Both are zweihander users. Siegfried NightmareGreat characters too. Nightmare is slower, but has some crazy attacks. Lightning enhanced flykick FTW!

It's a type of sword. Two-handed swords are large and require two hands to wield, obviously, but Zweihander is a term used to describe the weapons which are as large as, or larger then the wielder. Tis a German word.

Yes, it is still a two hander, but it's like saying a rapier is still a sword, just 'sword' could be anything from a rapier to a broadsword to a flamberge. And twohanded sword could be a claymore, zweihander, greatsword etc. It's being specific.
ANd yes, they are epic characters, that's the art for them in the 4th game.

They were originally the same. Siegfried was corrupted by the sword Nightmare wields, and eventually he got rid of it and claimed Soul Calibur. Nightmare was resurrected somehow into that bluish armour and now wields Soul Edge. Tis epic.
Nightmare has cooler attacks then Siegfried, impaling people, summoning lightning, flykicks...

Or for a Final Smash... does it have final smashes?
Ah well, FInal Smash could be grabbing Soul Edge as Siegfried, Soul Calibur as Nightmare, and unleashing some uber epic attack before changing forms, like Samus/Zero-Suit Samus.
