He looked up a final time, even if the last two times he had been met with teeth, he still hoped, he still strived towards the voice that was warm, and familiar, and friendly....
And somehow, the shifting woods beneath him spat him back out this time not into the pit of the dark and teeth, but into the light.

Reflect had been napping under a tree, about to head back to that memory lake, before her eyes suddenly snapped open at the heavy vibrations in the earth, and the wails of forest creature and player alike. The Jabberwock, they said, the Jabberwock is here!
Not one to run for no reason, the girl stood to see just what they were running from - and found herself staring at a tremendous figure with the sharpest teeth she'd ever seen. It was horrifying, really. She bolted off after it snapped its massive maw at her, tearing away at her coat.
That'd respawn, right?

"Geeeeene~" She heard a voice call out. Was that... Xiu? No. Danny? No. Amphi? No - it was none of them. It was a light and airy voice though, something that sounded vaguely familiar, and entity on the edge of her mind-

Well, she thought as she sprinted, at least the game let them respawn. Unfortunately, as the cut on her shoulder revealed, the game didn't exactly respawn them in the best of places.
