The dragon nods his head and glances at Dalcon.

"Ah'm nah needed where mah teacher be. Ah be more handy here. Jus' get whatcha need ready, 'n Ah'll letcha know when Ms. Feathers needs help. She should almost be on tha thing by now."

Lina vanished in a blur with two of the three books she had been carrying as she ran to gather her things. The third was apparently an actual fiction novel, the 'complete Sam Vimes' story collection. With a publishing date that seemed a little bit off in a few ways.

When she came back she was wearing one of her black bodysuits that seemed a bit like a crash suit, with a backpack that looked suspiciously like a parachute and one of her great-swords slung over her shoulder.
"Alright, I guess you should let her know" Lina said with a bit of a smile, setting down a box and glancing at Jin and Dalcon once more.

Jin closes his eyes, thinking. Something connects, and he looks back at Lina.

"If ya follow tha train tracks ta tha Kaze Dojo, ya keep goin' in tha direction. Follow it all tha way ta the outskirt o' tha dojo's territory, 'n keep goin'. Iri says she has nah changed her course. By a normal Fury's flight, she's about three hours out from tha dojo. If ya can fly faster, ya should be able ta catch up quicker. 'N ya should run right inta her. They're below the clouds righ' now."

"Alright, thank you Jin" Lina walked over and give Jin a quick kiss before turning around and walking out the door, calling out "Jaa Ne"

After exiting the dojo Lina walked up to the train tracks, aiming herself towards the Kaze dojo before hijacking the power to the Trams. After a moment to brace herself and prepare a 'Raiboard' she found herself shooting off like a rocket down the tracks. A trail of arcing electricity followed behind her. She pulled up the set of goggles around her neck to shield her eyes before increasing her speed using her own energy to make a barrier to decrease the wind resistance. As soon as the barrier went into play she found herself nearing her Rai-shushin's speed.

Jin stole a kiss before Lina left, then went back to his post. He brings his legs up into a sitting position and floats again. Nothing more for him to do now other than wait.

Iri is walking through the halls of the Rai Dojo. An air spy is leading her to her students. For a moment, she can even feel their presences. A side effect of her currently unstable and shifting existence. But then she feels herself shift again, and she's back to relying on her air spy. When she reaches the right room, Iri doesn't bother knocking. Jin already knows she's there.

"We gonna kick thin's up a notch, righ'? Good. Ah been gettin' bored, Ah has."

Jin doesn't even open his eyes. He just grins as he talks. He's still sitting cross-legged in the air. His arms are crossed, too. Though it looks as though he's been sleeping on the job, Jin's been busy. Busy in his head, anyway, going over lessons again and again.

"If Tier's feeling cautious, I am. It's about time, anyway, don't you think? How's Dalcon?"

Iri doesn't look at her older student, either. She walks over to the boy's bed and stares down at his face. That placid mask comes up. She's worried. Really worried. How much damage did Nekojiri do?

Jin opens his eyes. He can't see beyond that poker face, but he knows what the winged woman is thinking. The emotion permeates the air. A few joints pop as Jin stretches and puts his feet back on the ground. He walks over to his sensei and claps one hand on her shoulder.

"Quit worryin' like a damn mother hen. He be alrigh'. Far as Ah can tell, anyhow. We be takin' him ta home now?"

"Mother" makes Iri's face soften. She swiftly blinds her emotions again and holds her hands over Dalcon. A current of air passes over him, then circles back. Carefully, the current nudges itself under the boy until he begins to float. With a beckoning motion of her hands, the air takes the boy a little closer to Iri. The Fury takes Dalcon in her arms, one arm under his legs and the other under his back with his head resting on her shoulder. She notices the weights on his arms and legs. They look like Lina's work, and she already guesses what they're for. It is possible that he won't be in a stable mental state when he wakes up. With a sigh, Iri walks out the door.

"Time to go."

Jin follows suit. He gets ahead of his teacher and leads the way, opening doors so she doesn't have to concern herself with anything other than the student she's holding. It's not long before the two of them are outside. Realizing it might be difficult for Iri to fly this way, Jin decides to make things a little easier. The man reaches for the other side of himself, releases his energy, and steps back as his body glows and changes. In a moment, the dragon is standing in front of Iri. Jin lowers his head and offers one foreleg as a step.

Iri thanks Jin for the courtesty and seats herself on her older student's back. Immediately, she creates a sort of bubble around herself and Dalcon. The less the rushing air disturbs her student, the better.

When Jin's sure the passengers are ready, the big dragon leaps into the air and aims for the Kaze Dojo.

Kinuko walked towards the Rai dojo. Several strange marks, almost like blackish brown spots, running along the back of her neck. Her eyes seeming more cat like then human. Her ears had much more of a point then was usual as well. The woman's normally revealing red outfit was replaced with a sleeveless shirt of reddish material looking similar to chainmail with black fabric underneath. Small wooden bracers of a similar shade were wrapped around her lower legs over black tangs.

She glanced around the dojo. Sniffing the air and growling to herself. "When I actually need... of course that girl would leave now" she muttered before looking around and finding a rock to sit on. "Calm down..." Kinuko said to herself, glancing at the building and the field around it. "You can't blow off steam here and you can't risk getting angry till this is fixed." she said aloud, her the lack of any signs of life making her feel at ease thinking aloud.

She sighed, taking deep breaths, before humming a tune for a few moments. Soon singing softly to herself
"Yoru o koete, taiyō no jōshō
Yoru o koete, tatakai no shōri
Tatakai no ga katta...."

