"All over the world." Super said, turning to the bookcases. "I know over ten languages, not well, mind you, but I can make my way in virtually anywhere int he world without a problem." He explained. "And I dabble in old languages as well, not because they completely take up my interest, but I like to know what people thought in the past, and plenty of languages I don't know stem from similar old languages. It helps, I guess." He continued. He had been very aware of Sparky as she stared up at the painting. But until she asked, he found himself unable to tell the story about it. He would rather not speak of it.

"It's amazing what people have done in the world." He picked up again. He walked over to a crystal sphere in the corner of the room. Upon closer inspection, one could see the individual bumping and scratches in it's surface. It was a globe. Giving it a spin with his gloved hand, he stopped the globe with his other hand. "Right there is a whole series of ancient catacombs that haven't been opened to the public yet. G.U.N. is currently researching them for anything worthy of note. Namely, anything of a powerful nature." He explained.

(kukabura shall post now and she means it!! *yells a no on in particular*)

Sparky stood there silently for a bit as she attempted to figure out what to say next. Even without Super saying anything, she could tell that he had been to a lot of places and had learned a lot of things, things that she probably didn't know...and that fact along amazed her. It made her realize how big the world truly was--even when she was still traveling with Moonshock, she had yet to grasp how big of a place the world truly was--not that it all that important to her back then, but still...she still intrigued by it all the same. Watching Super for a bit, the yellow wolf could tell that he was reluctant when it came to speaking about the rather dark picture that hung up on the wall, it was that reluctance that kept her from asking about it for the time being.
Sparky's eyes fell up the crystal globe as Super began to speak about the amazing things that people had done in the world, as well as a series of ancient catacombs that had recently been discovered.
"The world itself is pretty amazing too." Sparky said a second later. "We're always finding out new things--especially me." she gave a bit of a smile. Glancing away from the globe, Sparky opened her mouth to speak for a moment, before quickly closing it, as if deciding what ever she was going to say wasn't important.
"Do you think the pizza is about done now?" she questioned, completely skipping the question that she had attempted to bring up a few seconds ago.

"I really wish I had more time to research them..." Super mumbled, grabbing a document off the wall. It had a number of strange pictures and had what looked to be a lettering system based on the pictures themselves. "I nabbed this when my team first infiltrated the catacombs. It was part of a tomb - Kinda wish I left it alone, but, well... you know me." He said, rolling the document up and placing it back. He tapped his ear a bit and scratched the side of his quill. He took a moment to reflect what Sparky said. "Was that about the world... or about you yourself?" He asked, turning around. Her connotation wasn't clear before - he was genuinely asking. He took a moment to check his watch - they had some time before the pizza would be in any danger.

"Once you find out about something, you can't leave it alone until you figure out as much as you possible can about it." Sparky said with a bit of a smile, replying to the comment Super made as he grabbed the document from the wall. It wasn't hard to admit that Super's curiosity streak-- especially when it came to things unknown--was one of the many things that she liked best about him.
Sparky's right ear tilted to the side in response to Super's question as the yellow wolf began to ponder over the question for a bit. She hadn't really thought about chance that her question would seem unclear, it seemed clear to her when she first said it...but now that she thought about it--it didn't.
"Hmmm..." Sparky said, blinking for a moment. "I'm really not sure--both I suppose." she gave a shrug before giving her right ear a bit of a scratch.

"Cheaters way out." Super said in jest, in response to her taking both answers instead of one, however, he would of done the same. "But yeah, I couldn't not take it. I still haven't figured out much on it, except most of the pictures mean something alike to them. It uses a system pretty different then our own, where the verb comes first and foremost, and the nouns very last. In a sense... verb, adverb, adjective, noun. But anything proper, like a rank or a place, supersedes the verb... it's all very confusing." He said. He stroked his chin a moment. "I guess that's why it's a dead language." He gave a chuckle at the thought of it.

Sparky stuck her tongue out in response to Super's comment about her being a cheater, before giving a bit of a smile a second later. She was only playing, and she was sure that Super easily figured that out.
"It sounds confusing, but quite interesting all at the same time--I can see why you're so interested in it." Sparky said, staring at the document that Super had picked up as he began to speak about the catacombs.
"Who knows." Sparky said. "Maybe it's only dead to the people who can't understand it?" It was just an idea that was thrown out there randomly as a possibility, a rare one--but still a possibility.

Super shrugged, holding his hands up as he did so. "I really can't be sure. Not without going back one day - and it'd be foolish to try now. Apparently they did find something down there, at least, that's what one of my contacts said." He explained as he started for the door. He placed a hand on Sparky's shoulder as he went by. "Right now, I don't think there is anything to worry about. While there are some rotten eggs in G.U.N., and some are higher up, the entire organization is a force of good right now." He eased. Super had a alot of experience with G.U.N., so he hoped she wouldn't worry about that information too much. The entire reason he left was because of the Commander, who he was so close in rank to.

