Xenon swatted four leaves as they drifted by him on his way back up the tree, his mind was still fresh with the words of the story as though the book was once again before his eyes...
The second being spurned the Vampire however, his method was crude and hasty, the work of an animal. This being spouted wings from their back, flying up the heights and kindly asking the sun for it's permission to take a star. The sun was pleased with this show of manners, and thus gave the second its blessing. The second descended from on high it's wings fluttering gently. The gods too granted this it's desire, all the gifts given to the Vampire, save none of his weakness or shortcomings... this being, in it's benevolence...was deemed Angel.

Xenon struck and landed, yet again successful... still it was on pure speed and instinct...for his mind was still on the words... the same words he'd read so long ago...and many times after...
The third being scoffed at the angel, and called the vampire weak. They were foolish and simple, holding foolish notions in their pathetic heads. The third laughed at them until at last he explained that they were trying to hard, that they in the idocy couldn't see they didn't have to work at all.
The third being gathered to him many others, and with cruelty and betrayal, with the crack of the whip and harsh slap of the hand forced them to build him a tower up the sky, then carry him to the top. There he used his smooth lies to convince the sun that since this tower was still attached to the ground he was not intruding upon his sovereignty. He took the star himself, claiming all the credit for the act, and was granted all the powers of the previous two, using them to revel in his own wickedness... the third, in his malevolence, was called Devil.

When Ito closed his eyes and tried preforming the hand signs he messed up. With his eyes closed it was much more difficult than he anticipated. He only messed up slightly but it bothered Ito. He slowed down a bit then tried closing his eyes again, and continued training determined to learn the Shadow clone justu. "COME ON!" He yelled as he messed up again.

He had miscalculated the wind that time... it seemed one couldn't get by on instinct alone, but he'd already known that... still, despite the knowledge he didn't find himself able to wash away the words... they were like a chain running through his mind.. once began, the story would finish.
All the gods were amused by these creatures and there wishes. They thought themselves great when still they were so small... let them have their wishes... they would never come close to their divine existence.
Below the three others laughed at the fourth. The fourth had stood there unmoving, his face turned upward towards the sky but never taking action. The Vampire called him cowardly prey, the Angel called him a poor child, and the Devil called him a weak minded slave...

Ito got the pattern down pat again this time with his eyes closed and going faster than normal. He only needed to practice a few more time he thought. This time he sped up his pace about 1 second from before. Ito said to himself "Come on Ito you can do this, you HAVE to do this. It is your dream to be a ninja. What Ninja can not make a clone?" Ito focused again and started his training procedure again.

Again Xenon was up to standard, his efforts going uncelebrated as he moved back toward the tree...
And so it was that the fourth figure was looked down upon, pitied, and scorned... yet all three beings stopped their speech as the he stood, a smile on his face.
"Fools." He said spreading his arms. "You mock what you clearly do not understand, you would steal the stars from the heavens to trade for wishes?" the fourth laughed "You have obtained nothing,and lost everything, I shall get a star from the heavens, but I need not steal it!" he raised a hand to heavens "For I am all things, I am wise man, I am fool, am I destroyer, I am creator, I murderer, I am savior, I am selfish, I am selfless, I am nothing, I am everything, my life may end, but I shall never die." with a command from this fourth the star he desired fell from the sky, only to be caught by him. "I cannot steal a star because all the stars in the heaven belong to me!"

Ito was now doing really well with the speed of the hand signs. He was now going to try even faster speed then originally. If he could do this he would now be able to move onto what he called phase 2 of the justu. He was now going to try the hand signs at the fastest pace he could do. This time he concentrated his chakra so thatway he could get that down as well. He was so close to the Shadow Clone Jutsu that he could almost feel him self making multiple copies of him self. "Here goes nothing." Said Ito in an excited tone.

