Midori was gaining a great momentum of the reading and before she new it she was done the first book. She sighed with relief because she had finally finished the book. She got up and handed the sensei the book she just finished and grabbed the other and sat down.

The inquisitive boy was nearing the end of his training and that seemed to spur the fire in him more. His momentum was rolling now after taking a few minutes with the monkey seal. Then acquiring the rooster on his first try was enough to keep his ignition going.

The eleventh seal was the dog, Inu, that ruled over September and West-Northwest. His lime eyes instantly picked up that this sign was very similar to the monkey hand sign. Just a fist this time and both hands in the same vertical line. The right hand folded into almost a fist. The other hand, flat over the fist. It was easier for him because of his practice with the monkey seal. Within a few seconds eleventh sign was accomplished and his hands were turning to the last page.

The final seal. The last hand sign. The end to this training. Number twelve would be the boar, I. The hog seal resided over North-Northwest and October. A brutish seal that had the user putting his wrists in an odd position with both hands balled. The fingers would be touching and the knuckles would be out. As much of a pain it would be to the bones in one's wrists, Kiketsu continued still keeping his momentum. He didn't want to stop again.

His eye took a glance at the page for only a second. In that instant his mind had already calculated every angle his fingers would need to be in for a stellar performance. It was no surprise he attained his victory on the first try.

Returning the skinny text to Cassie, Kiketsu gave a slight glance outside. As much as his mind gave his task undivided attention, the boy did manage to catch a glimpse of his peer. He had finished first again and jumped out into the water swimming. As of now the boy was spouting water like some type of whale while doing a back stroke. As interesting as that was.... Kiketsu only gave him mild attention. His observations was on what the teacher did. She easily created a clone out of water to supervise the boy. Now as fun swimming is, Kiketsu would rather have more fun making a doppleganger of himself out of a brook.

"Sensei, what type of training do I need to commence to create a clone of water?" his voice asked still paying more attention to the mirror image rather than the real woman behind him.

"Yes, of course," Cassie said to Hiru with a nod. "I'll get a clone to call you back when everyone's done." She really liked Hiru, his earnestness and perseverance had really won her over. It was still too early to form an opinion on Midori and Batosai, but she liked Kiketsu too. His voracious appetite for knowledge reminded her of Batou... Speaking of Batou, she should probably visit him to catch up after this. And ask him about the academy sensei while she was at it... Cassie hopped back on the table. She noticed that Midori was finished with the first book as well, which was good because class was progressing swimmingly. She sat on the table and waited, always open for any questions.

"Thank you Cassie-sensei!", Hiru cheered jumping out the window. Using the front door would have apparently taken far too long.

He ran towards the river as fast as he could, thrilled training could be fun for once!

Hiru arrived at his destination in a few seconds. Before actually jumping in, he stopped, turned around towards the academy and yelled from the top of his lungs:

"CASSIE-SENSEI!! WHAT DO I DO NOW?"

Cassie blinked at his enthusiasm as he disappeared in front of her eyes, through the window. Walking over to the window she saw in reappear near the river. With a small, 'boys will be boys' smile she did the hand seal and made a clone, who she immediately sent to the river.

"The current's pretty strong today,"
she remarked. "You can do anything you'd like. Swimming... the breaststroke for endurance, the butterfly for strength. You have to fight against the current but that will make you stronger."

Hiru cheered as he dove into the water.

"Now this is going to be A LOT of fun!", he thought.

The water eased the pain in his fingers and knuckles fomr seal training. Hiru was never as peaceful and well as when he was surrounded by pure, cold water. He let himself go with the current for a few seconds, just so he could keep an eye on the academy. He gathered his strength for a first push up the river!

Hiru was swept back by the current, for once he didn't fail completely frustrated he laughed as he was taken a bit farther down the stream. His fingers and hands still hurt him a bit but that didn't matter, he would do this exercise all day if he could. If strength and swimming were all that being a ninja was about that is. After drifting a bit, he grabbed on to the shore, and after a few moments, gave another try at swimmming upstream!

Hiru actually swam pretty fast all the way up to where he had started. He waved hello to the Cassie-sensei clone and decided to try and impress the class again with another push that would get him all the way up to the shuriken practice range! Being cocky never fails though, Hiru disappeared underwater for a few seconds before resurfacing waaaay farther down. He kinda hoped no one had noticed...

Hiru's bruised ego took over pretty quick after having been washed away by the current, and potentially in front of all his friends. He used his powerful breast stroke to swim all the way up to the shuriken range... and then some! He made sure to splash a lot while doing it so that some of his buddies would notice. Just afterwards, he let himself go with the current for a while, and waved at the academy on the way back, getting ready for another push.

Hiru tried to swim back using the butterfly but, just as he took his first stroke, a small wave of water splashed him in the face and right into the nose. It's always painful when something this happens! Hiru grabbed onto the solid ground and sneezed the water out a bit until the pain dissapeared. Even Hoshigakis are prey to water in the nose! He slowly swam back to the center of the stream and playfully prepared for another stroke forward.

Hiru was probably having too much fun in the water and not focusing enough on the training plan. Again he let himself drift a bit farther down the stream, just watching the sun gleaming through the light mist that covered the village. Hiru never got tired of that sight. Still, he was here to train, not to relax. He got back into a decent position to swim up the river and was determined to get it right.

Hiru was definitely taking this too lightly. He knew he shouldn't, but this just felt so good. He was actually swimming sideways instead of doing the strokes required for training. It took him a while to realize it but as soon as he did he stopped right away to try and do it right. For real this time. He spit out the small qunatity of water that had dripped into his mouth and charged forward.

Hiru knew he could do it if he put his mind to it. He swam forward doing incredibly impressive breaststrokes for a boy his age and went way up the stream until he reached Cassie-sensei's clone next to the academy. He had actually drifted pretty far away fooling around like he did. But no other training could be as exhilerating to him. He grabbed on to the grass and gave what he thought was the real Cassie-sensei a great big pointy teethed smile before starting again.
