"I don't think your leaving."
Rod stood directly behind Shane, arm shooting forward. It's grip would be of titanium, instant and painful. Snaking Shane by the neck, Rod would then try to raise him above his head, planning on crushing his throat with one hand..
His tail would lash in a thick line, blocking the main exit with it's razor edge.

Teshoumaru nods his head toward Mrs. Smith, "You may call me Teshoumaru. Now if you will excuse me I have to see to Gidget's brother. I will be back as soon as I can. In the meantime I'd like you to try and shape as many different things as you can with your shadow young one."

He gives them a curt salute and falls back into his shadow again. He isn't sure about what is happening at the hospital, but he prays it isn't Leviathan. He has shadow traveled too much, and is starting to feel the toll it is taking on his body.

Gidget runs up to Mrs. Smith, her eyes fraught with worry. "Mrs. Smith, what was he talking about? Did something happen to Shane?"

Shane is about to answer Lily, and climb into the car, when his voice is cut off by what feel like a giant steel cable clamping down on his neck like a python. He claws at the metal fruitlessly, his feet kicking at nothing as he is lifted into the air. He knows what has him, and he is terrified. He can't make acid, or lightning, or even fly. He is only human, and he is about to be crushed like a rodent in the grip of a snake.

The young man glances over at Annie occasionally. He finds her very attractive, but intimidating at the same time. It has nothing to do with her powers, but rather he considers himself as less than nothing. Sure he was great with blood, but that could only get him so far in a relationship (something which he has absolutely no experience with).

He jumps slightly when the spinner pings. "Ah, it's done. Time to see what you are made of."

He places each of the vials into a different machine set next to the spinner. He closes the doors and they begin to hum to life. They go through their programmed procedures, hidden away from all behind the stainless steel doors. It doesn't take long for a few printouts to start spitting out of them.

He takes the one from the far left. "You're free of any blood born illnesses. Something I was concerned about considering the number of scars on your body. Wanted to make sure you hadn't opened yourself up to anything nasty."

Another printout comes. "Your blood type, as well as white and red cell count are all normal. And you're not pregnant."

The last one spits out and he looks it over carefully. Then once over again. Then one last time. He looks at Annie seriously, "Well your blood isn't acidic, but it is most definitely poisonous. Dr. Acula said that you mentioned your blood turning black when you overused your powers. This is probably due in part to the way your body produces the acid. Since you are a class three, you produce a sort of chemical that changes moisture into acid. I can't say with a hundred percent certainty without more extensive tests, but I can hypothesize that your blood and bodily fluids may act as the catalysis to your power. Does any of this coincide with what you have been experiencing?"

Teshoumaru slides out of the awnings shadow like he is standing on an elevator. He reaches into his coat and brings out what appears to be the hilt of a Japanese blade. The handle is almost twice as long as normal, and it appears quite worn.

He had seen this beast earlier. It looks like it is going to be a tough nut to crack. However, he notices that there are some gaps in the plates. His face ticks when he takes into account how small the gaps are. A shadow spiral? No good, Shane would be sucked into as well. He always had his ace in the hole, but to use it in his current condition would leave him vulnerable. He decides it is best to play it by ear.

"Hey, Mechagojira. Why don't you put the child down and fight something that can kill you?"

Shaking her head violently, Lily rose fully to her height. This monster now had her friend and teacher by the throat, though she didn't care what happend to Felix, she did however care about Shane. So she calmly walked over to the pair (Rod and Shane) and looked up at the seven foot monster.

"What the hell do you think you are doing?! What in the hell is all this for? This destruction and murder!? Do you really want to be that monster they are making you out to be!? " her fist clenched as she slammed them to her side. She wanted this to stop, she didn't want anybody hurt.

Then she thought of something.. She had visions, and though what it seemed this thing was after was power, she couldn't give him that. Not in the way he'd been taking it from others. Though, she was sure that with enough concentration maybe she could in vision on where the other metas where at. Others that perhaps deserved to die, like Leviathan. Then a evil thought crossed her mind.

She recalled the mans name from her vision. Though his appearance was much different then, she was sure by the voice it was the same person. It would only prove her ability farther.

"Rod, is it? Look... Let my friends go. I can help you, I can offer you something they can't... But, you have to let them go first." she wasn't going to play coy any longer. If he was interested in her offer, she would run the show.

Stepping outside Alix sighed loudly as he pointed one gun towards Shane, the other at the metal monstrosity. “Now, someone is going to answer my questions. First, you over grown tin can, don’t forget about me your worthless piece of s**t!” As he spoke the gun pointed at Shane changed, now aiming at Rod, both guns began to fire in rapid succession until the clips were expended. “I am the one you were after forget these half brained idiots.” He spoke his voice cold and uncaring.

The bullet wound on his shoulder still poured blood but not as badly. Due to his shapeshifting powers he was able to divert a majority of the veins and muscle out of the area before harm could come to them. “As for you half brained idiots, get out of here. You make me sick just looking at you!” He knew they didn’t care, after all, they had just left him behind. But, he had something in store for each of them. “But Lily, don’t be getting hurt you got it? You still belong to me, do I make myself clear... Slave?”