He'd missed one again... he blinked, taking it in stride... he was still sore from yesterday after all...but still... so long as he kept pushing he would reach his goal... as they said, he who wishes to find need only seek.
The other three looked astounded at this feet and angry at his his arrogance, yet still the voices of the gods asked him for his wish...and he smirked toward the heavens. "You dare to ask me to plead for a wish?" he held the star aloft "I have no need for such things. I am all things and all things are me, I have power beyond all that you could offer, an immortality you cannot grant!" He grinned at the gods and swallowed the star, declaring to all the world "I am all things, and in my world, I am god."

He now sat down beside his coat, swatting leaves as they drifted down. His mind wasn't on his work right now...and while he wanted to improve his instincts, he still needed his mind on the task at hand as well.... he waited for the story to play out in his mind...
With the fourth's word's the oceans rumbled, the forests shook, the mountains trembled and the god's died. Swept away to were the three others, brushed aside into the abyss as the fourth alone stood, his rule unchallenged, and his sovereignty eternal. They called this fourth... Human.
Xenon's eyes were closed. That story always really spoke to him...it made so much sense... and it was right up his alley. He got back onto his feet and took a handful of leaves... now... onto business...

Xenon whirled about his hands flicking about as he fell, seven of all but one of the target struck twice. His feet touched down and he buckled his knee's briefly before taking back up the trunk.
Human's... the one's who swallowed the star, rather than trade it for a wish... because they already were all they could wish for... at the back of his mind, Xen liked to think that this was a true story, and the star swallowed long ago by the first human still burned within them all...in the form of chakra...in the form of the soul.
He knew it was nonsense of course... but still... it was an interesting notion in it's own way.

Xenon was looking up at the blue sky... after his successful run, he'd climbed higher than normal... his feet supporting him with chakra as he stood at a horizontal. He crossed his arms. There were somethings one never really noted consciously. For example, when was the last time he'd seen a blue sky like this had he ever? Were any two skies truly the same. A man could spend his entire life...and never answer that question. He could dedicate his existence, memorizing each sky, and perhaps never really get an answer... then again... a man could easily imagine a world were the sky was the same every day, where such an answer was unnecessary.
Xenon smiled strangely. Yes...this world was outside human's element... they were birds in the depths of the ocean. They'd somehow found a way to exist but...

But... they could not fly or breath air as they were meant. They could merely swim in a some empty imitation of their true destiny, only able to glimpse the heavens they were meant to rule through the haze of the water's surface.
Striking two of his quarry a second time with single finger, Xenon stood beneath the tree, after yet another successful round. He stared into the distance at nothing in particular. 'Hm, but in this world we are...and we should probably make the best of it. Besides...' he smirked "One way or another.. those of us to who seek it will one day return to the sky..."

As Xenon ran through the ever familiar motions, his body was honing itself, adapting to it's changed routine and changing itself to befit it. Xenon had to admit, despite the repetitive nature of the training, he enjoyed it. He enjoyed the rush of the wind, the flashing of his limbs to strike the precise targets, enjoyed the brief rush of adrenaline when he succeeded, even the calm he forced upon him self after he landed. He liked walking up the tree, and he even was enjoying the weather. Come to think of it, there was little about training he didn't like, the thrill of mastering a new jutsu, the pride and witnessing his increased prowess... he had to admit that it was definitely some source of....fun, for him.

Xenon flipped about, striking three leaves a second time before landing picturesque on the grass about the tree. He was once more on the verge of improvement... this phase of his training nearing Eighty Percent completion. Just a little more... he made his way up the tree but stopped by his coat, taking a drink from the water in one of the pockets. He savored the cold as it splashed down his throat and let out a refreshed sigh. 'I wonder how Momoe-san is doing?' he set the water back inside the pocket of his coat. 'She's probably completed one of the two jutsu by now...all she has to do after that final one is train as I am now...'
"I don't need your help any way."
Xen gave an amused laugh "Ahh that girl...so funny." he flipped backward around the branch until he set foot on the branch below, his feet sticking to it with with the tell tale hum of chakra. Next set...
