Alan slashed away at the minions surrounding Quin as he did whatever it was that he was doing. "Flamma tueri" He muttered and a shield made of flame appeared buckled to his arm. He rushed at a group of minions that were between him and his sword, burning those that got too close to him as he went. The sword had become a mere stick again, but this time when he picked it up he put oine end firmly back in the ground. The stick lengthened and thickened, growing what appeared to be arms. In moments Alan was sitting in the branches of a large animated oak tree that was picking up the puppets and squashing them like bugs. Every now and then Alan sent out a beam at a particularily stubborn enemy. He didnt see the three shadows coming up the tree behind him.

Following Alan's lead, Morgan made a target of the ones surrounding Quin quickly but carefully, then closed her eyes. Ki, a smoky sort of appearance this time, started to eminate from her and wrap around two of them. She ran up to the two it was on (the ki was taking her energy) and with a small knife that she usually carried was able to dispatch those two. She looked for more to repeat the process on.

"Protect your master, Servant of Shub-Niggurath, goat of a thousand young, discharge your duty upon this world." Looking around to the mass of pupperts and shadows that came towards them Quin watch in horror and amusement as with starteling speed the Shoggoth ripped through the on coming threats. Consuming them in its hellfires, snapping them apart with tenticles. It was chaotic to behold, a dreadful dance. "Old man, don't forget me so quickly." There was a madening gaze in his eyes. Something had snapped in his mind.

She was on a line of them, all charging towards her when she noticed the creature Quin had been able to produce. Something she would need to remeber for later, it was certainly no technique she had taught him. With another burst of ki she held a larger group, then moved in with her weapon again. If things got more intense she would have to make energy balls, even though throwing them was somewhat haphazard.

The shadows tackled him from behind and he fell from the tree. Since his body was on longer in contact with it it became a stick again. He tried shoting light through them again, but they had found some way to wrap around the light and dodge it. He was trapped under them and it was no fun. I refuse to die like this. He shot a bar of light around himself and when the shadows wrapped around it to dodge he rolled backwards and onto his feet next to Morgan. "Is it always this interesting around here?"

Levaticus turned to Quintilius, and carefully paced toward him, around away from the demon as far as he could distance himself. Perhpas upon the man's death- he brought the bar of light from around his sword out, it extending into a massive pillar again, this time letting it shoot outward toward Quintilius instead of swinging it at him, ignoring all the chaos around. "So you can control it, can you? But for how long? How long will it do your bidding, and what will the price be? It is foolish of you to think you could perfect such art on your own. This is where you will bring yourself down, should you live long enough. The only power one can use, is a power restrained! Something so open will crush it's master and prey alike, fool!" he snarled, as the bar of light grew out, crushing stone it brushed against as if a giant hammer struck all it touched. he spoke quietly after, a constant mumbling of spell, watching with hope of it killing the man, and perhaps banishing the creature upon it, and wrapping flames around his arm, readying to use them as well. All else he lost sight of, including the broken and discarding puppet peices pulling aside to the secondary puppeteers, where the next wave was already being created of their remains.

"And what price do you pay for your machinations?" He held his hands out as though he held gifts for which he did, a dagger with the bite of human flesh sweet on its blade and a flintlock waiting to tear through flesh and bone. Looming over Quin the Shoggoth rose as the object came towards Quin. Leaping over his head the object blunged into it. "You can't kill me so simply. You say so much about my undoing, but lo and behold, I have prepared most of my life for such an instance. Mad uncles whispering things in the dark as I slept, dreams upon worlds I can not venture into. A black book you fear to sign your name in. It is you that should fear, you have tasted of the power and it scared you. You have not fufilled your obligation to those beings." Quin watched as the weapon that was to strike him was consumed by this creature he had summoned. Then answering his question, "Long enough."