Kinuko blinked as her senses picked up on one... no, maybe two? people seeming to appear in the basement near Lina's strange portal door. Her eyebrows raised further as she looked at the two figures that came up from the basement.

"You sing far better than Miss Lina you know" Said a young girl with long blue hair in twin tails, ending in red highlights. Her outfit was bizarre in several ways. She wore a white and blue colored version of one of Lina's normal outfits that had been modified in several ways. A jacket reminiscent of a duster's cape, with long baggy sleeves running underneath. Some kind of insignia sewed on each shoulder of the cape, some ribbons just under the covering. A double Belt around her waist, and light blue sneakers matching the ribbons around her feet. The leggings of the catsuit-like outfit pulled tight over the arch of the sneakers.

She tilted her head to the side "But we both know that doesn't say much does it?"
It was hard to tell how old the girl was, her height being a bit of a puzzle as she was sitting on the shoulder of a very large figure.

The large figure was covered from head to toe in a brown cloak. A cowl hiding his face in shadow. Though it seemed some kind of a netting further obscured his features. The figure was wide, but more noticeable was the fact that he was at least seven feet tall.

"Who are you people?"

The girl opened her eyes for the first time, showing Kinuko eyes which were mismatched, one blue, the other red. "Sileas A'Teagan"
She patted the shoulder of the cloaked man. "And my big silent friend here would best go by, hmm... M. works I suppose. He's taken it upon himself to be my guardian and protect me from the big bad world." the girl identified as Sileas stated with some level of humor in her tone.

Kinuko raised her eyebrow at hearing the sound of Sileas patting the shoulder. The cloth covered most of the sound, but she could hear metal. So the bodyguard was wearing armor? Plate armor if her guess was right. With what Kinuko had seen of Lina's work the armor probably what was obscuring her ability to sense the man. "Do I even need to introduce myself? Given where you came from you both know her after all?"

The cloaked figure walked closer, the sound of metal armor moving only slightly obvious now that Kinuko knew what to look for. M stopped and lowered himself down to one knee, allowing Sileas a short hop off his shoulder to the ground.

"You are Kinuko Kiato, daughter of Lina... no wait, I suppose your mother was Hallaphax Kiato wasn't she? It makes sense given your little curse that she would be your mother after all. Though having Raid's genetics as well didn't help matters in the least... " she closed her eyes once again upon seeing Kinuko sufficiently unnerved, turning her back to the woman and moving back towards the one she called M.

"So you both came out here for a reason. Are you supposed to help me?" she asked, clearly straining to keep her temper in check. "Or did she send you out to mock me after what she did to me?" Kinuko asked, clenching her fists for several moments.

Sileas had returned to her position on M's shoulder as she replied. "I only wished to meet someone who seemed of interest to me. It seems I was mistaken in my assumption." She patted M's shoulder once she was seated. "Please mention to Miss Lina when you see her that M and I await her return at the Well of Urd. She will understand the meaning."

M Stood and began walking slowly, leaving Kinuko alone. He Heard naught but silence, which he returned in kind as he carried Sileas back into the basement of the Rai Dojo

Lina sighed as she glanced at the two she was sitting with in the Well of Urd. One looked far too young to be drinking with, while the one who clearly was old enough to drink refused to remove his cowl. Still, it seemed the first round would be the last round for now anyway.

"You two know that if you're serious about staying awake..."

"That we shall be forced to leave this horrible, horrible place, full of comfort it's comfort conveniences" the girl said, struggling to keep the smirk off her face. "M wouldn't be anywhere as likely to let me enjoy being outdoors anyway"

To confirm the cloaked man let out a grunt.

Lina chuckled. "Right... but it's just an eclipse, give it an hour or two tops and then we'll be able to come and go like normal again.." she tilted her head, glancing up at M "Don't let her get any stupid ideas while I'm gone eh?"

"You're worse then my mother"

M nodded,
though given his silence Lina wondered just who he was agreeing with. She just shook her head, and grabbed a bag full of her standard armor and gear before walking at a quickened pace towards the door into the basement of the Rai dojo from her lab.

After a quick jog up the stairs she exited the Rai dojo. A quick pause as she looked up at the sky, a frown forming on her face. "Huh, might have cut that a bit closer then I meant to" she said as she watched the eclipse begin. Hearing the sound of the original owner of the space behind her lab door crashing back into it's rightful place. Still, the seals would work again a few hours after the eclipse was over, what could happen in a few hours

Lina turned her attention from the eclipse towards the feeling she was getting off in the distance. Blinking several times as she saw energy flowing that visually seemed like Rai. She couldn't sense anything in the area however.

After a few moments she started to become unsettled, as she realized she wasn't sensing anything at all still living in that direction, even if she was watching a massive flock of birds taking to the air. "Well that's not good" she said, before dropping her bag and starting to change into her armor. She didn't pay too much attention to the fact that her draconic scales were turning red from their normal silver coloration.

The first wave of the crows flew overhead. Their bodies blending into the darkness created by the eclipse. Given they had no electrical energy, and the only traces of spiritual energy came from the act of summoning them to this realm the only thing that allowed Lina to see them was the green dots of their eyes.
PostPosted: Thu Sep 22, 2011 9:38 pm

Lina stared at the sky, trying to focus her eyes. Something wasn't right about how hard the birds were so hard to see. She tilted her head to the side as she watched them approach. The fact that the eclipse started at the same time as these.. "What the heck are these things anyway, clones? Undead-Birds? Undead Cloned birds?" she blinked several times as the first birds started to dive at her.

"Oh well, guess that counts as hostile" she muttered before shouting "Ball Lightning Blitz" and throwing several rapidly formed, and very unstable Rai orbs at the birds.
