Insta-kill is insta-kill, even if you have to charge forever.
People shouldn't pull junk that can't more or less universally be defended against.
I think why pretty much speaks for itself.

P1: *INSTADEATH BEAM!*
P2: *Steps aside.*
Beam: *Kills grass dead.*
That's how it should be. =o

Y'know, the sad thing is I could've seen Hitler or Stalin coming up with something similar to that if they'd been given the time.

Well, maybe if it was a cheaper, quicker, more efficient, and easily recordable method of genocide. Although, people would have to willingly purchase it, which is hardly a guarantee, and it'd be a difficult thing to track. As well, it's hardly got an effective sort of imagery.
"Hitler replaced the Jews' coffee with poison!" is hardly as evil-sounding as "Hitler rounded up all the Jews in his country and placed them in cheap ghettos, piled them into trains like cattle, shipped them to various concentration camps where they were turned into numbers, beaten, raped and run ragged, and then crowded together in gas chambers and murdered."
But who knows, given time it might've been a good way to keep people on their toes.

Wow Shou, I wasn't aware you were capable of such cognitive thought processes. No doubt your new brain won't survive long enough for you to make another such post.

Frankly, I don't think Hitler was particularly preoccupied about sounding evil. It was all about efficiency. Heck, even killing the jews was something about efficiency. The first idea was to just drive them out, but then they conquered the places where the jews went to, so they kinda had too many on their hands.
At that point, it was just easier to scrap them. D=
Beside, the coffee big shots would've never let Hitler. Bad publicity much?

Hay, I said that already! D =<
The last point was funny though, kudos.

I can see it now: "Maxwell House Coffee, try our new Hitler-style brew. It's genocidally tasty. *Unheard thumbs up.*"

First paragraph was how it probably wouldn't happen if it wasn't more efficient then what they were already doing. B'ya, you're right about the second, but I was thinking along the lines of historical acknowledgement.
Hitler wouldn't be as synonymous with evil if all he did was make crazy poison coffee.
