When Wesley never answered the door, Fred decided he might be eating breakfast or something, and she slowly made her way through the house to find the kitchen. She went in, and right away stopped. There were two people arguing in there. She stood next to the door quietly for a minute, tying to be unobtrusive.

Riley left shortly after that, going on home to his wife, wondering what he was going to say to try and explain things.

Buffy was in her room, packing a suitcase. Today she left for Prague. She didn't really care at this point who came for her. Things were strained at home, and she couldn't leave that poor girl waiting any longer. For all Buffy knew, she could be dead. Buffy hadn't heard anything from her in a week, but who knew how the mail worked... She sure didn't. Finishing up with one suitcase, she pulled out a gym bag. Weapons were a non-issue. There was no way to bring them on the plane, so she just concentrated on pretty fightin' outfits.

Oz’s relinquishing sigh did not make Kennedy feel any better. Her heart could have never broken if he never pursued Willow. Her sweetheart would have never been tempted and would have tried to get over this heavy bump in their relationship if he never showed up. Kennedy’s eyes blurred with more tears, seemed to be the only thing she did nowadays. “Willow loves me…” somehow, she had trouble believing her own words as she stared at the young man. “She loved you the same way she loved me, Kennedy. And instead of wallowing in the denial phase or trying to force the relationship back together, you should remember all of the good times you and Willow had together. I remember them; I never let them go. Those moments help define me as who I am….with or without her.” Kennedy’s anger suddenly shifted. Her voice sounded more like she were trying to convince him of her feelings rather than blaming him of her breakup. “You don’t understand, Oz. I had to work hard to get Willow. I had to show her that it was okay to love again and now…” The news hit Kennedy like a ton of bricks. Heavy bricks. Kennedy had to remind Willow to love after the loss of Tara. It was hard, it was bumpy, but they managed for a while. That short time that they did manage, Willow and Kennedy were happy. That one mistake, one moment of temptation from Kennedy’s part is what ended everything. She tried to lie to herself about it; acting like saying sorry would be enough. But it never is. The scars are always still there. “Kennedy, I know what you feel right now. I feel it, too.” “You don’t know sh*t!” Kennedy snapped as she left the kitchen. The truth hurts, even more than a broken heart.

Quietly, Faith walked into the house, after a much needed walk to clear her head. Things in the house had gotten a little too intense for her, little too - ok, so the girls were starting to rake her nerves a bit.
She walked into the kitchen, opening the fridge and grabbing a bottle of water. Stepping over to the counter, she opened the bottle and took a long drink.

Oz just stood there, long enough to wonder if he should go after Kennedy. But why? He then noticed Faith walking in.
"Hey, Faith. Haven't seen much of in the passed day."

"Hey," she says with a half nod, "Well, ya know.. had to get out, get some air. This girl-bonding stuff just isn't my style."
She lifted herself up to sit on the counter, taking another drink out of her water bottle.
"You're sounding like I missed out on at least somethin'," she says after she lowers the bottle from her lips.

Oz Sighed.
"Sorta. Kennedy woke up." He paused for a moment. He should only tell her that basics. Faith didn't need to know about his night with Willow.
"And Willow reminded her that they are over. Kennedy isn't taking that news too well."
Oz plopped onto a chair.

The Aklorian XANDER WOKE UP WHEN HE FELL OUT OF THE TREE. "OUCH. HOLY BEJEEZUS." HE WONDERED WHERE EXACTLY ANGEL AND DRUSILLA HAD GOTTEN TO, THEN SHRUGGED. NO ONE WAS AROUND, WHICH WAS GOOD. MORE SPYING COULD BE DONE. HE STOOD AND STRETCHED, THEN AS HE FELT THE ACHES AND PAINS, DECIDED HE'D RATHER GO IN. HE WALKED AROUND THE BACK - WHICH TOOK SOME TIME CONSIDERING THE SIZE OF THE HOUSE, AND WALKED INTO THE BACK DOOR, FINDING ANGEL'S SON MAKING SOME FOOD. "COOL- ANY BACON?" The Aklorian CONNOR TURNED. "DUDE, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? IS ANGEL UP YET? I HAVE TO GO TO WORK SOON. AND NO ONE'S BEEN AROUND TO HEAR MY BOSS THEORY." HE FLIPPED THE FRENCH TOAST IN THE PAN. "MY BOSS IS EVIL. HE'S PLANNING TO RELEASE SOMETHING OUT OF THE HELLMOUTH. AND EVERYTHING AROUND HERE IS INSANE, AND THE SLAYERS ARE MISSIN IN ACTION." HE PULLED OUT THE BACON. "GOT BACON. YOU COOK IT." CONNOR AND XANDER BOTH LOOKED UP FROM THEIR PLATES AS FAITH AND OZ CAME IN. THEY'D BEEN TALKING ABOUT THE POSSIBILITY THAT CONNOR'S BOTH MAY ACTUALLY BE RICHARD WILKINS BROTHER BOB. CONNOR QUICKLY SWALLOWED AND STOOD. SHE ALWAYS MADE HIM SWEATY NERVOUS. "HEY, FAITH- I'LL MAKE YOU UP A PLATE... BACON? EGGS? FRENCH TOAST? WHAT'S YOUR PLEASURE?" XANDER ROLLED HIS EYES. PUPPY LOVE. THEN HE REASSESSED THE KID. WONDER HOW OLD HE ACTUALLY IS... LIKE, 2? HIS HEAD SPUN TOO WEIRD. ANGEL WITH A 2 YEAR OLD WHO'S GOT THE ABILITY TO GROW A BEARD - MAYBE. "WHAT'S UP FAITH, WHERE YA BEEN?", HE ASKED CONVENIENTLY AVOIDING THE FACT THAT HE HIMSELF HAD BEEN OUT OF THE PICTURE A LOT LATELY. ALL HE KNEW WAS THE THEY WERE SUPPOSEDLY GOING TO ITALY OR EUROPE OR SOMETHING OR OTHER...

