Lt. Brookman Caleidah Lt. Brookman Caleidah Dragonzealot Van Evok 3d6 on average produces 10-11 gaunts, not exactly a big brood... Thast still 10-11 extra troops for them to field and overwhelm you with. Especially if you field more than one. And more KP's to rack in for the opponent. Eh, true. But where's your sense of fun? It would probably be worthless, but put as many as possible into the troops and just spam the table with bugs. Have everything else enter via tunnels. from a Trygon/Mawloc. Games are best when KP's aren't involved. I'd love to give my Guard a try against Nids, target saturation can be a bit of a bother for me. sweatdrop I've been sayin' that since they came out. whee

Has anyone fielded a Death Leaper yet? I think they'd be amazing, but I have yet to find a battle-report with one in the army....... confused

I think Sly Marbo is a pretty cool guy. He kills tyranids and doesn't afraid of anything.

Uhm.... yeah..... uhh..... what? That doesn't help me at all. They aren't THAT hard to kill, but I wanted to know if with all its special rules and stuff could it be used effectively in a battle.
.... Hence why I wanted to know if any TYRANID players have had one in their army and had it used well.... xp

I think they are pretty tough, not as strong as the Lictor if I remember, but they're abilities make up for it, I don't remember the cost, but if you want to disrupt your enemy, take the Death Leaper.
The new Nid codex is awesome, I was reading it yesterday.

It really is, and any and all information I can find on it is all old news, back from when the DL was new. What you said before Kharo wasn't particularly wrong, becuase when the model was first released it WAS easier to kill and get rid of than a normal Lictor.
But now that the 5th edition is out the DL's stats are way better and he has more special rules.

not gonna lie shooty nids are pretty ridiculous. I watched a 2k games of Shooty v.s. CC nids. firstly by the end of the game I didnt know what bugs belonged to who. Second the shooty guys was just dominating the CC guy. Not even the CC guys Trygon stood up to them. I mean yeah nids are pretty decent in CC but I took out a 10 squad of genesteals with a same size squad of blood claws. But the shooting pushed me off my second objective

well, marbo in charge has 6 attacks (pistol+ccw), and poisoned 2+ to boot, so it is all possible with slightly above average rolling...