Turning his attention back to Rod, Alix cracked his neck as he pocketed his guns once more. His left hand began to transform into a sort of shield, his right, into a morningstar. “Time to dance you God awful freak!” Rushing towards him he could only smirk. He knew what he was doing was a suicide mission, but if it would give his slave and her protectors time to escape he’d do it. Leaping onto his back Alix began to slam his morningstar hand into the creature. Even though it was still flesh, and it felt as if he was attacking a car door with his bare hands he did not let up.

The young blood technician scratches his head as he speaks, "Y'know, he never actually told me that he was going anywhere. I figured he was still inside the facility doing work, and that you were here on your own time."

Gidget's hands come up to her chest as her eyes start to cloud up with tears. Shane has never once been in any sort of physical altercation, not since his accident when he was a kid. Teshoumaru was there though, and she felt better because of it. With him there she would only be in the way. He's had years of experience doing this kind of thing.

Forcing a smile, she says to the Smith's, "I think I've had enough to eat. I'm going back to work now. If you guys need me for anything just come to the R&D labs. There are signs all over the place pointing to it."

She waves at them in passing and trudges out of the cafeteria and back to her tasks.

Shane falls hard onto the pavement. He was still kicking when he was dropped and landed flat on his back. He feels a sharp, ungodly pain shoot up his spine. He cries out in pain amongst the gasps and coughs his lungs are forcing so he can catch his breath. He rolls onto his side, clutching his lower back.

Terrible fears roll through his mind. He had fallen out of a tree when he was a boy. That accident had nearly paralyzed him. He was lucky, but his back had become weaker because of it. Is he paralyzed now? He's sure that now Daisy would have all kinds of things to say about how breakable he is.

All thing considered, he puts that aside for just a brief moment. He heard what the boy had said about Lily. He wasn't going to let that happen. He strains his neck over to Teshoumaru and grunts through grit teeth, "Tesh-augh-don't let that man take Lily!"

Teshoumaru stands still as Rod runs past him. His objective was keeping Shane Morris safe. Now he has been given another one. Keep the shapeshifter from taking that girl. He turns and faces the boy with weapons for hands. He depresses a switch on the hilt in his hand. A blade almost three feet feet in length snaps out of it like a telescope. "You will have to kill me first before you can take her. The rest of you get out of here. I will take care of this boy."

Shane shifts to look at Daisy. His eyes are glistened with tears of frustration and pain. He strains out, "I'm sorry, but I can't stand on my own right now. Get me into the limo, I'll tell you where you need to go."

Shane cries out again as he pulls himself into the limo. "Augh-okay, we're going to the University science campus. I'll give you the directions on what to do once we get there. Make sure we aren't followed, and please don't leave Lily behind. She needs help, and that's where we're going to get it." His eyes bleed pure sincerity. Part of him can see that this may be a diversionary tactic to follow someone back to the facility, but he doesn't have very many options at the moment.

Eros cringed for a good five minutes, his leg now braced and latched, himself almost totally exhausted from screaming. It was almost too much.
Too much pain, waves of nausea coming then going, passing over him and through his being until he shook on the ground.
Wiping at his mouth, Eros adjusted his goggles, slowly lifting off of the ground, hovering inches above the cold floor. Drive, determination, stabbed into Eros like a stake, willing him back to life with it's every jab. Eros drifted, eyes drooping, around the little office, slinging drawers open, whipping small compartments open. A bottle of aspirin spilled to the tile below, and Eros cracked it open, pouring at least seven of them into his mouth, gasping. His face now under a sink, Eros drank heavily of the cold, crisp water, the pain centering, then running off, away from his mental landscape.
Eros breathed out, then in, out, then in.
With a sudden jerk of his arms, Eros was down the hall and outside, hovering way over the heads of all that would stare, almost running full length back into Rod. A shocked expression, then Eros was up and off, at least 30 feet above the metal freak.
Now the advantage would be his. Looking off though, Eros noticed a large fellow rounding his way toward the hospital. Narrowing his eyes to slits, Eros brought his gaze back to Rod, fire in the boy's stare. Slowly putting his hands into his pockets, Eros pulled out a steel ball bearing, rolling his wrists idly, preparing to strike..

Blitz was nearly at the building, stopping himself to notice a flying man, bizarre as if would seem, overhead. The fellow didn't attack immediately, a good sign, but Blitz kept a weary eye.
A mental slingshot from his own mind, Blitz called for Annie.
Rod. He's big now. Dangerous. Gotta melt him or slow him down someho-
Blitz suddenly gasped, then tried to scream, lightning filling his entire being, his thoughts once that of hope, for himself, for a future ahead of all of these things.
Then his mind grew blank, and his twitching body sickeningly plopped to the ground.
"Think ya can just do whatever pleases ya fancy?" Lev's voice as he crouched, a creak in his jeans, next to Blitz's fallen form, a cigarette between the Cortez's grinning lips. Lev pats the man's shoulder one last time, "But nah, can't really." Lev scoffed, actually laughing out loud. "Not when the thought police got your six." Lev whistled, ashing the butt of his cig on Blitz's forehead, standing back up to his full height.
"Now, to kill your lil' girlfriend, and all her compadres. And your gonna watch Blitz, your going to live to watch.."
Lev held his hands up, as if preaching to a choir, yelling out at the hospital. "I'mma crucify her ya know. With light posts. How's that sound?" Lev cackled, then left Blitz to twitch, unable to move, unable to fight, laying on the concrete, to wander off and away, simply circling the grounds ahead..
