So, we have a 3rd volunteer to host the 2010 MiniCon. heart
Child of Horus volunteered to host up in Seattle.
Which adds to me in Chicago and Skillzy in the Mitten. 3nodding

I know Bones is from Wisconsin..... ninja
But she hasn't been on Gaia in a while. xp
Well actually, I do have a condo in Madison.... ninja
But it'll probably be sold by next July. xp
One of my Xenite friends has a cabin in Wisconsin.... ninja
But that place is about 1 hour from me and 6 hours from you and Pez doesn't want to see her anyways. xp
You can rent house boats along the Wisconsin River..... ninja
But that's too expensive. xp
But I did find this great motelish place in Bayfield. And they've got big apartment type places that are for 8-12 people, and they've got big decks right over the lake, and all kinds of cool stuff, and it's the sweetest little harbor town, and they're only $100 a night, which is a damn good deal, especially when divied up among 12 people....... ninja
But I still don't know if we could afford it. xp
Then again, if we got 12 people, 3 nights would only be $25 per person. And we'd have a whole place, with bedrooms and a kitchen, and a deck, (and one of them has a hot tub), all to ourselves for a weekend. 3nodding And Bayfield is right in between you and me. blaugh

Well, we had 4 the 1st year and 7 the 2nd year, despite losing one person from the 1st year. So there are 8 people who have been to previous MiniCon's. Plus I have 2-4 new people, that might go to next years con. Plus the chance of other guild members. I think we can get 12 easy. 3nodding

Well, I'm driving up to Michigan over winter break to hang with the Mitten Crew for a weekend.
But most of us don't have the time or the money to see each other very often.
Granted, more than half of the active members live in the upper midwest. But it's still tough, ya know. xp
I'd like to organize more stuff though. cry

Pff, another west coaster. xp But I guess that's a good thing. 3nodding The more people we have out west, the easier it is to start a carpool to the MiniCon and the more likely it is that the MiniCon will be out that way, eventually. In fact, California was even mentioned as a possibility this year. whee
In the meantime, you guys could have a MiniCon of your own. 3nodding
