The Next technique San was going to practice was…surprise surprise, another doton technique. The weighted rock technique, a strong defense as well as offensive jutsu would make a really powerful weapon once san was able to add his own person spin into it. Despite it being a upper level technique, the chakra manipulation was rather simple but still complicated in practice. At his konin level, it should be easy for him to desypher and practice. The technique not requiring and hand seals, it was all around the manipulation of chakra around the body. Once this was practiced, San began to feel and flow the doton chakra in the same manner. More and more, he had to focus…let the chakra move. Once the chakra manipulation was practiced, he then had to practice transferring it to something/somebody else. He would have to bypass their natural chakra barrier and affect the actual cells of the person, causing damage even the best medics would have issues with. Proving to be once again a versitle technique, the weighted rock technique could also “maim” instead of killing. Satisfied with how he was able to manipulate this technique, San Took a moment and ran his head through his list once again. If he was going to be grounded, then he might as well train. For some reason, he had a feeling like he was going to need it. The automatons and the chakra virus so close to home….something wasn’t right.

Sans Next technique was going to be a cover and surprise technique. With so much stuff going on, he could probably even mess up and throw off even the best sensors or trackers, keeping himself and his team obscured and safe. The thousand scattering crows, and San would dub the “million scattering crows” was perfect to achieve the goal he wanted. The flapping, crowing, pooping, and general over all motion would get everyone lost or confused unless the user wanted them otherwise. So either useful as a combat tactic or a retreat tactic, San would accurately specifically apply this technique to make it the most effective that he could. With James as a partner, and his wicked armor, it would be a two hit combo that would affect anybody and everybody. Smiling, he could only think about the legendary names they would be known as. Forming the chakra manipulation, the konin formed the technique. This time, watching it grow, the technique covered a wider base then normal and there were even more crows per area, making it one mass of black. Satisfied, San ran through his list once again.

The next technique was another favorite Doton technique of his. This one, the military movement one, allowed him to “swim” as well as stay underground. Well, in typical San manner, He was going to push himself to the limits. He needed this technique to last longer, let him move faster underground. With this too, he would be able to combo his techniques and skills together….and the enemy wouldn’t even know he wasn’t there. It was once again perfect. Along side his tripy and “genjutsu” like ninjutsu appearance, he could easily throw off the enemy once again. Never let your enemy see your spirit, or your mind will shatter like glass. It seemed as the older San was getting, the more and more he was getting like Raizen. Did his father have this all planned out, or what happened? For someone who wasn’t very strong at his bloodline ability, or mr spectacular at the academy, San sure did seem to be making a name for himself now. But…following his own code, he would never be super ninja. His team would always come first, which is why he was practicing and working with the set of techniques he was now. All he needed to do was do his part, and his team would do theirs. If the communicated and worked as a team, then there was nothing they couldn’t do.

Continuing with his Doton practice, San was going to play with a offensive technique. The Earth Dragon projectile technique was one San used often, and one San really enjoyed playing with. His genjutsu like effects would make it almost appear as if the technique was stronger or more real then it actual was, maybe even making it appear like it was an illusion. San ran his hands through the Hand seals rather quickly, already very comfortable and familiar with them. Then molding the chakra, San made his chakra color join in with the rock making it an actual Red dragon. But instead of feeling satisfied there, San made the dragon grow. Once the dragon was bigger, the ninja allowed the “mini Van” sized chunks of rock he used to spit grow into “semi truck sized,” Allowing them to easly demolish and destroy an area, possibly even a gate or an encampment. Satisfied and happy with how everything went, San dispelled the jutsu and ran through his list once again.

San figured his next technique needed to be a descrete technique made more powerful. If he could eliminate an enemies strengths, then he could magnify their weaknesses….stuff San really enjoyed doing. The pulsating earth technique was yet another favorite doton technique of the Black Bear, and his style enjoyed using it as well. It was a rather simple technique, just pulsing chakra and waves through the ground to interrupt their chakra flow and eventually knock them out. Well eventually was not a word San liked to use when it came to techniques. Focusing and refining the flow, keeping Jame’s concepts in mind, the konin practiced the flow going out through the ground. Once refined, the Black bear then expanded and magnified the flow making it way more potent as to nearly always debilitate the enemy. Satisfied with how this training went, the ninja

Katon: Hi Shinten no Jutsu (Fire Release: Flame Spread Technique) D

Al entered the academy grounds and looked around. The place was trashed from the tsunami, and it also looked like someone had been messing around with Earth techniques on the grounds. Sighing, he headed for one of the few standing buildings and slipped inside, closing the door behind him. This next technique was an important one for when he had to go close in fighting. Unfurling the scroll, he studied the technique.
1/2