A fist came out of nowhere and caught Alan under the chin, sending him careening backwards. He landed right at Lavaticus' feet. Alan braced for another blow but none seem to come. Lavaticus seemed completely absorbed in watching Quin and the demon. He also seemed to be muttering a spell. Well we'll end that. Alan grabbed Lavaticus' foot and tugged hard, pulling him to the ground. He snatched a sharp rock from the ground and it became a knife. Pressing it against Lavaticus' throat he shouted at him. "Give!"

Levaticus stared up at the boy with blade to his throat, to the man with his demon, and the demon it's self. Cold fear filled him and a similair sweat stung his skin. He stared for a moment at the losing battle, and cried for help. "Talivar! Talivar, free me, we must make retreat!" He looked hopeful as a large machination, a monstrosity not on measure with the demon, but perhaps much of anything short there of, made of the twisted, melted, broken and bent limbs and peices of all the fallen puppets, a shapeless thing with innumerable arms, long masses tied together with large numbers along their blades, it no longer resembled anything as it stung out towards them, and the first arm came careening staight down toward Alan and the immobile Levaticus, long blade extended at it's end. The master puppet, holding the monstrosity together stood upon the roof opposite the bar, watching calmly. "Lord Keel has specified that regaining the silver demon is our top priority. If you can let yourself forget that, then you will forget all of the dreams soon, and the kingdom under such fickle leader ship would never stand again. You are no longer of use, master."

Alan rolled sideways away from the huge blade coming down towards him. He ran over to where the other two were standing and picked up his stick. The stick became a huge tree again and readied itself to do battle with the monstrous contraption. "I'm running out of energy. This cant go on much longer or I'll have to break out." The tree wrapped a branch around him and set him in the trough between two limbs where he could see and direct it.

Turning his head Quin looked over, "Talivar, it would seem I was right, this is only the first if you fail." Quin was having enough of this, his monstroucity Shoggoth attacked the arm, not showing any fear of pain as it lept upon the bladed arm. Its length contracted around the construct. Tightening its grasp, Quin could hear the different joints and metals scream and crack under the pressure. "Should we finish this Talivar?" Quin raised his gun and fired it at him, tearing through his abdomen.

The puppet crumbled like any other, falling apart and over the edge of the roof, landing in peices, and all it's stings attatched to went limp. That left only one, and a lack of puppets to control, with the mass of their remains now being destroyed. The second one would have to buy him time, with just keep them from moving, to let the demon protect them from another swarm of smaller puppets. This was no victory, but while that demon was an unknown factor, and as of yet could not be assessed as an oppurtunity nor as a danger for more than the immediate time. So, he would collect the item that was of importance for certain, and perhaps what he had seen could lead to better knowledge to make use of the Silver Demon. The second master puppet took it's hords to the bar, pulling it's self behind them from roof to roof, to watch from just a bit further behind. Meanwhile, back where he watched, Talivar would find his way to Richardo, and make certain he dealt well with Areberus. More failure could not be accepted by his lord.

"s**t ********!! REMY, FORTUNE, PERCY!! GET THE HELL OUT OF THERE!" Quin watched in horror as the building was attacked, they would be over wealmed with their inferior weapons. He heard the crash of firebombs being flung and saw them burst. Taking out puppets melting them down. He heard the gun shots that remained. The clash of steel on steel as they fought in close quarters. Quin couldn't risk going in yet he couldn't leave them there. Forgetting all safety he charged in, cutting what ever he could with his dagger while when his hand landed on a mass sending his ki through it with a blast. His body was getting cut, and it would bleed, shots where being fired and they crazed him.

The tree bashed the little puppets to bits as they came at it. Alan didnt even have to tell it what to do. The battle was simple now, just beat all the small enemies untill they were all gone. Alan checked himself over and looked at all the injuries, none of them were life threatening, though a few would need medical attention. He pulcked a few leaves off the tree and they became bandages which he wrapped around some of the easily available injuries.

There was a sudden blast at the base of the tree and it fell backwards, swinging its arms wildly. The tree rocked for a second and Alan fell backwards out of it. Losing contact with Alan's body made the tree a stick again and as Alan hit the ground he was swalowed by darkness.
