Nate followed them up to her room and helped her get settled as the doctor came in. "Alright, looks like we have a baby on the way." She said as she checked everything out. "But it looks like not for another few hours. The baby still has to drop a lot."

Nate laughed and pulled up a chair next to her bed, stress taking over his features. "What is your favorite letter?" He asked as he rubbed her knuckles with his thumb.

"Ethen?" He asked as he rubbed the back of her knuckles with his thumb, letting out a sigh.

She smiled " I like that name... It's a good. name.
She kissed his hand and closed her eyes, relaxed and excited to meet their baby.

As the hours slowly crawled by Nate had rested his head on the edge of the bed and fallen asleep, his stress weakening him. He would freak out when the baby came, and in his mind he needed the energy to do so.

She smiled pleasantly and woke him when the doctors came in to tell her it was time. She'd been having contractions, but he'd slept through most of them.

He looked up at her and nodded to himself, grabbing her hand again and waited, getting excited as well to see their baby.

She squeezed his hand tightly, taking the pain in silence following instructions to the t, wanting her Ethan out and healthy.

By the time Ethen was born Nate was stressed out and was suddenly tired when it was all over. The doctor had placed Ethen on Liza's stomach while Nate cut the cord. And after that they took Ethen to clean him and give him some shots to keep him healthy in the big world. When they were alone Nate hugged Liza hard and had the biggest smile on his face. "We have a baby boy Liza, a beautiful baby boy."

 She smiled and kissed him heavily, I know.... I'm so happy...." she said softly, weak from birth but she's not going to rest until she's holding her precious baby boy.

When Ethen was cleaned, they brought him back and gave him to Liza, telling her how to take care of him and told her how to breast feed if she so chose to. Nate smiled down at him and had a father's glow now, happy to see his first born child.

His hair was dark like his father's, but had several hints of purple set in his fuzzy head like jewel tones. His eyes were closed, him having stopped his crying as soon as Eliza took ohl of him, his tiny fingers grasping Nate's index, sleeping soundly in the little powder blue blankie.

He smiled and moved Eliza over, fitting all three on the small hospital bed with no problem. He rested his head on top of hers and kept his finger still for him. "I love you, so much." He told them both as he looked down at Ethen.