Smiling a bit as she glanced back towards Super, Sparky gently placed her hand onto his own. She could tell that Super was trying to make her feel better, or at the very least--trust G.U.N a bit more than she did at the point. Ever since she had that bad experience with them, she wasn't exactly fond of them--but Super was right, not all of them were as bad as that one.
"Thanks Super, I'll do my best to remember that." She said with a bit of a smile, before blinking as he headed towards the door, wondering where he was going.
Looking away from him, Sparky gave the picture on the wall once more glance, along with the rest of the room, before turning and heading out--deciding that the history behind that picture was better left unknown.
Heading away from the room, she began to make her way through the house, trying to see what else there was to do while she waited for the pizzas to finish cooking.

Super walked into the kitchen and played around a bit, before finally getting out a few glasses and heading over to the fridge. Next to his refrigerator was a wine cabinet, and he took a moment to think of what he wanted to drink. It was a little early for anything alcoholic, but he really liked to taste of one of the wines in his cabinet and it had been over three months since he last tasted it... but he eared on the side of caution and reached in the fridge to grab a can of Soda which Sparky so lovingly got for him. Cracking it open, he poured it into the glass and placed the cup in the little tray, watching as ice made small splashes in his cool drink. As he took a sip, he smiled gratefully. "Soda... is always a good choice." He murmured, as if in ecstasy.

After wandering about the house for a little bit longer, and deciding that there wasn't anything that she needed to do at the point, Sparky headed into the kitchen--just in time to see Super pop open a can of soda. Giving a bit of a smile as she watched him, she wandered over to the refrigerator and pulled out her own soda.
Picking up one of the glasses that Super had pulled out with his own and placed on the table, before grabbing a few ice cubes out of freezer and gently dropping them into the glass.
"That's very true." Sparky said, her ears twitching at the low fizzy sound that was created as the soda met with the ice that was already inside of her cup.
"It's quite refreshing." she grinned a bit and took a sip from her glass. Pulling the cup away from her mouth, the yellow wolf gave cup a bit of a spin, before watching as the fizzy liquid inside swirled around slowly--taking the ice with it.

Super took a moment to think this over. "Only certain types. Some are refreshing, others... just tasty. Unless they suck for taste." Super said, rather bluntly. He obviously had no care in the world for sucky soda, despite it's carbonated goodness. "It's a waste of something so magical." He mumbled. He placed his soda down and looked over to Sparky, before wrapping her in a playful hug and giving her a quick kiss on the cheek. "Kinda like you. Refreshing, You're so good, and very magical."

Blushing light as Super kissed her on the cheek, Sparky gave a bit of a smile and gently hugged him.
"I don't know if I'm that magical." she said, her cheeks taking on a dark shade of pink in reaction to what he said. "But I can agree on what you said about the soda, to waste something as good and special that on plain soda is never a good thing." She smiled a bit more, before rubbing noses with him.
"But no matter how good soda is, it'll never beat you." she chuckled before grinning a bit. "you're getting better at this." she teased a second later.

Super thought for a moment and leaned back on the counter, his quills brushing up against the wall. "Am I?" He asked, trying to see the improvements. "Maybe a lil'. But it's hard not to get better at it when I've got such great inspiration!" He said, before looking completely surprised. "Hey! You're right! I am getting better at this!"

From another room, Sickle gave a "Woo, go you." That could be barely heard from the kitchen.
PostPosted: Wed Jun 17, 2009 10:23 pm

Sparky gave a bit of a chuckle as she heard what he said, before snickering as she faintly heard Sickle's comment from a different room.
"I suppose that's true." the yellow wolf said, taking a sip from her cup quickly. "But does that mean that I get inspiration from you as well, or is it just you?" she questioned curiously.
Sparky was sure that she did, she probably just never noticed it--not that the question was really important--she just asked it out of curiosity--nothing else.
Waiting for his response, Sparky gently swirled the soda around before taking another sip.
"Gross! Mushy sh-crap..." Moonshock grumbled from inside of Sparky's mind, causing the yellow wolf to give a bit of a grin as she gulped down the cool soda.
"Watch your language Moonshock." Sparky replied simply.
"Whatever..." Moonshock replied. "Why do you guys always get so mushy, why can't you just get lai--" Moonshock's sentence was cut off as Sparky began to gasp and cough, as she struggled to keep from inhaling the soda she almost took into her lungs due to Moonshock's...interesting statement.

Super tapped his chin in thought. "I uh... I 'unno. I think so. Sickle usually tells me when I miss a beat, to be honest." He said. Moving his hand, he started to scratch the side of his quills as he tried to think of just how many times Sickle was able to tell him that he missed a romantic cue. Then he had to take into account that was just when Sickle was able to see or hear them. "I think so." He repeated, just before Sparky started to cough and sputter around the kitchen. Super hopped off the counter and moved over to her, patting her on the back as he kneeled down next to her face. "Hey, you okay? Don't drink so fast..." He said, trying to make sure she didn't inhale too much.
