yin999 MHHornfreak I dropped my damned sax playing in the tailgating band... The lyre and bell took most of the impact but now my horn isnbt pretty anymore and it's out of line i need to get it fixed and adjusted now. that sucks, poor lyre xd no really, hope it doesn't cost to much. On a sidenote, an advantage to having a neck strap is that we don't drop our instruments as often as other people. lol I would cry if anything were to happen to my Moose (my alto). My neck strap has saved me so many times. The strap is so pretty. It is BLUE!!! A friend of my has a sax that is blue. It is so flippin cool.

Well i brought the wrong neckstrap to the game. I lost my old neckstrap which was purple and had a metal hook. The neckstrap i had is more comfortable and didnt have a clamp on the hook. I dropped it by holding it in one hand. I've had the saxophone for six years and alsways held it that way and never dropped it. I guess my habd got a little sweaty and it slipped. Carelessness on my part i've never had that happen before...
Oh and my alto is a Yamaha 875 Custom with a dark Rovner ligature and Rossou studio jazz 5 mouthpiece and 3 Java reed.
My Tenor is an Antigua Winds with a Rover ligature and Claude Lakey 4*5 mouthpiece and i use various reeds for differnt playing situations. Marchingband i use size 5's and jazz i use size 3's.

So there are some Yamaha players out there biggrin I have a Yamaha custom Z. I thought it sounded better than most of the selmers. But the keys were easy to adjust to. Selmer C* for the mouthpiece, always played on van dorns for reeds, usually 3 1/2-4.

Key placement is pretty sweet for me and hey if Phill Woods likes it then it cant be a bad horn.

So about that poll...
All the ones I said + Unison... does that sound good to everyone?
And should I add the options "other" "school instrument" "more than one instrument"? Any ideas for ones like that?
