Nathanial was feeling a bit hungry and that alone made him start to fuss and whimper for mom. He sniffed a little smelling wasn't right in the house and actually wailed.
Jean slept on, snuggling into his crib and yawning. He was the oldest, and probably the strongest of the two boys but he was also the quietest. His brother was the troublemaker between the two but was also softhearted.

Roxane gladly joined the wailing, in her mind, she was going to fix everything. Strong lungs and a clever mind were her tools and she knew how to use them.
Rin hobbled as fast as she could, yelping in pain. Asher was the one to be punished, so why was she the one hurting? Shaking her head, she slid down the banister rather then walking down the stairs. She slid right off the end and landed on her good foot. Panting, she limped, fighting the urge to yelp as she went. Picking up Nathanial first, she rocked the baby and spoke, "Shh, hush my wonders, Momma is here." She tried to pick her daughter up to but the child was thrashing and seemed to not want her to touch her.
Roxane made it clear what she want, "Da!"
JC heard, but wouldn't go to the door, if it caused Rin to call for Asher, then hearing the wailng would be worth it.

Asher wasn't in the palace anymore. So him hearing anything going on was a matter of telepathy and then he wasn't paying attention.
Nathanial relaxed as soon as he picked up but he still fussed, still sensing something was right with the picture.
Anita remained silent as she snuggled with JC, her form still. She wanted to heal Asher, no matter what it took.

Rin was going to scream, she couldn't handle this, her son was fussing and her daughter was screaming for her father. What could she do, if she was to ease any of the pain she had to get Asher, she needed him. If that wasn't the bitter truth. Opening the door to the palace she looked out side, he had to be there else he would have come already, "Asher! Please, I need you!" Mentally strained, she pleaded in her mind for him, not because she thought she'd hear him, but because she was trying will him to come, silly yes but she was at her wits end with all that happened that day, 'please come, please, Roxane won't stop screaming. I need you, please come' What was she going to do if couldn't hear her from were he was?
Roxane also yelled at her brother, telling him to make more nose and be more difficult. Pulling her end of the barging, she screamed her little lungs out. Her face was beat red and tears made her face glistened with tears.

Asher stopped in his movement, catching the message in his mind. Did she really need him or was he just giving in to his hope? A part of him screamed at him not to answer as it only meant bad news...
Nathanial only screamed louder because food wasn't comming to him.

Rin rocked her son, she needed Asher's help, this was too much on her own and Anita and JC were not helping! "Asher, please, come home!" Mentally, she pleaded, 'please, I need you, come home. Please.' Hell, she'd let him drown her if he'd only come back and help with the children. In so much pain, thinking straight was becoming impossible.
At least, she could do something about Nathanial, if she was right about why he was crying. Turning her back to the door, she took her shirt half off and held her son where he could most comfortably get milk from her. "Ssh Nathanial, Roxie, you'll wake your brother." All the time, she was 'willing', not knowing that she could actually reach him, him back by pleading and thinking of all the reasons she wanted him back, mainly Roxane was going to blow her vocal cords out if she didn't stop wailing for him and that she couldn't handle it without him.
JC, having had enough of it, reached out for Asher's mind was a lot less nice about it, 'Rin is screaming for you, your daughter could put a banshee to shame in volume, also yelling for you. Rin sounds like she is about to loose it as well. Get your scaly a** back to the palace and take care of your family before I have to force you back here.' He was irritated now because Asher wasn't responding fast enough.
Roxane kept up her loud screaming crying, her mother was only giving her more fuel. If she could get Jean to cry, then it might get their father back faster.

The second time was enough to spur him into action as he slithered back to the palace. Asher came through the door, his own ears about to pop with all the crying as he picked his daughter up, holding her close. He wanted to get Rin to sit down and relax for once but he didn't dare attempt it.
Nathanial squealed in delight and latched onto mommy, suckling away happily. He wasn't aware mommy was in pain.
Anita's tail flickered as she slowly pushed things away and stretched out on the bed. She was still worried about Asher, but the visual was masked carefully.

