Well Arthur had started to eat his food, some ham, some cheese and a bit of bread that's all he wanted for now plus a little bit of wine, he hadn't had that much since a few weeks ago when Zahara decided to come over before he ate and the bottle of wine he had with him was almost finished when day break came. So after taking a sip of his drink he set the cup down onto the table and looked over at Zahara, the thoughts he had tried to quell were starting to surface again but he did his best to not think about it at all. "Nothing really, I just felt a little bored while at home, yeah I could of trained or read a book but it would of been the same thing like yesterday so I decided to come here." A simple answer for a simple question, and he went back to eating his light snack, his stomach still wanting the rest of the food.

That wasn't much of an answer now was it? But then it hadn't really been that much of a question. She tucked that unruly piece of hair behind her ear and nodded. "I thought that might happen, usually does when I'm home alone. If Sevilin and Zykariel are off doing something and I have nothing to do I usually come see you or come here just to combat the boredom. It's amazing how slowly time goes when you're all alone." And hten she went right back to her list, muttering something briefly under her breath. He didn't seem upset anymore so she had to attribute his earlier attitude to the stomachache adn apparently her potion had done it's job and rid him of his surliness. Surface elves, sometimes they were so silly.

Arthur nodded lightly at the drow comment since he had his mouth full of food, boredom does strike when one is home alone and they got nothing better to do. After finishing what he had in his mouth Arthur took a sip of his wine and set the cup down near his plate, the thoughts in his head kept on passing by in his mind everytime he looked at Zahara, should he asked her if she did sleep with the man? No that would be too blunt and what if he was wrong about all of it? He would look like a jealous man who would want her all for himself so he had to find another way to ask her. "Hey I was wondering why was it taking you so long at Nadai place? I thought you would come over to my place after ten to fifteen minutes to get your zephmare but it was over an hour or more when you came by."

Her gaze slowly lifted scanned over his face, taking in the eye patch and his one serious eye. He really wanted an answer to this didn't he? She scoffed, "It was probably a lot longer than that. Two or three hours at least." She tapped her pen on the notepad she was using to scribe her list and then shrugged. "Business really. I was fulfilling the aspects of the trade, a meal and company. Why?"

Arthur waited in silence as he watched Zahara, his eye now in a serious gaze as he hoped she would answer truthfully. Though when she told him the time difference he thought about it over in his head and realized she was right, it was that long wasn't? Though when she asked him a question in return Arthur shifted a little in his seat and rested both his hands on the table. "Well you came to my door you looked like you were put through a lot of manual labor to get that nightmare that's why." Well he had a right to ask and his comment wasn't ment in any sexual way, besides she never told him what had happened back at the drow place when she came over to pick up the zephymare.

She studied him for a moment, her brow furrowing and watched him. That was an odd way to phrase that question now wasn't it? "You could definitely say that." After all they hadn't set down what 'company' entailed when Arthur was in hearing, that had been discussed behind closed doors. Following his line of questioning with her mind she raised an eyebrow as a sudden thought dawned her. Speaking rather slowly she began, "Arthur, obviously you are trying to ask me something but you refuse to come right out and ask. Why are you afraid to ask me if you want to know? I can't really answer your question if I don't know what it is, now can I?"

Arthur could feel Zahara's eyes watching him, her mind was going over the question he had asked her and just gave him a simple answer which didn't really settle his him that she slept with the drow. Though after a moment Zahara turned around and began to ask him a question, one that he couldn’t back out from answering with the total truth, great that's exactly what he needed and now if he tried to do something to steer away from the question it would make things more difficult. "Well with the way things were when you came to my house I thought that..." He paused for a moment to look at her for a second then looked down at the table. "I thought you slept with Nadai." There the truth was out and now it would be up to Zahara if she wanted to get mad at him.

She waited a beat to see if he had anything else to say and then shook her head. "Why didn't you just ask me? No, I didn't sleep with Nadai. I did however become well versed in combat once again and that's why I came back looking the way I did. Not that it really matters though." She went back to her list and started writing once again as though it was of no great importance to her. "Anything else?"

