Spider-man had long ago learned not to jump if anybody said his name in costume, they weren't always talking to him and if they were then pretending like the name had no meaning could often shake their resolve.

Ghost Rider released the creature, and got back on his bike. He had business elsewhere. He intended to finish it. He needed to go back, now. He did just that, changing back into Danny as he did.

Mary paused and stared at him a moment. She...really didn't know what to think at this point. Her eyes soon went back to her Peter, who was still out cold. "Is he alright?"

Peter nodded "He has a pulse, that stuff used to put me out for an hour or so though, so he may take a whille to come around." Spider-man paused. "Do you know him?"

"I have no idea who this 'Superman' is," replied Fury, who was surprisingly calm; he'd fought in two wars, and had been the director of S.H.I.E.L.D., and pretty much didn't scare anymore. "He's not a superhuman from my Universe, if the name implication is correct and he IS, in fact, a superhuman."

"You are," the creature snarled, "Useless." We should kill him. He was going to experiment on us. Wait... how did we come to that conclusion, again? He had us in a medical facility, and we were strapped down. What more do we need to know? ... A lot, actually. We're on a helicarrier, right? So... Maybe that was just to hold us in place. Like... for safety? We have no time for this foolishness. The creature's free hand drew back, the fingertips simultaneously sharpening into gleaming blue-black points. CUT IT OUT! The hand froze. And why should we? This man-- We have no idea who this person is. We will NOT kill him. GOT IT? Let's go find Superman. He's the one who's really pissed us off. ... Fine. The next moment, the symbiote infested girl was just... gone.

Fury landed on the deck of the failing Helicarrier, and said to Ice Dragon, "Let's go!" He started to run as fast as safely possible through the vehicle, onto the flight deck, and behind the controls of a helicopter.

Ice Dragon took off to follow after him. She could probably just as easily fly off the vessle, but she wanted to make sure he got off safely.

"Because he honestly thinks Latin books on magic are..." Cat trailed off, staring up with wide, shocked eyes. "... Interesting." Above New York was a flaming... something. It was huge, and it was on fire, and it was falling apart. After a second, she realized that it was a SHIELD helicarrier. It looked like it was listing off to the side, so it was probably going to miss the city, but... still. After a second, she turned to look at Danny, her expression one of utter disbelief. "... I thought you said you FIXED everything!"

Danny looked in disbelief. "Wasn't happening when I left. Besides, I can do a lot of things. Fixing a Helicarrier, or even guiding it as it falls, don't fall in the list of the things I can do."
