literacy and genius status aren't married either.

neither is productivity and literacy. Unless you can provide proof. At least I've been trying to find ways to disprove it.

I just love to read. I don't know why people are so turned off of reading.
That's why I join my advanced literate threads because I love to read what, someone who is not famous at all,has created.
Don't bash on people cause they like to write. As much as they shouldn't bash on others for NOT wanting to write a lot.

*hugs Moni*
I just like bigger posts cause they're prettier. And art is all that matters to me. Thus it's the aesthetic that i believe is productive in its own right. By being literate, they are productive. It doesn't train them to become productive. It doesn't effect anything else, except for the prettiness of their posts, and the amount of beauty they add to the world. Thus they are more productive, because they produce more art.
on that note, why would i want to prove a silly thing like that? You hold my words to have more weight then they do. I wasn't making a point, i don't stand by those words, and i could care less.

Tonight is the night we become great! The Stars will show us the way! Don't get me wrong, I love reading. I was just making a joke, which only Vuc seemed to get. xD
However, I don't do advanced literate often because let's face it, if I wanted to write that much, I'd actually go work on my story. I'm all for details, but to milk out that much... I've seen it done, and it leads to (as you've all mentioned) nothing happening. =.=
So... I draw a line between writing my stories, and role playing.
Tonight is the night we become Great! The Stars are what gave us away!

I agree with Mana, and add the point that while I like reading, I like to respond and write as well. The longer the post I have to read, the longer it takes to respond, and the more words I have to remember, and sort out what I can use, and what I can't.

a very very valid point. But i still appreciate it, because it means there is occasionally ((unless it's 90% internal monologue, and they have a poker face)) a lot you can use.

A lot you can use, possibly a daunting amount. Sure, there's a lot you can do with, well, a lot, but sometimes too many options are a bad thing as well. *shrug* Oh, well. =) At least we've come to a conclusion-ish of the debate.

Well, as long as one stays on subject instead of going completely off track on a completely unrelated story, long posts are awesome. It takes some practice and I've yet to master it. D= Personally, I aim for 500 words. Sometimes it's more, sometimes its not.