Arthur blinked a few times, so she didn't care about him thinking that she was sleeping with someone? Wow that took a whole load off his mind, but still a little bit of it nagged in the back of his mind. But Zahara was telling the truth, there were no signs of her lying to him at all she just said what they did with no hesitation. Well just maybe Arthur could put all of those thoughts out of his mind over sometime. "I didn't ask you straight up because to most people it would be angry if someone asks them that, and I would be accusing of sleeping with someone else because I felt threaten that he would replace me." Arthur said that looking downwards, basically he just told her that he was jealous of that other drow and now he felt like a fool. "No there is nothing else." He said with a soft sigh as he leaned back in his chair with a small grunt.

Onyx took the bottle back without a question, and only shook his head lightly.

"He's arrogant, overconfidant, and quite frankly, I hate him. I've seen what alcohol can do to a person, and I am now where in the realm of being a boozer or a drunk. It insults me, it insults my mother, adn it insults my father to think that they wouldn't raise me well enough to become something so wretched. And while I may hold little love for my father most times, my mother is an entirely different story."

Though his attention turned to Moonstone and..well. that wasn't another Vah. but looked like the same general lineage. interesting.

"Just being around him make me want to tear into him, because apparently insulting me is alright, but backing it up is 'against thier honor'."

A slight growl there.

"Or maybe it's just genetic cat/dog aggression. I don't know."

Malik nodded lightly.

"At least we're here to give him that. So now we just get to wait and see, right?"

A moment's pause.

"Think Sevilin will have them train together in these arts, or do you think he'll have him studying runecraft?"

The necromancer reguarded Malikhai a moment, then ZyKariel.

"My powers are ones of life and death. bending and distorting that fine line. I can bring forth the dead to unlife, I can trap the soul and great from the unliving life."

And just to show, he opened a pouch a drew a single shard of bone.

"Fron this, I cna create a body. an obediant guardian, an undead assassin, an ethereal mage. I can poison the flesh, wrack it with disease..and I can drain the life of my enemy to heal my own injuries. I can inspire fear in even the bravest souls, and ensare them in place by weaking thier muscles so they can't move."

A kneel down to eye level with them both.

"I can see through the eyes of the dead. talk to thier souls, learn from them the wisdom of ages past and things long forgotten to others. I can even bind my sight to one of my undead pets, and speak through them as well. I can effectively go places outside these walls and never in body leave my chair."

Oh yes she was keeping a right sharp eye on that necromancer...she was probably looking for a screw up too. Yup, wasn't going to be letting it go anytime soon. She deserved to be listened to damn it and some cocky necromancer wasn't going to undermind her authority. But for now she at least tried to no appear in that mindset about it. "Patience is a blessing to us..." Shaking her head lightly before looking back to her husband. "Perhaps both? Sevilin's a well rounded mage himself, so I don't see why he wouldn't want Zykariel studying both. One will just take longer to learn."

Oh yes, mother had wonderful ideas sometimes, letting him take Zykariel with him, his friend taking up more defensive gesturings. Zykariel always looked out for him, even when he didn't need it sometimes, but it was nice to know he had someone to team up with if need be. So his attention to the necromancer, tilting his head back so he could look up at him as he listened. But as he listened his head slowly tilted to the side somewhat giving a slow blink or two, his head righting as the tier'dal moved down to thier level. Hey, the neck felt better!

And he squinted an eye. "Why does it all have to be bad?" Because things like disease and death and undead things, body snatching, stealing, draining, all those kinds of things he had learned were 'bad' when they were used maliciously. Of course he didn't know the difference between commonplace practice and malicious...but this guy made it all sound like it was something bad that was going to happen to someone else.

Zykariel was less than impressed as the necromancer went on and this time he really did cross his arms and regard the necromancer with that gaze he'd gotten from Sevilin. "My dad can do all of that too and he doesn't use scary things to do it." Turning to Malikhai he shook his head and whispered, "I don't like him too much. Maybe we should talk to one of the others." He seemed really proud of something that Zykariel had seen his father do with one finger. It didn't seem like that big of a deal to him. Besides he just sounded mean...and his voice was weird too.

