[[I do wonder what exactly poor Shin is thinking. sweatdrop ]]
Haro turned his head towards his lone mug of cocoa. Rubbing at his jaw, the boy winced slightly, "It's...it hurts, but- I'm okay," he reassured the other, or at least that's what he was trying to do. he didn't know how convincing he was. Shin...didn't seem to believe when he said he was fine...because usually he wasn't. Trying to avert the other's attention from him, Haro smiled as he took one of the tiger's bandaged hands, "Ne, are you okay?" He asked, biting his lower lip out of nervousness. He really didn't like...doing this. Acting like he was okay... But...it- Wei never cared and...he supposed it was just habit now.

"Haro..." he murmured, concerned. Shin didn't like it that the boy was trying to cover up his own pain... trying to distract Shin. "Haro, if something's wrong, please... please tell me," he pleaded, a note of actual need in his voice. "I can't help you if you insist that everything's fine... No matter how much I want to, I can't know exactly what hurts and what's bad and..." he paused, lowering his gaze from the other's face. He took a small step backwards from the other, his expression mingling worry and uncertainty. "Haro... I... I care for you... I... I really..." he murmured softly. "It... it hurts when-" He stopped himself and took a deep breath. "Nevermind..." Shin looked saddened - almost pained - but would say no more. It was Haro's business... Haro's decision... He just... he just wished the boy would open up to him more.
((Whaaaaat? He can't be perfectly happ and whatnot forever.))

[[Nono, he just didn't finish the thought and I was curious. X3]]
"But-" He was going to say something that would eventually be understood as, 'I won't tell you because you wouldn't be able to help me anyway,' but he had stopped himself of course. He had stopped because... when...when Shin- When he was near Shin, or thinking about him, the pain on the inside seemed to lessen, almost vanish. He sometimes completely forgot about it... The boy turned his head to the side as he continued in a small voice, "My shoulder hurts, and my jaw hurts, and- a-and..." Swallowing thickly, the boy took one of the tiger's hands without looking up, holding it against his own chest, over his heart, "This hurts."
No matter how much he denied it, or how happy he was with Shin...Wei- Wei...he had...always taken care of him (in some sense). He had... he had something of his that no one else in the world could ever get back. Maybe Haro felt like he didn't deserve anyone else than the snake. He- He had...he had loved- He...
It hurt.

((Then I'll be evil and leave it hanging because you and Haro do that to me all the time. xP x3;;; ))
"Haro..." he murmured, concerned eyes flickering back up to the other's face. "I... is there anything I can... do?" he asked. "Why... why does it hurt?" He could feel a small amount of panic begin to rise in himself. If... If Haro's heart hurt, even when Shin tried so hard to be nice and kind and helpful and... well, even if Haro said he liked Shin... and he seemed to like Shin - why else would someone kiss someone unless.... What if Haro felt obligated to try and like Shin - just because he had taken care of him? These thoughts tumbled through the dark-haired teens mind, each of them a terrible, sinking blow to his heart.

Golden flecked eyes turned downwards. "It still...hurts because of him... I wanted him to love me," he murmured in a soft voice, a scared voice. "I tried...s-so hard...t-to be nice to him and...a-and not complain when he- when he..." The boy cut off for a moment. It was hard to talk about things that no thirteen year old should have ever had to go through. "I didn't stop him." He looked up with a shameful expression, tears stinging at the corners of his eyes. "I didn't want to, but I didn't stop him," he added in a whisper. "I thought... I thought every time that ma-maybe n-next time it wouldn't be as bad... H-he wouldn't...he woudn't be so rough- but it only got worse." He hung his head, rubbing at the tears that were now falling.

Mie-tanuki Bo nodded eagerly, rubbing the palms of his hands together in anticipation. Of course, he was cold, too so it helped... After all, it was most deffinately winter now and Bo was not at all good at dealing with low temperatures. Bees just were not meant to brave snow, which was quite unfortunate for Bo. The city got pretty cold - and even snowed - in winter. He liked winter... well, he liked looking at it... but otherwise he couldn't stand it. It was just too cold for him. The shopkeeper nodded and smiled warmly at the young boy before yelling over his shoulder, "Adrian! There should be a box in the back room labled "Bo" grab it for me and bring it up here!" The shopkeeper then turned to Bo and inquired, "Would you care for a warm drink, a cup of tea or hot chocolate by chance?" Adrian leapt gracefully from the ladder unseen to the men in the front of the shop. He sauntered into the back room and glanced around. His eyes soon fell on the box the Old Man was speaking of. With one graceful motion he lifted the heavy box of books into his arms and walked to the shopkeeper. “Here,” was all he muttered as he set the box on the counter.

Bo smiled eagerly. "Some hot tea - with honey - would be nice if you have it... If not, then hot coacoa." He loved this book store. He knew all the long-time workers on a first name basis and he was welcome here pretty much any time - even after closing. He looked up as the heavy box was dropped down on the counter, noting that he hadn't the fogiest who this new arival was. "'Lo," he said as a way a greeting, giving the other a bit of a smile. "I don't think I've seen you here before... are you new?" he inquired. He liked chatting - especially with the people here. They were always warm and welcoming and kind. And quiet - something he never got back home.
((Again... Bo smells overwhelmingly of animals. Adrian could probably pick up that scent from miles away. xD;;;; ))

Shin was quite shocked. He had... well, of course he had guessed something of this nature might have happened between the two... but Haro had never spoken about it. He had forgotten all his own troubles - his pain that the other hadn't shared with him - in an instant and had taken the few steps forward to close the distance between the two in the next instant. He wrapped his arms quickly around the boy's form, wanting to hug and comfort the sadness out of him. He pressed his lips gently to the crown of Haro's head. He had... well, he'd been through... things in his childhood.... But this... this was unspeakable, terrible... He was suddenly filled with a cold, burning hatred for the one who had done this - Wei.