Oz noticed the lack of acknowledgement from the guys.
"Hey! I'm here, too."
His mind just wanted to shut down. Everything was completely out of the loop for him. He figured it best to go to bed and hope that actual sleep would help him out. The day was too long already, and it was only ten in the morning. Ridiculous.
"I'll just be off to bed. I didn't sleep at all last night. What with Willow and Kennedy and then that monster in the house."
Oz dragged his feet out of the kitchen, up the stiars, into his designated room and onto his bed. He didn't even bother changing clothes.

Kennedy couldn’t take it anymore. Willow would not talk to her. Oz was staying in the house like a sick puppy. She needed air, she needed to get out and try to forget. She wish she could just make it all go away. It was impossible. Willow didn’t want her anymore. No, not true. Kennedy shook that thought from her mind.
“Willow is just upset…and tired. She needs to sleep to get things straight in her head again.”
No, Kennedy knew better. Although she wanted Willow in her arms again, more than anything in the world, Kennedy still remembered how close they were when she saw them together. She remembered Willow’s hair. Funny, the stranger was the one trying to keep things calm.
“I can’t, I just can’t!” More tears enveloped her eyes. She got up and ran. Kennedy ran to the front door and kept on running. This was a mad house, Willow was the puppeteer, and Kennedy was the puppet sitting on her lap until the puppeteer got bored.
Kennedy ran down the streets as cars honked at her inability to look both ways. She did not know where she was running to; she only knew that she did not want to stop. Her mind engulfed everything. Willow and Kennedy. Kennedy and Willow. A memory that Kennedy desperately wanted to twist back into reality.

Buffy finished packing and brought her stuff downstairs and into the livingroom by the front door. She took a look around, trying to think of anything that might need to be taken care of before she left. Her flight was tonight at 9 PM and she wanted to get to the airport early. Unlike Riley, she had to go through customs and get her stuff checked and deal with the passport crap and luggage and... she was starting to get a headache.

She didn't know what to say about Kennedy, or Willow, thinking it was best to just stay as far away from that mess as possible.
Faith grinned small, letting only one corner of her mouth raise up just slightly, "Just some eggs and bacon would be nice. Over medium if you can do it, and don't be stingy on the bacon."
Her brown eyes went to Xander, and shrugged slightly, "Checkin up on me Harris? I needed to get out and get some air."
"Monster..," she pointed a finger over her shoulder at Oz as he walked off to get some sleep, glancing back at him briefly before looking at Xander and Connor, "Did he just say monster?"

Kennedy just ran, not once looking back. A turn here, cross the street there and she found herself in front of the Hard Rock Cafe. She must have been running for a while.
It wasn't the fact that Willow insisted their relationship was over. It was the pain. Willow never spoke to her, never gave it any real closure. She slept with someone else. That was still betrayal. She felt like she didn't know Willow anymore and that her actions were not Willow's actions. The Willow she knew was caring, considerate, a true friend, and honest. This Willow was not her. Maybe Willow was under a spell or something? Maybe....
"Why?" Kennedy stopped running as she shouted into the air. Her hands clinched into fists, stabbing her nails into them.
"Why me? Why should this happen to me?" Kennedy fell to the ground, weeping once more. It seemed to be the only thing she did recently. "This is not forever. We were supposed to be forever."

Buffy walked into the kitchen, grinned at Xander and raised an eyebrow at Faith. She snatched a piece of bacon off Connor's plate, and asked, "Seen your father anywhere?" She popped the bacon into her mouth and bent down to kiss Xander's cheek. "Where've you been? Last time I saw you... weren't you getting sandwiches? You go to Peru to get them?" She smiled and sat at the table and turned her full attention to Faith. "I think maybe you're forgetting that you're not one of the newbies... We could have used your help around here, Faith. That's the monster he's talking about - that thing that took over Kennedy was some werewolfy thing... Kenn's awake by the way. What's up, where've you been?"