After carefully studying the technique, he grabbed one of his kunai and held it out in front of himself. Carefully performing the technique, he watched as fire slowly grew around the hilt and extended upwards, turning his simple kunai into a flaming katana. He happily released the technique and turned his attention back to the scroll.
2/2

Shoumeidan no Jutsu [ Flare Technique ] E

He studied the next technique and nodded at it's usefulness. There were alternatives to creating flares, but the ability to have one on hand instantly and quickly far exceeded the pros of constructed flares. After a cursory examination of the technique, he proceeded to launch the flare upwards into the ceiling, illuminating the dark room and setting a small stick on fire, which fell down and was stomped on. He continued to the next.

Katon: Kasumi Enbu no Jutsu (Mist Waltz Technique) D

The final "easy" technique he was going to learn was a very interesting one indeed. There was no limit to the amount of chakra that could be used, only the difficulty of the technique. Studying it carefully, he took several deep breaths inwards and concentrated his chakra into the lung regions.
1/2

Exhaling sharply, he breathed out a sizable portion of the mist, which gently dangled and floated everywhere. Converted withing the body, if he was to give a single spark it would ignite, setting fire to the entire surroundings and strongly causing dispair for his enemies. Taking a break, he lay down and munched on some more snacks, daydreaming of great battles between a familiar figure and a giant evil cultist.

Koukiatsu no Jutsu [ High Air Pressure Technique ]
After having rested for a bit, Al suddenly felt anxious to continue his extended training. He decided another Wind technique would be desirable, and opened the advanced wind scroll. Calmly studying the diagrams, he focused himself and performed the requisite handseals for the technique, designating the building and focusing his chakra.
1/2

The air pressure in the building rose dramatically, and while he was feeling fine, he knew that the others in the area wouldn't be as lucky. Of course, he probably wouldn't be able to use this around squad or teammates but if he was facing enemies one on one, it would be a perfect edge. Sighing, he studied the scroll further.
2/2

Kaze no Yaiba [ Sword of Wind ]
The next technique called for a bit of focus, as well as some concentration. He was pleased to note that the technique could be done without handseals if he had a medium, say like a fan. He was sure his staff could be made to accommodate that, but he had to concentrate. He performed the numerous hand seals, and concentrated on a dummy a short bit away.
1/2

A fierce whirlwind formed in front of him and shot at the dummy, surrounding it and slicing it at an alarming speed. When it died down, the dummy had been sliced to shreds, toppling apart and failing to even maintain its basic shape. A powerful technique, if he could properly aim it. Nonetheless, it was a good addition to his inventory. He would soon be able to keep up with his fellow Gennin.

Nenshou Tosshin [ Burning Rush ] C
This next technique very much intrigued him. Supposedly, it was both a defensive and offensive technique, which while he hoped not to get into many close ranged fights, would be useful when it happened. Studying the charts, he noted the longer array of handseals and began performing them accurately. He also noted the large area space, and stepped back.
1/3

Completeing the seals, he began to concentrate, molding his chakra into the shape he wanted on his arms and hands. Carefully, he released the technique and watched as the ball of chakra burst away from him, only to swirl back. It had the bonus of confusing the opponent briefly if they knew of its sister technique.
2/3

Once the ball began swirling back, he watched as it coated his arms and hands, forming into the shape of "flames" while offering both a defensive and offensive weapon. He oddly noted that he felt better, and moved with more spring to his step. It seemed the technique had other benefits as well. He was sure one of his bloodline technique would pair nicely.
3/3

Shouidan no Jutsu [ Incendiary Technique ] C
Returning to the Fire scroll, Al wanted an even stronger technique. He carefully studied the selection, and decided on the Shouidan no Jutsu. He could definitely find a use for it, even if he had to "cough up" the globules. He studied the diagrams, noting the precise mixture of chakra in the stomach and beginning the seals.
1/3

Completing the preperations, he felt the accumulation of the globules in his stomach, which then forced it's way upwards and out of his mouth. Hacking out one of the globules, he searched for a nearby dummy, and tossed the glob onto it's front. He'd never have an easy target like that, but it was nice to practice, neh?
2/3

Aiming carefully, he performed the Flare technique and watched as it collided with the globule. Suddenly, an explosion knocked him off balance, and when he got up the dummy and a bit of the floor surrounding it were destroyed and on fire. A very powerful technique if one could get a spark to hit the globs. He was certain he had several to use for that.

