Earendil chuckled and followed Miyuki out of the tent just in time to see River jump to her feet and squeal and just about tackle Miyuki in a hug.

"Good morning!" she bubbled excitedly. "I hope you slept well! I did, I don't even remember when I fell asleep! I was just riding the wagon, driving the horses, and boom! There I was, waking up with Grandmama and Grandpapa beside me! But I'm awake now and I have all my energy back and I feel really good! Aren't you eager to see what we're going to see today? I sure am!"

River giggled and let go of Miyuki, skittering back towards the fire. "Me too!" she beamed. "Let's see what Uncle Luk made!"

She took a seat by the fire and started looking through a basket that was nearby. "Hmm ... here's fruit ... want some fruit?"

River poked around the basket. "Well ... there's apples and peaches and pears ... some plums ... Ninako must have packed it, they have orchards in the valley that we don't have outside of it."

She smiled at Miyuki. "What do you want?"

"Here you go," River grinned, handing Miyuki a peach. She herself wanted something more, though, and she kept looking through the basket, hoping to find something.

Earendil moved to greet Lin when she emerged from the tent, looking very much as if she were either just barely awake, or sleepwalking.

"Morning," he chuckled, kissing her softly. "Are you awake?"

Earendil chuckled softly and hugged Lin, holding her close. "Take all the time you need, we're in no rush," he murmured into her ear. He traced one finger down her cheek then tickled her sides.

River couldn't find what she wanted in the basket, and she turned to look around for something else to eat, and she saw that Miyuki had grown.

She let out a squeal that made all her other squeals seem like tiny little squeaks.

Miyuki wasn't the only one to jump - all at the same time, everyone poured out of their tents to see what was the matter, all of them wondering what was going on, and if they were being attacked. In Aric and Leilani's tent, Remiel started crying, though both of his parents rushed out, blades drawn, to see what was going on.

"What ..."

River tackled Miyuki in a hug. "You grew! You grew! Look how big you are now! You're almost as big as me! And look! You have another tail!"

Everyone else relaxed and returned to what they were doing. Alene went to check on Shiloh (who was miraculously still asleep), Elros, Daeron and Luk set about preparing the meal, Luk headed back into his tent to get dressed, Aethos sat down to wait for breakfast, and though Leilani went inside their tent to hush Remiel, Aric could only stare at Miyuki incredulously.

Earendil laughed. "Well now, it seems you've grown again, Miyuki," he grinned. "Soon enough you'll be too big to share a tent with your mother and me!"
