The bandaged Kai looked at the other. "You're right." He said flatly. "She is insane."

"And Taki's egging her on." Kai1 said mournfully.

"We're doomed." They said in unison, Kai1 leaning back in his chair dejectedly while Kai2 leant against the table dominating the middle of the room, pouting.

"Since when did you become melodramatic Kai...s?" Brooklyn asked.

"Since there were two of us." The original Kai answered. "It's like complaining to yourself in your head-"

"-But not." The other one finished, ignoring the look that Brooklyn gave him.

"So this is the way that your head works?" He asked incredulously.

Both Kai's shrugged. "Pretty much." The original answered.

"I am so glad I'm not in there." Brooklyn said with feeling.

Rei bit his lip and nodded. "Right. What does that mean?" He asked, opening his drawers and searching for pants. He hadn't been expecting any visitors. At least it was only Boris.

"That means that Taki's comfortable enough in whatever's happening that he doesn't think he needs to keep up even a semblance of obedience anymore."

Rei nodded slowly as he selected a pair of pants and pulled them on, tying the drawstring around the waist loosely so the pants barely sat on his hips. "What does that mean for him?" He asked quietly.

"That means that he's too dangerous to keep alive." Boris stated flatly.

Why did you have to be so stupid, Taki? Rei wondered, looking up sharply at Boris's surprising, yet not unexpected news.

[ Message temporarily off-line ]

"I'm normal!" Both Kai's said in unison before looking at each other and deflating. "...Oh."

"It's the thought that counts." Brooklyn reassured them as they continued to look at each other strangely. "Is that really what's going on in your head...s?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. and looking between them.

"And you wonder why I always complain about headaches to Tala." The second Kai sighed.

"Who wouldn't?" The first Kai asked, smirking. "First there's the sympathy and then there's the-"

"-And that thought stops there." His twin said, a smirk gracing his bandaged face, mirroring that of the other Kai. "Stop being so open- it doesn't suit you."

The first Kai rolled his eyes. "It's refreshing knowing you're thinking the same thing."

"That's because I am you dorkhead"

"Dorkhead? You slash me with your words." Kai told himself sarcastically before their twin smirks grew wider at the quote.

Brooklyn rolled his eyes at them. "When you can amuse yourself for hours on end be afraid."

"Hey! I was an only child. I have an excuse." They said together.

Rei sighed and flopped on to his bed, stretching to remove the kinks from his muscles. He sighed blissfully and ignored Boris's gaze on him. Eventually he opened up his eyes and smirked, amused. "You alright there?" He asked.

Boris answered his smirk with one of his own. "I can't help it if you're too sexy for your own good." He said hoesntly, lying down next to Rei and putting his hand on the neko-jin's bare stomach.

Rei rolled his eyes. "Please. I stretched, that's got nothing to do with being sexy. You've just got sex on the brain."

Boris' brow furrowed. "Do not." He said petulantly.

"Like if I said a random word like... banana, for instance." Rei told him.

Boris' eyes narrowed in amusement, "Well... you know-" He said, tracing small circles on Rei's stomach.

Rei shivered slightly before mock glaring at Boris. "My point exactly." He said flatly before a soft growl escaped his lips when Boris' hand reached a little bit lower. "Cheater." He whispered before ceasing to think about anything. Not Taki. Not Anything.

Kisa sighed as she remembered the soft knock on her door that had come as she was about to fall asleep. She had been pissed off at the time. That was before the offer was laid on the table.

If she killed Taki she would have a one way ticket out of here. She would get out of the life she hated and she be able to get out of the memories that plagued her.

If she could get rid of them she would be free, no matter where she was.

Brooklyn shook his head. "I don't know if I can touch Zeus without it trying to take over." He said sadly, tearing his gave away from the dark, powerful presence.

He shrugged. "Besides, I don't think Bry would let me get near it again?" He said, looking over his shoulder at his lover.

"I wouldn't let you near that thing." The Kai who had seen the event said emphatically.

"What happened?" Kai2 asked curiously.

"Brook's spirit thing tried to kill him."

"...Oh."

The first Kai sighed and looked at his Dranzer. "I don't know what I could do to help you." He said honestly. "All Dranzer's done so far is give me an impressive burn and raised my body temperature a few notches."

"Burn?" Kai's clone asked.

