Lt_Brookman Oh I see, this is what the other mods here warned me about, ignorance in the bucket loads. *starts to sing out of key* s**t in a bucket coz my name's Gary, the bull-s**t fairy!Peeps, let's just give up on this case, I mean if I, the veteran Guard player am *obviously* wrong, then it's all for the best to just let this run along. I've learned that games in stores can be a much better wake up call. Speaking of proxy models, I am myself thinking of starting a small Hive world guard force, using the Necromunda models for Guardsmen. Or maybe something of a city fighting force, if the rumours are true, then a new Guard city fighting force will be listed in that new cityfighting codex. Not only is it true, but new guard models will be released the same time as the new codex, city of death.

Ah, a big mixed army of different regiments and gangs. I like the idea of that, though the rumour that the new greatcoat guard mini's will be pewter is a step back in my opinion, making the prospect of a greatcoat army expensive.

And not like the Valhallans at all, like the early rumors suggested. I'll definitely have some in my conscript platoon.

Imperial Guard stalk tanks, I'd love to see those, though I kinda sceptical about the dome / force field bubble that protects the crew. Force fields are fine for eldar, but the Imperium is known for armour plating damnation.

Maybe the new guard will be the resin-gone-plastic (for mass production) tallarn units, as well as some new stuff?

Pretty sure they will, once they get around and finish that pretty Tallarn range first. With just heavy weapon teams, Mukaali and fancy snipers people aint getting far. Then again, those resin sniffers haven't even taken the time to finish up the Elysian range, as there's still a veterans squad and assault Valkyrie that needs to be released. But that's FW for ya.
I'm wondering something, ever since the doctrines have been introduced, everybody is using them. Are there any vanilla players still out there?

Mine are: Independent Commissars Close Order Drill Sanctioned Psykers Conscript Platoons Heavy Weapon Teams
