stir up some drama. Christine bit the inside of her cheek hard, screwing up her face and forcing tears to start flowing. Leaving Sylth there on the ground, Christine launched herself at Colleen, bolting across the grass and tackling her to the ground. Voldemort lept over the two of them and continued on his rampage, running away from them and toward the other people out on the grass. The two women rolled a short distance away and Christine pinned Colleen to the ground. "Leave him alone!" She shouted, tears streaming down her face.

"He's just a baby, you b***h! Don't you dare hurt my baby! He doesn't know what he's doing wrong and you're all killing him! You're horrible! You horrible woman!"

She drew her hand back and swung it down, intending to backhand Colleen for daring to raise her hand against Christine's precious little Sweetpea.

Samael Agnusdei

All men are not created equal. It is my purpose to make them so.

Samael watched in irritation as a teacher foolishly ran into the middle of the fight with nothing to defend herself. Really? She was just setting a bad example for the students watching, especially when the creature started chasing her around like a cat after a rat. He took aim at the monster, trying to follow it's movements while Angela was spewing out concentrated sarcasm and snide remarks.

He released the arrow, only to have it fly right through the beast's horns and break a window of the school building. "Augh! I can't focus!" He growled as Angela mentioned something about tea? He wasn't paying much attention since he was focusing on stopping the rampaging thing from causing any harm, but there was no way he could help while it was running around like that. So, instead, he turned to the injured student next to him, piecing together what she had said while he was trying to ignore her.

"You've had a bad day, haven't you?" He sighed, setting down the bow and peeking out from behind the tree to make sure the monster was still distracted. Well, that teacher wasn't running around like a chicken with its head cut off, but it looked like it was too busy with the others to find them behind the trees. He moved back over to the tree she was hiding behind, kneeling down so he could get a better look at her injuries. He almost gagged a little since they were kind of deep and bleeding a lot, but he couldn't let himself get queasy or there was no way he could help her at all.

"Look, I'll fix this for you, and you need to run back to the school while that thing is distracted, alright? And tea and scones sounds lovely, but after this thing is tamed and you stop bleeding all over," He told her with a frown, looking at the injuries and feeling reluctant to take them from her. They looked rather painful.

"When I think about it, rules are like people."

███████████████████ ███ ██ █

Sylthfreiyn struggled up. He was not letting them kill his child! After all, what kind of father would be like that! Sylthfreiyn wanted to defend his child until the very end. Although that would be kind of hard to do when he was kind of feeling back pains from the blow. However, he dashed in front of his son and yelled with all the might he could. For his child. He was rusty. Yelling was not a part of Sylthfreiyn and it did not suit him. His voice faltered from the strain because Sylthfreiyn rarely ever raised his voice. "Everyone! Stop attacking him! He's only defending himself!" Sylthfreiyn shouted.

It just will take a while for Voldemort to calm down. That's all. He's still a baby. Why would they do this to him? Voldemort was trashing wildly behind him and was trying to claw the arrow out of its eyes and was flailing it's head wildly each time it failed. It was very distracted and it would be the best time to kill Voldemort.

But Sylthfreiyn refused to let it end like this. The end was too quick........ for a child's young life.

Tarik-Khaldun Sayyid

"My only value is not just my face."
_________________________________________

Tarik could not for the life of him get his arm back on since he was in such a rush and he just screwed the rules. Well there weren't any rules, but he just gave up. As he turned back to go back in the battle, he just witnessed to women fighting and it irritated him. Okay, women squabbles did not belong in the battle. Whose laundry belongs to who or whose dishes were broken or whose baby belonged to who or whatever women would actually fight about could be taken elsewhere.

Just as he was about to get back into battle with a sword in one hand and his other arm dangling from his belt, which was seriously creeping him out and he didn't dare look at it, a man came up and told everyone to stop attacking.

Seriously? Tarik did not lower his sword, but he did not attack. "Step aside. You've already been thrown aside by this beast and now is the best time to kill it. You obviously do not have any control of this situation and if we leave it like this, students will be killed. They are the priority right now and your son or whatever that is, is a threat to the school."