Roxane hushed the moment she was in her father's arms, she only said one more thing, "Da-da." Smiling up at him, dimples showing, she then caught herself in a yawn. It was a lot of work, screaming up a storm for that long! Bringing a hand up, she rubbe her eye and yawned again. It was worth it, and she was proud of herself now that it worked.
Rin tried to limp to the chair, but she couldn't do it, her anckle had gotten so much worse becase of all the strain she put it under. She tired to hide it, but her eyes were an open book. Sliding down the wall, carefully holding her sucklng son so he didn't get disloadged. "Thank god your home, Asher." Thats all she could say at that momet. Now sitting on the floor, she rested her head against he wall. "I was wrong, I am sorry." She'd appologize for anything at that moment, too releaved to see him to bother with her pride. Her childre plainly and loudly, she rubbed her ears mentaly thanking Roxane for the hearing aid she'll require, proved how much she needed Asher. Not just for them, but for herself as well.
JC muttered, "That child has the most powerful set of lung I hav ever had the misfortune to have to endure" He contined to gently stroke Antia's hair, glad the scream feast was over.

Nathanial saw dad and cooed softly and just went back to suckling. The tension seemed to lessen so his own stress lessened.
Asher tenderly scooped her up with his tail and set her very gently into a seat. Roxane in one arm he coiled close. "I'm sorry...I love you." He did love her...He never meant to loose himself on her, she was soo precious to him. Both her and the children.
Anita smiled a little, also glad the screaming fest was over but she worried for those two. Until she saw things were better for herself, she would have problems accepting things between them.

Rin did tense a bit when he first scooped her up, but two things made her relax, first being that their son was in her arms and second being she didn't want to fight him anymore. The couch was a welcomed relief from the floor. Being careful with her ankle, and thinking to her self how much it hurt, she made sure that he couldn't accidently hurt it in moving her.
She even let him coil close, everything that had happened finally caught up with her and she couldn't fight him if she wanted to, and she didn't. The comfort she got from him, though spoild by how he had treated her, was still what she saught. Maybe she could take it, for the children's sake, "I know, and I still love you, too." Seeing Roxane about ready to sleep, she reached over and brushed away the last of her tears, "Such a loud daddy's girl, Roxie is, thankfully it dosn't sound like she woke Jean, I don't know how I would have gotten to him." She had not a clue what she would have done, doing this alone just wasn't possible, at least not when hurt.
She still hadn't figured out that Asher could hear her thoughs, so she took a few moments to allow her self to express herself. Wimpering peiouslty in her mind, she bit her lip to help her fight it, she could worry her family over her ankle. Stroking her son's cheek, she watched his expression. To save a what little strenght she could, she leaned her head against's Asher's shoulder.
Roxane fell asleep, contently rest against her father.
JC waned to look, to see how they were getting along, but wasn't going spy. Besides, he could hear and she didn't sound like she was distressed, so he stayed lying with Anita.

This was only the start of recovery. Asher wanted to desperatly make love to her but he could take things slow. He needed to. He looked to Roxie in his arms and smiled, brushing a bit at her hair. He placed a small kiss to Rin's forehead.
Anita purred softly, wrapping her arms around JC and decided she wanted him. Hell it was a nice way of releasing tension and they both had it. Before he could protest, not that he would, she kissed him.

Rin wanted him, to make up and reestablish what they had. Not only did it seem a bit too fast, then again thinking of how they met, nothing about their relationship had ever been taken slow. Beyond that, she had messed up her ankle so badly, there as no way, the pain would ruin the whole thing, and remind her of what she wanted to forget. There was also the matter of the children.
Seeing how her punishment for him, was hurting her and him both, she decided to end it, "Asher, will you go put Roxie into her crib and then come back for Nathanial and I? The stairs are too much." She'd ask him to stay when she was up there.
JC returned her kiss, shifting his lower half at the same instant. His arms were around her, one around her shoulder, playing with her hair, the other on her lower back and bottom.

Anita wanted to forget, even for a moment and let her body do the talking for her.
Asher smiled lightly as he carried Roxie upstairs and laid her in her crib. He brushed at her hair a little, placing a small kiss to her forehead before tucking her in. He checked on their eldest, Jean, who was still fast asleep before leaving to get Rin and Nathanial. All the while he thought of how Rin and himself could have their moments.
He scooped Rin up as though she weighed nothing, held her close and kissed her softly.

Rin still slightly tensed up when he scooped her up. When he kissed her, she went completely relaxed in his arms. The arm not holding on to Nathanial went up to the back of his neck so that she could easily return the kiss.
JC was tallking the same lagauge at that moment.

Asher's tongue flickered out to tickle her nose and he was carefuly going upstairs with her and their son in his arms. He settled her in her bed, brushing at Nathanial's hair softly.
