Mala walked over to Van's side, gazing at the weapons with a smile. "Great. Just let me know whichever you want, and I'll make sure you get it."

Van walked inside, holding the door open for Mala before looking over the knife selection. He picked a few up, tossing, twirling, and swinging them around a bit before finally picking one, along with a sheath for it that he could attach to his belt. "I'll take it!" he said as he put his purchases on the counter.

Mala whipped out the money needed to pay for the knife, every gold and silver piece as if it were nothing. Afterwards, she smiled once more at Van.

"Now let's see, how does this thing...?" Once they left the store, Van tried to reach around to attach his new toy to the back of his belt.

Mala walked along side Van, feeling proud of herself for being able to buy him a gift. For the longest while, they mostly only bought what was necessary. Now, after seven long years, she had something to flaunt and show off.

"Okay, there's a strap...And there's a strap...Now why...won't....you...buckle....?!" Van muttered, becoming frustrated with the sheath, still trying reach around behind him and fiddle with the pesky thing.

"Yeah, kinda..." Van admitted, stopping and turning to look back at Mala over his shoulder and giving up his attempts to let her do it.

Mala took the sheathed blade and attached it to Van's belt with relatively little difficulty. This wasn't surprising, especially since she lived in the city of magic and fassion for so long. "So...how's this?"

"Perfect." Van said with a little smile as he looked over his shoulder to admire his latest weapon and fashion accessory. He also, however, realized something more unfortunate as he peered behind him. "Where did Riley and Angel go?" he asked with a feint hint of worry. "Most of the inhabitants here barely come up to my knee, how did they get lost in the crowd?"

"Mhm." Then she paused, hearing, and threw a dress on and flew downstairs, throwing herself onto Lupa and, by the transitive property of squealing hugpiles, onto her brother. "Lupe!" She kissed the girl. "Oh! It's been way too long! What's it been, baby, three years? You were just a pup when you came by! Oh, you're so cute!" Val paused to pull back and look up and down Lupa. "How old are you now, baby? Seventeen?"
"Eighteen," Lupa corrected with a grin. "I'm a little offended. You forgot my birthnight."
Angel murmured, "Hey, Riley, can you take me to a room? I wanna sleep." She absently nuzzled his neck.

"Seeing as how Mala's got all the money, we'll have to find her and Van first. Dammit, where did they go??" Riley said, still carrying Angel as he wandered through town after somehow getting hopelessly lost.

Angel pouted slightly, then murmured, "I have stuff we could maybe sell... like... um..." She thought a moment. "A lunablossom. They were special flowers... momma had witch friends enchant a bunch of them so I could carry them everywhere..." She produced one from her bag after a moment of blind rummaging, a silver and blue flower in a translucent blue sphere. "They get really pretty in the moonlight." To Angel, flowers were one of life's essential things, and although the flower would certainly get some money in a witch market, where it was used in certain relaxants, they weren't very valuable elsewhere.

Mala shrugged. "Goblins aren't known for violence. Riley or Angel probably found some neat trinket they liked or something." Mala said, not all too worried about either of them at the time.

"It's an idea, but in a place like this that's so full of fancy machinery, I doubt it would fetch a very high price." Riley said with an apologetic smile that said appreciated her offer.
"You really trust Riley to handle Angel for an extended period of time?" Van said raising an eyebrow, unsure of how smart it really seemed.