After all, this creature hurt Angela and he needed to get her to the infirmary as soon as possible. Any creature that harms a student is fair game to him. Tarik was determined to kill this creature. Even if it made him look like the bad guy, he didn't want to take any chances.

Oh yes, but Tarik wanted to wait for the feminine man to step aside because the man was in the way.

Severin Novaire

"Literature is complex and one really has to think to understand it."
________________________

It was done. Severin finally finished his magic circle. The others had been distracting the creature well enough and Sylth was doing all he could to protect it... and so was Christine, but Severin was certain that it had to die. He took a deep breath--mainly because he really needed it--and dashed for the creature. "Veith. You better speak faster if you're not close to done. I'm leading it here!" Severin told the boy.

Severin knew he didn't have any magical energy left so he couldn't lead the creature to where the magic circle by distracting it with magic so...

"Sorry, but... I'll borrow this!" Severin said as he drew a sword from the blonde who was arguing with Sylthfreiyn. He was about to slash at the creature when he found that the sword was oddly... flimsy. Severin looked at what he was holding and---

"ASDFGJHRADAHRSWFHAIFNDTHHDFALHGOHFAHAFGHAJ!?" Seveirn cried out as he chucked the arm as far as he could. Fortunately he threw it at the monster and the arm's collision with the monster got its attention. It looked at Severin and started to charge for him. Severin did not even hear the dismayed protests of the blonde man and he started to bolt for his circle.

With a very clumsy leap, Severin dashed out of the way so the monster could run onto his magic circle and be burned to a crisp. The moment the creature stepped onto the circle, fire would erupt from it and engulf the creature.

((Well, this has gone on long enough. D< It's time to end this since the weekend is coming up.))

"Ugh, no," Angela said, grimacing. "If you're talking about healing me or something just forget it. Healing magic does not sit well with me at all. Meaning it usually makes me violently ill. Just leave it. I've had worse. The last monster had acid saliva. Just...don't mind me. And shoot it or something."

She could hear Christine screaming in the background but didn't quite understand what she was shouting about. Her mind was going a bit fuzzy so she couldn't focus on it very well.

Mrr. Blood loss.

"We'll do tea later. After I stop bleeding..." She was so sleepy. She wondered if maybe she could just have a little snooze right there. Probably not the wisest with a monster running around, and a teacher who wanted to have her for lunch, though.

Veith was still reciting words and that was all he was doing at the time while everyone was having action filled running around. Severin dashed off and told him to recite faster. No. He didn't need to do that. He was almost done and had to speak slower.

And the timing couldn't have been any better. The creature was running towards here and Severin either... tripped... or jumped out of the way. It dashed right onto the circle and Veith quickly spat out the last two words that he had been dragging on very slowly just for the sake of timing.

As the fire went up, Veith did a twirl and the arm motions and then extended his arm towards the creature. His spell added more fire to Severin's and Veith seriously doubted the creature could survive. There was just too much fire. In fact, for being so close, the heat was making Veith sweat so much and he regretted wearing his cloak.

xHaving just the vision is no solution,
Everything depends on execution!

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Back outside! Romane glanced over the area and saw, to her dismay, that it was still the same situation as before, except both of her 'coworkers' were out – but looking absolutely pathetic. Tarik had a missing arm and the other blonde man was hiding behind a tree with a student – ugh. Truly, only she was the capable one here. ..Never mind that all she had done was shoot one of her allies and then run off, but she at least accomplished saving a man's life! A worthless man who didn't deserve to survive when all he did was get injured by fellow students, but a man nonetheless!

..Romane would have to reflect on all this later, especially since her attention had gone from the chaos outside the school to one individual. Was he.. leading the monster away? Ah! Only one hero in this entire mess! She would have to congrat – “...” Her eyes squinted shut and she automatically stepped back as a sudden rush of flames erupted in the distance where the monster was running – that.. What just happened? She creased her brow and moved back some more, edging closer to the building just in case the fire grew too big to control. Not that she was thinking of hiding in there, of course.
