((-cocks head to the side- Two things... 14 (with the minus for my attack bonus since it was 16) was my attack roll for success... 15 (17 minus my -2 attack bonus) was the power of the grapple itself... I see no 12's in there. Second, wouldn't the attacker in a grapple situation be the Grappler, not the Grappled?))

Hachiro looked over the scroll and decided to go with the tiger seal. He already knew that it was a major seal in any fire jutsu. It represented power and strength. It only took him a few moments of thought before he managed to put his hands into the seal. It seemed as if things were finally turning around. Hachiro smiled as he looked at his hands and turned to watch as a spar started between Mag and Kazuma. He chuckled a little and watched as Kazuma managed to get a hold of Mag. This was going to be interesting.

((Yes ties go to the attacker, but in this case the escape artist would be considered the attacker, so getting 12 means you escape. And here are the most recent official grapple rules:
First, roll 2 D20. The first D20 is to see if the grapple even connects. Treat it like regular Taijutsu with the regular formulas.

Second, if the first D20 connects, the second is used to set the Grapple DC. Use this formula:
D20 + 2 per 10 in Taijutsu skill.

Third, for every post after, the attacker rerolls their grapple DC to accomidate for real life situations such as weakening (or strengthening) grips. The defender must continue to roll Escape Artist checks to see if they get out.

After this point, the defender is stuck in a grapple hold. Damage isn't started until after the next post. To counter grapples, the defender simply rolls an Escape Artist Check and compare it to the Grapple DC. If their Escape Artist check beats the Grapple DC, the defender breaks free. If it does not beat the DC, the defender suffers damage equal to half the attacker's Str mod.

If the defender is trapped in the grapple for more than 3 of their posts, they begin to loose MHP by 10% of their max for each of their posts due to freaking out. All MHP ailments still apply.

If the defender is trapped in the grapple for more than 5 of their posts, they loose the ability to gather chakra due to soreness of limbs and general annoyance of situation. This nullifies any and all ninjutsu and genjutsu they may try.

No, you rolled a 14 and it's 12 with the minus. but that doesn't matter as that roll has to hit her dodge bonus, which you did. The second roll is 17-2=15. That 15 is what she has to get with her escape artist check which she didn't so you have it wrong, but you're still holding her so it works. Now for your turn, you roll another dice to see how strong your grip is. Now she has to beat that new number with a escape artist check to get out. If she doesn't, you start doing a little damage on your turn.
Grapples are quite confusing

((Ah, then I had the right idea. xd That means my grapple kept hold seeing how 15 (with my minuses) > 12. xp xd

xd Oh the joy. A 9... that would be 7... >.> too easy to fail...))

Kazuma kept a tight hold of Mag's arms. Since her hands were already behind her back he had no need to worry about her punching him really. Plus with him grabbing her arms at the sides it would be hard to get a real good hit in. He just layed over top of her, looking down at her. "Give up please." He said in an asking sort of ways. His eyes filled in thought on what he would do if she intended on continuing this fight like this. He just wanted her to call it to an end. He would be unwilling himself to give up, but he was hoping that with her condition she would consider it seeing as how if she didn't he would probably be forced to pull out his arrows later, or actually punch her when she starts to win. He didn't want to resort to either since his promises to his dad were his most important thing to him. And attacking someone unarmed was low, but especially when it's a girl during practice. It made the thought seem underhanded. But if he had no other choice he would have to do it. Though to be honest he wished she would have chosen some kind of weapon in return so they could have a fight with the weapons of their choice. Even though they were practice they were still painful to get hit with. He could understand why she wouldn't want to get hit by them, but being prefered that she be punched seemed wrong to him. So either way they went one was going to be uncomfortable. Kazuma at this point wished though that he let her be the uncomfortable one. He always had a bad habit of always saying yes when it came down to requests. This would probably be his downfall one day.

As Hachiro was watching the spar take place, he attempted to put his hands back into the tiger seal. He realized that his hands were almost in a knot and took another look at the scroll. He couldn't believe that he'd been so distracted by the fight that he had screwed up the seal. Hachiro really needed to focus more on what he was doing instead of what everyone else was doing.

good news is if she doesn't manage to get out of it, you'll start doing damage to her so theres hope to make the grapple gambit worth while

((Yeah, true. neutral Though honestly I hate Taijutsu, my chances of actually cashing this one are slim, if I'm forced to take whatever skill points come with the XP that is.))

[[Eh, finaly back!

Can I just not retype my post and pretend it never happened xD?]]

Mag felt the tight grip Kazuma had on her arm, her struggles where lossening his grip, so she figured if she fought back with enought force, maybe she would be able to escape his hold on her. Mag couldn't notice something wasn't right about this fight. Kazuma was holding back for some reason. With his words it all became clear to her. "Give up please." Mag couldn't help but laugh. He was taking it easy on her. Mag didn't know why, but it was clear he didn't want to fight. "But if I give up, you wont get to hear the voice." She mocked a little bit, able to slip herself out of his grasp. She made as much space as she could between the two when she was free. She had to make sure she didn't fall for that again. Her eyes darted between him and his arrows. He was tricky, and though she had asked for no weapons, if he was going to hold back it help neither of them.

((Yup, but I think escaping counts as your turn so its his turn again, bringing on the possibility that he grabs you then you escape then he grabs you then he escapes, etc etc

((7 + 3 (Range Bonus) = 10; I missed. xd

My -2 never actually existed... I forgot it was -1... xD And that was last level, these are my bonuses:

Base Attack Bonus: 2
Attack Melee: 0
Attack Ranged: 3))

Kazuma noticed her eying his bow and arrows. He then sighed a sigh of relief, figuring out that she would allow him the use of his weapon rather then forcing him to fight her. It was a good choice too. He would have just kept tackling her to the ground in a grapple until she submit or he was knocked unconscious. He said to his father he'd never hit a girl. But he never said he wouldn't shot at then as he flung the bow of his shoulder pulling out an arrow and notching it and pulling it back. He would dart to the side in an attempt to try and counter-act any attempt at running to a direction to avoid his shot and aiming it directly at her and releasing into the air to hear it fly towards her in an attempt to land a hit. He liked the arrows themselves due to the fact that made a nice silent sound, perfect for assassinations and on top of that they were light, and only someone with the hearing of a master could hear it coming at them with a sneak attack, though this was no sneak attack seeing as how it was a spar. there was no sneaking element to it. But there was always a way to surprise by moving in a way that most wouldn't consider. He would notch another arrow as he ran getting ready for another attack after he saw his previous attack fail or not.

((Yeah, close though))

Mag watched with heavy breath as he reached his arrows. It seemed he would be a little bit more determined if he didn't have to mack pysical contact, however that puch her at a reach disadvantage, She could try and dance thru his arrows. This seemed like the only course of action, and whatever problem he had with hitting people, she did not. She would rush forwards hand try to sweep his legs out from under him. If she could manage that she would be able to pin him, and hopefully constrain him until her genetics cause her to end the fight. Well here went nothing. Mag lowered her body and sprinted forwards. She noticed he had notched another arrow, her plan had to change, she would first have to hit his hand hard enough that he dropped the arrow. With a swing over her body Maggie sent the flat side of her hand swinging towards the arm holding the arrow.
