*Keeva's ramen gets placed near her, but she ignores it* Ah... the past. *grimaces, shakes head* If you dig up the past, all you get is dirty sometimes. *pause* Anything in specific you're thinking about??

Yashamaru fell silent again as he sighed heavily. He let the chair fall back onto all for legs, and he leaned on the table a bit. "..." He swallowed hard before he said one word, "... Hotarubi..." Then went quiet again.

"... Hotarubi was a woman from my original village... I was supposed to marry her..." Yashamaru sighed heavily. They never did get married since she died in a war.

*Keeva's eyes sadden, the ramen totally forgotten* I'm sorry Yashamaru... *looks away for a moment, thinking back on her own troubled love-life* What was she like??

"... Hotarubi was a petite and slender young woman with straight dark hair that drapes to just below her shoulders... She really did care for me, and if there was even the suggestion that I'd come to harm was enough to send her into a feral rage..." Yashamaru explained with a small laugh as he looked up at the sky. 'I believe thats what caused her to die...' He thought with a heavy sigh.

*laughs, rather uncharacteristicly for Keeva* She sounded like a definete winner. So... *laughter dies off* What happened to Hotarubi??

Yashamaru sighed ehavily again as he closed his eyes for a moment. "... She died..." He said softly as he shifted in his seat.

Yashamaru nodded a bit. "Both herself and I were chosen to be part of the war... You see, only five or ten shinobi from each clan were allowed to fight in this war..." He explained. He leaned back in his chair again, rocking it a bit. "After everything was over, I took on the life of an assassin..."

"Idatamasu!!!" Kinryu had his own thoughts on his mind as he listened to Yashamaru. When he got to about halfway done with his ramen he put his chopsticks down and looked at Yashamaru, he sighed "...you know you should truely eat something..." He looked at the chef "Hey get my friend some rice balls...oh and put plum or fish in the middle"
When the chef came back he handed the plate off to Yashamaru. Kinryu looked up at the sky "...you know its said that the better the rice balls are made the more healling they are supposed to be???" Then Kinryu leaned forward and continued eating.

Keeva raised her head, a look of understanding crosses her face, which was also very out of the ordinary. She usually didn't show so much emotion, but now... "I see... so, the life of an assassin for hire?? Sounds like a hard life you've chosen, my friend." Even Keeva surprised herself, calling an almost total stranger a friend. But, times were changing, and her life had been turned upside down... she needed someone to trust.

Yashamaru looked at Kinryu, then down at the rice balls that were brought out. He blinekd a few times before he started to mess with his sleeve. After a moment, his left hand was actually visable, though just barely. "I took on the assassin life style as a way to... pay off my debt to Hotarubi... I've always felt that her death was my fault..." He sighed before he took a bite out of the rice ball. He closed his eyes for a moment, thinking again.
