zysac as for the eslf destruct button...doesnt that remind anyone of gundam wing??? this whole army reminds me of gundam wing in general..in fact i actualy have a gundam model painted fo rmy army that i use occasionally The Tau army was largely inspired by anime. Hence the mecha and aliens and high-techness.

Hmm..... my local store got their copy of the new codex, and i do have to say, i may actually consider using a skyray now. The rules have been changed since the original rules for it in the imperial armour update '04, and the points cost has been lowered. It sounds like it might be pretty good now.
With the new markerlight rules, i will definately be making more use of them, my only complaint is the pathfinders still HAVE to take the devilfish. I would much rather deploy them on foot, and have them hang out behind a fire warrior squad, so the FW get the better hits, plus giving additional fire power.

Do you happen to know if the Ethereal's are a little more customizable? You know like more options rather than just the honour blade.

Never use much else besides the Honour blade. I heared that they can have their own special fire warrior retinue.

With plus 1 BS! they are only giving more benifits to the etreals because not to many people use them. hence why all th enew fancy ethreals and ethreal upgrades....personaly i still probably wont play any ethreals. mostly becuase i play farsight and hes not alowed to take them. but i wont be playing ethreals still in a normal army either

Wow. What has happened to by beloved tau? It seems to me like every problem they had has been fixed. This is all very nice and well for the problems that didn't make sense, but it seems now like there isn't anythin they're not good at. My firends hated them before, I wonder if they'll even play me anymore....

Giving them a way & they take the way of war

I wish they would implement models for the earth caste. Its the only caste they don't have models for(there are water caste accompanying the uber-pope ethereal). Seriously, how cool would that be having all five castes in an army?

Well considering the fact that I own all the models you just mentioned in your army.(I own half the models he uses, Teehee! *boastful*) but anyway, yes, the skyray is definitely way better, you can just let it hang back and shoot 2+ to hit seeker missiles from behind a building or something. w00t! Lets not forget about the pirhanas though! The tau now have a land speeder equivilant! and since they can have fusion blasters or burst cannons and up to five in a squadron, you got yourself some very nice fast anti-armor/anti-infantry potential there! I just wonder if the plastic models will be easier to build than the resin forgeworld equivilants(friggin skyray missiles.....*grumble*)