Hearing the approach of various reconstruction caravans, Al cleaned up and slipped out, moving to assist them in their efforts. He could spare the time, especially now that he actually knew some things. Meeting with the building coordinator, he grabbed a shovel and cheerfully went to work digging out collapsed support beams, uncovering soaking books and scrolls, and clearing away various bits of debris.
1/5

The coordinator learned he was a Shakuton, and set him to work dehydrating the waterlogged books and scrolls, vital learning apparatus. As he sat, he idly daydreamed, but also retained a steady pace. He wanted to make sure that the reconstruction happened quickly, so the village could resume it's normal pace. He didn't like all of the destruction around here, and hated that they had failed to prevent this disaster.
2/5

Looking around after fixing the books and scrolls, he had a bunch of nails and a hammer shoved into his arms. "Go help with that roof" the coordinator grumbled, pointing to the roof of the main learning building. Smartly saluting, he quickly climbed up and began securing the various beams and rafter that constructed the building. He thought back to his Academy years, and gave a fond smile at all of the instructors and friends he'd made during those classes.

Once he and the other workers had finished the roof, he shimmied down and went to pester the coordinator again. Raising an eyebrow, he pointed at the huge stacks of books Al had dried, and then to the various classrooms. Giving a sigh, he grabbed stack after stack and hauled them away to the classrooms, making sure the appropriate copies were in each location. It was best not to mix things up, at this point.
4/5

Once he finished, he and the other workers helped to finish up the last touches on the main building, and backed off. Dramatically, the coordinator went to the power breaker on the nearby pole, poised dramatically for a photo, then pulled the lever. Inside the repaired academy, lights blinked on, fans whirred, and the toilets all flushed. Everyone stared for a moment, then burst out laughing. The rest of the grounds still had some work, but the most important bit was done, and they all deserved some rest.

King of The Frozen Sand

James sloshed into the Academy and started freezing the water out of almost everything he could see. drawing the moisture forward as he could through his ice release technique. James took the moisture and started adding the ice onto his Valkyrie. He lengthened the barrel and added to the magazine., The entire weapon expanded to fit James after his resent growth spurt. James stopped for a minute to take a breath. He looked around at the support structures and all the other walls oth the water logged and pressure busted academy. This bastion of learning taught him almost everything. James swirled the air in the academy, searching for the balance of moisture and the best gaps to push it out. James nodded to Al, and gave him an encouraging pat on the back. "All of this water will at least let me make good ice cream later. It is already salted."

James walked past the Gennin to the area he had placed his waterfall. The waterfall was basically gone. collapsed into the busted floor because of the lack of support. James reached down and placed his hands into the water. He formed a handseal in the water and pulled a large chunk of ice out.

James dove down into pool and swam down into the depths. he found gap that had collapsed and expanded the ice into the gap with the surronding water, sealing the hole with hyouton ice. James checked his work quickly as his air started to run low. James saw it was good, and headed back to the surface. James emerged from the pool and once again blasted a tone of water into the air. James pulled the air through like a vacuum to his Valkyrie. As the air ran through the working of the weapon James added to the jutsu more. Expanding the chambers and further turning the scope. It all ended with James running a test fire of his newly trained jutsu out the top window of the academy, as a horrifying supersonic crack would ring out as a concentrated blast of wind rocked through the pathways of the Jutsu weapon.

James smiled at his new creation.

"I hope Bast didn't kill Sanshi."

San entered and smiled to james, laughing and his new creation. Using lemons to lemonaide, San too hit a few hand seals, performing the stone castle creation to recreate and fortify the academy. Smiling, the ninja spoke to James, filling him in on everything else.

"So....Bast is cranky huh? Did you hear about me getting "grounded." Yeah...apperently the inability to stop a tsunami made me a bad team leader...."

The entire crew of workers, having been moments ago celebrating their entire day's work in fixing the one main building, all stared open mouthed at the two Nin. Al was given a pat on the back, and left to watch them do work in minutes, that would have taken days. As San also entered and fixed the entire place, Al quietly sat down on a bench nearby, and just watched. So that's what one of the better Nin can do, huh. Wow... San and James are awesome. Still, that Bast lady even scares THEM, so I'd better not mess with her. Hearing San's comment, he added "Well... Nobody died, right? So I think all's well that ends well, right? Besides, time in the village is always nice, lots of cool breezes and pleasant days!" Walking over, he studied the newly rebuilt academy, and said "So James... d'you make chocolate?"
