It matched his acting talents, none nessessary. It was crap. The original was so much better.

For real, have there EVEr been a remake of a film that was BETTER than the original?
Not even I am Legend topped The Omega Man. and Omega Man was cheesy as month old nachos.

You forgot about the Last Man on Earth, came out before Omega Man, and all three were based on the book, I am Legend. I can think of only three better remakes off the top of my head, the 78 remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers and The Thing by John Carpenter and Brewster's Millions with Richard Pryor.

Thought of four more, Cape Fear with De Niro, The Fly even though the original was badass and had my boy Price in it, Scarface with Pachino, and Sweeney Todd but not the Johnny Depp one, the miniseries that had Ben Kingsley as Sweeney.

I had no idea some of these were remakes. The Thing, really? Scarface too? That I think I would get slapped if I told people that was a remake. You're talking about Vincent Price? Just like The Last Man On Earth, why is he awesome?
The Johnny Depp, Sweeney Todd, was too grim anyway. It scares me thinking what Tim Burton would do if he wasn't making movies...
