he sighed and got up from the couch. he walked down into the basement and looked around. "hey! whats going on down here?"

"I didn't do anything!" was all that could be heard from the basement and Mari gave a small growl. She then looked at Raine and smiled. "Is there anything that you need to talk about while your dad is busy dealing with Cyan?"

she sat down and let out a small sigh. "i dunno. i'm just kinda happy. he's a good guy."

She smiled and nodded. "He is very nice and I'm just happy to see that you have a friend." She wrapped her arms around her daughter and hugged her, while playing with her hair a bit.

she nodded and held onto her. "i know mom."
downstairs there was a sound of a fire extiguisher being used to douce out a small fire. "damnit cyan!"

Cyan was coughing from the smoke and reached into his pocket for his inhaler and used it. Once he got his breath back, he put the inhaler in his pocket and went over to the window. Even though it was a basement, there was a small window near the ceiling that could be opened so the smoke could escape.

he let out a sigh and got the fire out. he looked at him and had a stern look on his face. "you have got to be more careful. you could have gotten hurt cyan."

He pulled up the goggles he was wearing and rested them on the top of his head. His face was covered with suit except for around his eyes where the goggles were and he coughed a bit more. "I didn't know that it would explode. Give me a break." He then pounded his chest a bit and let out a few more coughs before seeming to be alright.

he crossed his arms and still looked at him sternly. "we can't keep having stuff like this happening. i'm all for you doing what you want to do but still, i get worried about you."

"Dad, chill. I'm fine. See. No missing limbs." He held up his arms and shook them a bit, then switching the leg he was standing on to give both of his legs a shake. He then walked over to the table that was covered in foam from the extinguisher and dug through the mess to try to find what he was working on.

he walked up behind him and placed his hand on his shoulder. "i know son but i think you should call it a night. i doubt your mother could handle any more events."

He pulled out the hunk of metal that was covered in foam and started shaking it trying to get a majority of it off. "She's fine. She didn't have to come down here and take care of it."