The original Kai held out his hand for the other to see a silvery white burn on the palm of his hand in the shape of Dranzer's disk. "I think it's scarred." He said lightly. "Dranzer was proving a point to me."

"Nice." The second Kai said approvingly.

EDIT: Kai1 nodded and closed his fist, bringing it back to his side. "I think it's the only thing that's really different about us." He said with a grim smile."

"That, and you have a sacred spirit." the second Kai reminded his twin.

"That too." Kai thought for a moment before tossing Dranzer's disk to his counterpart. "Can you use it?" He asked.

Kai2 Reached out and caught the disk in one hand, his eyes widening at how heavy it was. "How am I meant to use it?" He asked, inspecting the disk but feeling nothing but metal beneath his fingers.

He jumped slightly when he felt a wave of heat pulse through his body. He shuddered as he felt whatever was in the disk's attention squarely on him.

"I don't think it likes m-" Kai stopped in mid sentence, his eyes widening in shock as he began to get very cold very fast. It felt like Dranzer was trying to take away his body heat. "What?" He asked, his pale skin becoming paler by the second.

Kai1's eyes widen when he realized what Dranezr was doing. He had felt the phoenix's discomfort from the moment she had touched the clone Kai's hand but he didn't think she would do anything about it.

Evidently he was wrong.

Stop it He ordered, putting all of his will into the command. He looked over at his counterpart and sighed as he saw that he had stopped shivering.

Kai2 let out a startled cry as Dranzer's disk shot out of his hand and straight toward the other Kai.

Kai caught the disk, swearing as the impact ricocheted through his body.

Kisa quietly broke into Taki's room and looked around, swearing quietly when she couldn't find him.

Would he still be down there? She wondered as she turned her feet and began to walk towards the older part of Biovolt.

"How can I learn how to control it if I'm not allowed near it?" Brooklyn asked Bryan, smirking and settling himself comfortably, leaning into Bryan's chest. "Seems a bit strange."

"I don't like those things." Kai2 said angrily. "Why do they keep on trying to kill me?" He sent Wolborg a glare to prove his point.

Kai1 shrugged. "I don't know." He said honestly, shaking his head and looking at Dranzer.

Fayina sighed as she passed Taki's room, taking this path towards the older part of Biovolt by habit rather than will. She felt a pang of regret at the deal she'd struck with Boris.

Am I really that much of a monster? she wondered as her feet carried her. Can I really do this?

Could she trade Taki for what she wanted? A clean slate?

Kai1 sighed and stepped between his counterpart and Wolborg. "As much as you don't like me can you lay off on him?" He asked the wolf.

Kai2 frowned. "I don't need you to fight my battles for me." He told his other angrily.

"We also don't need you to fight a battle." Kai answered himself cooly, not taking his eyes off Wolborg. "We have a Biovolt to save... destroy... whatever."

"What if I held Zeus but didn't call it out until whatever's going down happens?" Brooklyn suggested.

Brooklyn shook his head. "I knew what it was doing, Kia." He said quietly. "It stopped because it wanted to. It was just showing me what it could do." He sighed and stood up. moving over to where Zeus' disk was. "It didn't even show me the half of it." He said, considering the disk carefully before mentally shrugging and picking it up.

Instantly, Brooklyn felt the power wash over him, chasing away any doubts he had about taking Zeus again. He looked over at Bryan, posture unconsciously straightening, and smirked. "See? Harmless."

Rei sighed blissfully, slight tremors running through his body in the light of his recent activities. He turned to face Boris, smirking as he saw the older man still trying to catch his breath. "I told you you had sex on the brain."

Boris managed a half smile, his chest heaving. "I'm not the only one here with that problem." He told Rei, grinning and taking in the neko-jin's worn out face with a hint of smugness.

((Can we skip time to... something else?))

The bandaged Kai scowled at Taki. "******** you T" He said moodily.

"It won't do anything." Brooklyn promised, feeling a surge of raw power run through him at the statement. "I swear." He finished, giving Bryan a small grin.

Rei rolled his eyes at Boris. "Pervert." He muttered before pushing himself up on to his elbows to look down at Boris. He smiled to himself for a second before flopping back down on the bed. "Can I go to sleep now?" He asked Boris plaintively.

Boris frowned in concern. "How long has it been since you slept?" He asked.

"A while." Rei answered.

"How long's a while?"

"...Few hours."