"That's just silly, Arthur. Why would I replace you? No one can replace you." She shook her head, surface elf mentality made no sense to her sometimes. How could one replace another when all were different? "don't be afraid to ask me anything. If I don't like the question I won't answer. And don't be afraid to answer anything either. If I don't like your answer, I'll just kill you." She waited a beat and then smiled. "Just kidding."

Arthur blushed a little bit and a small smile appeared on his face, it made him feel a lot better to hear Zahara say that; and the bonus was he could always ask her something that was on his mind, gotta love those drow ways sometimes. Though of course when Zahara said she would kill him if she never liked his answer to her questions that made Arthur's head snap up with the look of. 'Are you kidding me?' But the smile on her face calmed that side of him down. "Oh alright then." He chuckled lightly and smiled, it seemed he would be able to put all of this behind him after all.

"Well..my magic is more in the offensive vein. the power I wield is designed to be used to destroy or disable those that would seek to harm myself. but, using things like poison nad disease, also means I know the cures and remedies. and raising the dead, or constructing golems, is not bad. Please don't consider it so easily in the negative like most surface elves."

Potshot, yeah. then looking to Zykariel.

"and what have you seen your father do, exactly? I know Sevilin doesn't commune with the dead."

that was a curiosity.

"but also, it's a way to learn. how woudl you like to know, for example, about a real hero or villian. or be able to hear firsthand about a battle fought centuries ago. wisdom and knowledge can be found in those long past on. I can talk to the spirits of great warriors, powerful mages..and also dedicated craftsmen and teachers that have passed beyond the mortal realm."

Hmm. then a little bit of a grin, putting away the bonechip he'd been rolling aroudn on teh back of his knuckles.

"How about this for a example of 'good' necromancy. there will come a day, that your griffon pet, Ashlyn, passes on. Wouldn't you like to be able to have her back, give her a new, young body..or maybe even a more..elvish body..so she can continues to be able to play with you and you be with her? This is a power of Necromancy."

The other three where waiting patiently, but the occassional 'okay, let them talk to us' look got thrown his way.

Malik nodded lightly.

"But Runing requires great physical strength and stamina. I've been trained for decades in the military, and it still took a heavy toll on me when I tried it. He may opt for his son to study his runes nad training him in physical endurance over a different magical school."

"Rune mages learn to train thier bodies in a much different way though A'mael. It's not the same. And if you sat down with Sevilin and let him teach you how, you could handle it better yourself, not that I'm encouraging it." She liked her Malik jsut the way he was. What, was that a barb at her? Surface elf thinking...oh he was pushing it and pushing it bad. Someone get her her bow...he was going to accidently on purpose get an arrow between his eyes. More pointedly saying that to a child who knew he was half surface elf.

Another squint. What was that about surface elves thinking funny? He was a surface elf kinda, was he saying his thinking was funny? Though yes one could see his little brain thinking of fantastic first hand tales that could oh so easily be translated into games and what now. Though at the mention of something happening to Ashlyn, oh that pissy Malik look he got from his father surfaced and silvery grey eyes narrowed. "Nothing is going to happen to Ashlyn!" He was no longer happy.

And Piper's look snapped to Malik and she crossed her arms, tapping her fingers on one arm. "Telling the toddler his pet is going to die, you do hear this?" No, not happy at all, that tone flat and practically venom filled. Oh just let her catch him alone and with a sharp object in hand. Scratch that she would go down to that basement looking for him. See? That viciousness she had learned from Malik herself did come in handy indeed.

Wasn't the little pissy almost about to have a tantrum look cute? Maybe to anyone but the person about to face the tantrum. But a look back to his parents, he said he was going to be good and try his best. And thus in also rather Malik like fashion he merely broke eye contact and turned to his friend, more or less ignoring the tier'dal right now. "We need to talk to the others too, daddy said so."
