"We still need something to drink..." she said with a nod "You find that.. and I'll go upstairs and get a blanket for us to sit on...." she kissed him quickly before making her way up the stairs to her room.

Shinji nodded to Lena and moved back to the fridge to find something to drink. He decided on a couple cans of coke and the last of a pitcher of kiwistrawberry koolaid.

After a couple minutes, Lena returned downstairs carrying a couple of folded up blankets. "Okay... I think we've got everything now...."

Shinji smiled and nodded, lifting the now rather heavy basket off the counter. Great! To the lake with us then! he laughed, moving to take the blankets from Lena as well. Teleport, shall we? he laughed, knowign the walk was a little far to cart these along.

Shinji nodded, smiling to Lena. Off we go then! he laughed before the two of them disappeared.

Lena pushed open the front door and entered the house, going straight up to her room. She changed from her dress, into a pair of pajama pants and tank top before lying down across her bed.

As Lena move to lay across her bed, a single longstem red rose appeared on her bedside table, a fold of paper attatched to a ribbon gently wrapped just over the single leaf the stem still had.
Sleep well if you drift off, I hope to be there in time for you to wake

Once she noticed the rose Lena smiled and picked it up, her smile brightened as she read the attached note. She lay the rose back down on the table and shifted slightly before letting her eyes fall shut.

Shinji smiled to himself as he slunk closer to Lena's bed. He wasn't sure if she was awake or not, but his steps were silent, so if she were awake, she wouldn't notice him anyways.

Lena shifted and let out a yawn, she'd not fallen asleep but lay there with her eyes closed.

Shinji stiffened, not wanting to startle her should she open her eyes. He stood a few feet away, and raised his palm. The rose lifted slightly, the bud glowing a soft plum color through the crimson of the petals. He spoke nothing, but smiled as he waited.

Noticing the glow of the flower through closed eyes, Lena smiled slightly and opened her eyes, sitting up to face Shinji.

Shinji smiled brightly and moved forward to kiss Lena softly, letting the still-glowing flower move back to her bedside table. Miss me? he purred, breaking the kiss just barely, his lips still against hers as he spoke.
