"Nice place you got? Bet the girls like it a lot..." Otogi commented as he browsed around the apartment.
Malik scoffed, crossing his arms and leaning against the doorway. "I don't like girls..." He noted bitterly.
Ryuuji turned around, dropping one of the antiques he was toying with and replied defensively, "Why are you mad at me?"
"Maybe because you got me in trouble last night!"
"It's not like I made you come to my party and bring drinks and then try to fu-"
"Just shut up. I don't remember what happened and I don't care. Get the hell out of my apartment!" The Egyptian replied disdainfully, narrowing his eyes viciously at Otogi.
"Calm down! I just want to hang out and talk." Ryuuji said, throwing his hands out in the air innocently. "I'm bored."
"You embarrassed Jounouchi! That was mean!!"
"He was asking for it..."
"No he wasn't! I caused all the problems! If anything be mad at me! You've got some twisted perception Otogi..."
"Look, the guy irritates me. I don't know why you hang around him."
"Because he's nice?!"
"Him and Honda are best friends. I don't understand why Honda would be so close to such an idiot..." The teen said quietly.
Malik's eyes widened for a moment in realization. "... so that's what this is about..." He frowned, "You scumball! You're just jealous! That's just stupid... It's not like they are gay for each other...! If you like Honda so much go date rape him or something, I don't give a s**t about what you do. Frankly, I don't care about you or any of Jounouchi's little friends."
((That wasn't insightful at all... ugh... I feel so dead right now... D: Valentines Day makes me rotten!

Jounouchi stormed out of the apartment complex, mumbling angrilly to himself as he marched down the pavement towards the sidewalk. He considered just not calling Malik at this point but... at the same time, it's not like Malik knew how pissed off he now was. Jounouchi sighed exasperatedly to himself, heading in the direction of where he knew the nearest payphone to be.

Lavender eyes widened, in obvious bafflement. "Me? Help you? Ha! "
Otogi was silent, and his emerald eyes fell to the floor shamefully.
The Egyptian grunted, sighed and shook his head. "... Look. I shouldn't have yelled, just... tell me what you need help with?"
Otogi looked up, eyes still narrowed at the blond. He didn't trust him, but... "I.. don't know. I'm a little confused."
Malik sighed. Great, this was just lovely. Jounouchi was confused. Otogi was confused. And it was all just making him even MORE confused. Granted, at least he knew what his sexuality was. Yea, that would've just been annoying. He put his arm around the ebony haired teen and set him on the couch. "Let me get you... some tea."

After a bit of a hike through town, Jounouchi finally came across a payphone. He dug through his pockets for change, having about
¥300 in coins. He inserted ¥20 into the payphone and dialed in Malik's house number. He had actually already memorized it; strangely enough, memorizing random numbers was one of his strong points.

In the kitchen, the Egyptian's phone went off loudly. "Can you wait a little while Otogi?" He shouted into the kitchen. Upon hearing a dull yes, Malik picked up the reciever and stuck it to his ear, "Hello?"

"Malik...?" Jounouchi said uncertainly. Okay, so he was pretty certain he knew it was Malik on the other side of the line, but what he wasn't sure was how he felt about all of this. He couldn't decide if he was pissed off and Malik for bringing alchohol to the party, fooling around with Otogi, and talking about him as he did so but... at the same time, after all that had just happened... Jounouchi was just really unsure of everything, so he decided to just get calling Malik out of the way and let his instincts decide his actions after that.

"Oh, hey Jounouchi... " Malik said, tone rising notably. Although, he couldn't quite comprehend why Jounouchi didn't just want to talk in person. Guess he didn't trust Malik completely or something... as he got out the dishes for tea, he figured it'd be best not to comment on Otogi being present. He also figured it'd be easiest to start with small talk, at least until the other blond felt comfortable.
"How are you feeling? Better yet?"

"Erm... yeah... listen um... when I was leaving your place I ran into Otogi and..." as he recalled the conversation with Otogi, rage overtook him, "Just... just what right do you think you have to bring alchohol to a party for teenagers, huh?! I hadn't realized you were the one who brought it but... everyone at that party was acting like morons! Including you and Otogi!! I mean... he even told me that you two... gah, forget it! Just forget everything! I will not deal with people who regularly drink and get others drunk and do stupid things because they're drunk! If you're serious about... about what you feel for me... then prove it! Prove that you're not just some stupid slut who goes around drinking and fooling around with people all the time! Maybe then I'll become serious too, and consider giving some actual thought about being in a relationship with another guy!!" Jounouchi finally finished, breathing hard into the phone from how caught up in his yelling he had become. The phone reciever was clasped tight in his hand as he shakilly inserted another ¥20 into the coin slot.

"I.." Malik's face fell into a heavy frown. "I-I'm sorry..." He muttered shamefully. "Look, I.. was upset... and.." He gave a deep sigh. "...That's how I deal with it."
"...Jounouchi, I'm... not good at coping... " His eyes watered over, "...And... I know, I shouldn't do those things... but I just feel so broken and...."
"I used to be... really addicted, Jounouchi. It's not a conversation for the phone though. But... I have my reasons. I haven't told anybody, but.. I trust you enough... so when the day comes... I can tell you everything about my past... and maybe we can find an understanding."
"In return, I can... try to... give up those things... I promise."

Jounouchi remained silent for quite a few seconds, really taking some time to consider Malik's words. Finally, he sighed quietly into the phone, "O... okay then, I understand... but... I want to help you... I know it's not easy to give up habits and dependencies, so I really want to help you... show you that you don't need alchohol and sex to lean back on when things get bad... show that all you need is companions and your own will power... so... can I help you...? Would that be okay?"
