Personality: On the surface Vanitas seems cheerful, unflappable and carefree. They don’t seem to take anything seriously and will always have either a smirk or a smile on their face. They also seem to have an addiction to soda. However dig a bit deeper and there is always a sinister edge to the things that Vanitas does, a sadistic undertone. He takes grudges very seriously and is very determined to achieve whatever goals he’s placed.
They tease those they befriend almost without mercy and always seem to be popping up in unexpected places with no one knowing quite how they got there. Vanitas can be very protective of those he calls his own, although he does acknowledge their capabilities as well. He is extremely loyal and sometimes doesn’t really care about his own health. However he is adaptable and will adjust his game plan or how he treats people accordingly.

Past Vanitas had an interesting start. His father hadn’t planned to ever imbue stones, mostly because he was often told he might not have enough magic for it. However, to his surprise one night he was caught out in a rather nasty storm and was rescued by nomadic tribe of people. He ended up falling in love with one of them but one night after receiving a strange charm blacked out for the rest of the night and woke up with a stone and the band of people suddenly vanished.
Taking responsibility, he kept Vanitas and awakened him. The child was a rather serious, never really smiled and was a bit of a work-a-holic. Vanitas often really didn’t have any friends during school. Sure, he had a couple classmates he gravitated around so he was social enough, but there was never any one to share his secrets with or unwind with. He figured he just didn’t need it.
Present Of course, this was all about to change. Vanitas’s father passed away due an unknown illness. Vanitas took the death hard and drew even further into himself. He lashed out and fell into a pretty hard depression. However eventually he snapped out of it and over time he realized life was just too short to be closed off all the time and way too boring and his personality almost did a 180.
Right not he’s exploring magic, his new way of life and getting used to the fact that he’s now completely by himself in the world.

♣♣♣♣♣- a sort of kind politeness falls over their actions, although they're slight happy to see you. They might even lend a hand to help you you, but there is still a barrier between you and you get that you aren't seeing the whole picture
♣♣♣♣♣- Its rather hard to get to this stage but congratulations you are considered a friend. Vanitas will value your opinion and often hang out with you.
♣♣♣♣♣ Vanitas is very loyal at this point. They're very protective and very open around you. Be careful because they would be devastated if they lost you.

✖✖✖✖✖. – They're definitely cold, and started to get a bit insulting. You can definitely tell you irritate them in some form, and they're snappish when talking to you
✖✖✖✖✖ .- Vanitas will flat out ignore you. if push come to shove they will answer you, especially if they have to but there is no love lost at this point. Unfortunately there is a lot of work to get out of here.
✖✖✖✖✖. –speaking your name makes them angry. There is hostility when ever they are around you and you definitely know it. They are more likely to give you up or sell you out.
✖✖✖✖✖ - Vanitas absolutely loathes your existence. They're snarky towards you, insulting, and rather stand offish. They don't trust you as far as they can throw you. its extremely hard to get out of this stage.
