Devlin then spun with his wings around him, escaping from Cyrus's grasp. He sliced with his sword at Cyrus then fell back and disapeard into a black portal that he created as he laughed.He then appeared behind patches as an poretal opened up and Devlin comes walking out .
"Hmm..this should be interesting"
He then crossed his arms as he watched what patches was really made of but ready if jump in if it gets to serious.

"A fever?!" Dusk shrugged. He didn't understand this at all. But this was the first major healing he'd ever witnessed so he decided if Jaden was happy, which strangely seemed to be, then he hadn't got much to worry about.
He kept Jaden held down, and tried to decide a furthur course of action once Jaden was back up and under repair.
He knew what Jaden would do if left unawares. He race into yet another battle and get himself completely slaughtered. Dusk wasn't about to let that happen, but he was busy enough as it was and couldn't watch Jaden day and night.
Somehow, Dusk's mind wandered back to Adel. he'd not seen the kid in a while and wondered how she was doing. Then suddenly it hit him. It was brilliant, the perfect way to keep Jaden under wraps. Might even be good for his temper! He decided to tell him now, whilst he was still in "Happy Tree Friend" mode.
"Jaden, I've got an important mission for you. When you're all healed, I'm going to put you in charge of protecting a Lycan, Ms. Adel Smith. She's a youngling so she needs some back-up. She also needs to be taught some defence. Think you can do that?"

Jaden tilted his head and looked at Dusk with a semi-stunned expression. "Sure. Body guard. I can do that." he said but then a knowing grin spread across his face. "Is she cute?" he asked before dissolving into giggles. "I'm sorry, I think it's the massive blood loss."

Cyrus stood there with his sword drawn. As he got into battle stance his sword released a bright shimmer, starting from the bottom and heading towards the top. When it reached the top there was a spark and a soft noise.

Patches strafed left, unloading both guns then picking up speed. Before the slugs had even traveled a yard she was neatly back on top of the roof, smiling. She waited for the bullets to finish their journey towards Cyrus.

"oh no you did....." mortis said "you know what this is done!!" he said as he lunged after patches he grasped at her arms in an attempt to pin her to the ground as they stumbled to the ground.

By this time Myyth had mostly delt wth Jaden's wounds. Many of them had healed entirely, although there was still a good deal of bruising she'd left to heal normally. The deep muscle damage she'd healed completely as she doubted he was going to lay around long enough for it to fix itself properly. After a last quick run through of his vitals Myyth was quite satisfied with the results. Lowering the fever a bit, she left it in place to dissipate in a couple hours on its own.
With a last nudge to his mind, she told him she was done before pulling out. Once shewas back intoherself the first thig she felt as pronounced exhaustion, along with an ache just behind her eyes. Blinking a bit and loking around she noticed Omki had come back and she gave him a warm smile before looking over at Dusk.
"Jaden should be fine. I've left the fever in place to deal with anything that got into his wounds, but it'll be down in 5 or 6 hours." Looking back at Jaden she wondered if she should bother to tell him to take it easy, but since the prospect of saying "I told you so" was rather appealing she did.
Making eye contact with Jaden she had to wodner why he was so giddy. Bloodloss maybe, or the sedative. She wasn't going to worry about it.
"I need you to take it easy for at least a couple days. If I have to do this again this week......"

"You could have grave consequences." Jaden said sarcastically sitting up for the first time and wincing. "Yeah, I know." he said smiling kindly at her. "Don't worry about me to much, I heal incredably fast it was just this time most of the stuff was self inflicted."
He leaned back, needing to support himself with his arms to remain up and the five sapphire shards made a soft tinkling sound as his paw shifted over them. As he lifted his paw up Jaden looked at them and scowled.

He grinned.
"You know what, she's very cute," He chuckled, "So you'd better look after her, ok?"
He turned and nodded to Myyth.
"Well done, that was amazing... Are you ok?" He asked, concerned.

Myyth raised an eyebrow slighty before waving her hands vaguely in the shards direction. "I hope you have a better idea of what those are than I do." she said, as she began to mentally sort though what she did know about stones and their uses. Which wasn't much, other than the use of wards and anchors.

"Yeah...." Jaden said vacantly. Why couldn't he remember what he had been doing? It was probabley the rune magic, it had screwed up his short term memory. Whatever had happened he was sure that these shards had something to do with it. "I'm fine." he said looking up and smiling. "Where is this girl anyway?"

He smiled and patted his shoulder.

Looking over at Dusk she nodded and pushed her air out of her face and over her ears. She felt a bit drained, but was other wise o.k. "I'm fine, although you should all try to avoid situations that make me do that. I'm bloodly horrible at it, which is why it took so long." Going over to the fridge, she carefully walked around what blood had gotten onto the floor.
"My first teacher was brilliant at it. He could have delt with you in a few seconds, and done a dozen more before the day was over and still be walking." Ruefully another part of her reminded her he was the main reson Theodora had needed to mess with her brain a couple years before.
Opening the fridge she got aout a bottle of water and looked up to see if anyone else wanted anything.

He shook his head to her offer.
"Sounds like quite a guy..." He said softly, grabbing a mop he'd noticed in the corner. He swept the blood from the floor and washed it off.