Adrian looked at the young boy that reeked of animals. He wrinkled his nose before snorting out the scent. He glanced once more at the boy before nodding and turning to head back to stacking shelves.
"Boy!" called the Shopkeeper who was preparing some tea, "run in back and grab some honey!" The Shopkeeper was not verbose by any means and this was the most he had ever spoken to Adrian.
Adrian glanced at the Shopkeeper before his eyes flickered over the young boy again. 'He must be a favorite customer,' mused Adrian as he sauntered into the back again, 'the old man seemed to favor this one to the others.' He shortly returned with the honey and placed on the counter near the box. Adrian's eyes caught the Shopkeepers and raised an eyebrow. Adrian language for "anything else?"
"No, no," the elderly man smiled before turning back to Bo, "The overly chatty fellow that I just had to shoo back to work is my new employee, Adrian. He's full time so you'll probably see him quite a bit." The Shopkeeper's eyes turned back to where Adrian had disappeared. "Interesting fellow, doesn't say much or demand much, hard worker too."

"Of dear," Bo mused. "I thought the stoic bookworker type person was just fabled in books, but I guess they really do exist," he said with a bit of a laugh. He eyed the honey for a moment, his mouth already beginning to water. He loved honey. Well... of course he loved honey. He was a bee, after all. "So how's the shop doing?" he asked, leaning over against the counter. "Must be doing alright if you can still manage to afford giving me honey all the time," he said with a small grin. THe shopkeeper had probably given Bo more honey in a month than the man had eaten his entire life. Bo was a serious honey addict.

The Shopkeeper glanced at the young boy and smiled sadly, "actually the other workers left me. I couldn't keep up with the increasing pay they desired." The Shopkeeper then nodded in the direction Adrian disappeared, "then out of the blue this young man appears, asks for a job, has no application or previous employeers and works harder then all my previous works put together. He also doesn't ask for much either. Just a place to stay, three meals a day, and, how did he word it, a chance to interact with man?" The Shopkeeper contemplated it for a bit before smiling. "I do enjoy the young man's company. He's a quiet presence but I get the feeling he's more intuned with his surrounding then anyone else. Also," the Shopkeeper leant down and motioned Bo nearer before whispering, "he has no schooling either, not one year." He then straightened and smiled. "Hard worker though, damn hard worker-- goes hunting every once in a while to, brings back rabbit and a lot of woodland birds."

Bo frowned slightly at the man's description of Adrian. Bo wasn't smart - he was about as average as a pine cone - but something smelled fishy... The man sounded almost as if he might be... Well, no, that was stupid to think the man might be another animal. Bo knew there were others - after all, his whole family were all some sort of animal. But still... Bo half wished he was some other animal - a dog, maybe. Then he would be able to smell if this man were an animal. But, alas, his nose was little better than the best of human noses. "Hmm, well... he sounds interesting," he murmured throughtfully, still looking slightly troubled.

Adrian rubbed his nose, the scent of many animals still filled it and he sneezed. Glowering he started putting books back; he heard what the old man was saying and wasn't amused. Not that he could blame him, it seemed his previous employees were chatter boxes and laz-abouts which, in turn, made the old man expect he was. When that turned out to be false the old man was ecstatic. He was a listener, and the old man had a lot to say. With the ease of his breed Adrian climbed the old ladder once more. He was strong for his breed, and extremely agile. Grey foxes weren’t particulary social creatures but he was more anti-social then most. He had noted, however, that the young boy was—cute? Is that the word? But in a I-need-protection-save-me type way. Adrian shook his head. Silly boy, foolish old man. Why was he pondering them?
“Do you like the tea? Would you like some biskets? I could have Adrian run and grab some for you.” The Shopkeeper stated with a smile. He enjoyed when young Bo came over, good conversation and the youthfulness of the boy seemed to rub off as well.

[[I...don't...know. D:]]
That was right. He didn't- He shouldn't let anyone else be with him...who wanted something that was broken? Something that wouldn't easily be fixed? Haro liked Shin, he really really did, but he also didn't want to put that burden on him. He knew he'd have (bigger) problems...eventually, and soon enough those problems would be too much. People just didn't like trying to figure out othes' lives for them... and Haro suspected that he'd need more than a lot of guidance in the near future. Too much of a burden for someone that didn't need it... no one else but the person who had created them.
That was why... why he couldnt let himself become attached to anyone else. He may not exactly love Wei anymore, but he could learn again? He...could try...? The boy leaned his forehead gently against the tiger's shoulder, leaning inward as he stifled his scared noise. Sad noises.
He wished he could be with...that he could allow himself to be with...s-someone...who cared for him. Shin? He- Grasping onto the older teen's shirt, Haro breathed out a shaky sigh before lifting his head, murmuring a soft apology. "I-" I ruin things. "I'm-" I'm scared. "Can-?" You? Can you be-? "Do...you- Can you...still like me? E-even if- A-after...even after, what..." Wincing, the boy turned his eyes towards the far wall, "I did? He...did?" It was obvious that the boy had some sort of guilt complex connected to his past, which only fed the idea that he wasn't good enough for anyone else. He didn't want to be ruled by that guilt, that guilt that shouldn't have even existed, no matter what Wei did- had forced him to do... "You don't...h-have to." he murmured, brows furrowed as he waited for an answer.
